Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a pallet container assembly comprising a corrugated cardboard pallet or other semi-rigid material and a cardboard belt also, the belt and the pallet being secured to each other; the invention is more particularly the means for connecting the belt to the pallet.

For the transport of heavy or bulky objects, pallets are used consisting of a plate provided with supports in the form of pads, pads or sleepers. These are arranged under the plate so as to allow the passage of the forks of a handling machine. Pallets are usually made of wood, but there are also pallets with a thick corrugated cardboard top and cardboard supports. In this case, reinforcing elements are generally associated with the supports to improve the resistance to the vertical load. An exemplary embodiment of support comprises a sleeve forming a cross-piece extending from one edge to the other of the plate with blocks distributed inside the sleeve and sufficiently strong to withstand the loads placed on the pallet plate. .

The latter type of pallet can be combined with a box or a belt also made of cardboard for containing loads. This is to ensure the maintenance of the cash during handling operations. Solutions already exist on the means of making the box integral with the tray so that during the transport in particular but more generally throughout the period of use, the package and pallet form an inseparable unit. The realization of this type of pallet box may however be complex insofar as the cardboard is a less durable material than wood. Due to elaborate bends, the mounting may not be simple.

The present applicant has already proposed for example an assembly described in patent FR 2 789 975: a box is placed on a pallet and is fixed to the pallet. The box comprises a belt and lower end flaps, each extending one wall of the belt downwards. The pallet plate has two flat slots for receiving and retaining the end flaps of the crate. The two flat interstices extend substantially parallel to the plane of the plate and open through respective slots in opposite sides front and rear of the plate.

Another example is described in patent FR 2 883 847 where the tray of the pallet comprises at least one tongue which is integral therewith and is cut in the cardboard plate of the tray for locking a package resting on the pallet. Preferably, the plate comprises two tabs along two opposite sides cooperating with notches along the edges between the belt and the bottom of the package.

The Applicant has set itself the goal of producing a container with a pallet, essentially made of cardboard or other semi-rigid material, comprising a means of retaining or locking the belt of the container to the pallet and allowing the assembly of all in a way as simple and easy as possible. In addition, it would be desirable that the fastening means requires the installation of any insert so that the assembly is as economical as possible.

Preferably, in order to strengthen the bond, the container comprises a second retaining means between a second panel of the belt and a support flap adjacent to said second panel.

According to one feature, the stud flap is cut into said first panel in the manner of a window.

According to another characteristic the shutter with mortise is cut in the side support panel in the manner of a window.

Figure 1 shows a pallet 1 cardboard, including corrugated, or other semi-rigid material. The pallet thus comprises a plate 2 on the lower face of which are fixed crosspieces 5 forming pallet supports. The sleepers, here in number of three allow the passage of the forks of a handling and lifting equipment. Optionally, the sleepers have openings to give access to the forks of the machine perpendicular to the sleepers 5. They do not have here.
