Description

The present invention relates to a tray made of cardboard sheet material having a rectangular bottom and a sidewall belt reinforced by pillars formed by folding a portion of the walls, to be manually mounted.

It also relates to a blank for the realization of such a tray.

It finds a particularly important application although not exclusive in the field of storage trays and transport of packaged products of any type (rigid or flexible) whose use is not limited to transport (requiring good rigidity and good compressive strength) but is also suitable for storing and presenting products in departments.

Such trays are flexible and thus allow a mix making them suitable for the delivery and / or the simultaneous promotion of several different products.

In the case where they are used with a lid, they are of easy opening. When opened on the side, they allow products to be visible by making them also directly accessible to consumers.

We already know ( FR 2,747,643 ) Corrugated cardboard trays with corner pillars obtained by folding end flaps.

Such trays, if they have good compressive strength, do not allow a presentation of the products on the sides.

We also know ( EP 2 036 827 ) modular trays provided with support elements connectable to the top tray by the kiss of side pillars obtained by folding.

Such packages require the presence of connecting rods and are therefore complicated to implement.

All these trays are designed to be folded, glued by being mounted automatically.

They therefore require investment in expensive machines and not always justified when the quantities sought are not very important.

The document EP 2 277 785 discloses a tray having all the features of the preamble of claim 1. The present invention aims to provide a tray and a blank made of cardboard sheet material better than those previously known to the requirements of the practice, in particular in that it allows to have the same advantages of presentation and solidity as with trays mounted in automatic with machines, while avoiding their costs and saving in cardboard surface compared to existing trays up to about 20% .

It is adapted to all product sizes, to a homogeneous presentation in linear, POS or pallet, and optimizes the sales area while facilitating access to products and allowing excellent identification of the product. Mark.

With the invention, the costs of multiple packaging are reduced, because of the modular nature of the trays that are storable for different products on the same pallet and their great flexibility because of their manual assembly, on demand and on request. absence of bonding.

A construction of the plate with a double bottom allowing a better resistance to buckling can also provided, the possibility of implementing vertical grooves doubled on the sides and the rear of the plate ensuring a better compressive strength and greater stability of the load.

Thus, an optimized Resistance / Surface / Weight ratio is achieved, with a carton, which can be fully recycled which reduces CO2 emissions.

Finally, such a tray makes it possible to limit the number of movements for placing in the linear, eliminating the need for a cutter and / or pre-cut when placing on the shelf.

The invention will be better understood on reading the following description of an embodiment given hereinafter by way of non-limiting example. The description refers to the accompanying drawings in which:
  • The figure 1 is a perspective view of a tray according to one embodiment of the invention.
  • The figure 2 is a plan view of the blank for obtaining a tray of the type shown in FIG. figure 1 .
  • The figures 3 and 4 are perspective views of stacking on pallets of several trays according to the embodiment of the figure 1 .
  • The Figures 5A to 5J show the manual assembly steps of the plateau of the figure 1 from a blank of the type of the figure 2 .

The figure 1 shows a plate 1, made of corrugated cardboard, for example three millimeters thick, having a rectangular bottom 2 and a belt 3 of rectangular or substantially rectangular walls, namely two opposite first walls 5, 7 and two opposite second walls 4, 6.

The second walls 4, 6 respectively form a front wall 4 and a rear wall 6.

In the embodiment more particularly described here, the first lateral walls 5, 7 have a symmetry with respect to a transverse plane of the plate along an axis 8.

Each of the first walls 5, 7 further comprises a reinforcing element 9 forming a pillar.

The pillar is of substantially triangular base section included in the corresponding wall and having a vertical edge 9 'protruding inside the tray.

Le pilier s'étend sur toute la hauteur du plateau, à savoir la hauteur des parois latérales 5, 7, ou est légèrement supérieur en dépassant par le dessus de quelque dixième de millimètre (par exemple entre 0.5 mm et 2.5 mm).The pillar extends over the entire height of the tray, namely the height of the side walls 5, 7, or is slightly higher, exceeding by the top of some tenth of a millimeter (for example between 0.5 mm and 2.5 mm).

Each pillar 9 is set back from the front wall 4, that is to say at a distance thereof between 5% and 40% of the length of the side walls 5, 7 considered.

The front wall 4 is of smaller height than the other three walls, side 5, 7 and rear 6, of substantially the same height.

The height of the front wall 4 is for example between 1/10 e and 1/5 e of the total height of the plate (ie other walls) for example 3 cm for a height of 15 cm.

In this way, the contents of the tray 1 is made very accessible.

Each wall 4, 5, 6, 7 is formed by wrapping, namely the folding of a cardboard flap on another flap of the same dimensions or substantially of the same dimensions, the two being interconnected by a double fold line forming thus a wall with double panel (or shutter).

More specifically, and with reference to the figure 2 the tray is formed by folding the blank F. This comprises internal flaps 10, 11, 12, 13 that is to say having a surface facing the interior of the tray, on which are folded flaps external 14, 15, 16, 17 of identical shape or substantially identical to the corresponding inner flaps.

The outer flap 16 is connected on one side to the bottom flap 2 by a first fold line 18 (for example double), and on both sides to the flaps 14, 15 of the first two walls 5, 7, by second fold lines 19, 20.

Les deuxièmes lignes de pliage 19, 20 sont perpendiculaires à la première ligne de pliage 18.The second fold lines 19, 20 are perpendicular to the first fold line 18.

The first walls 5, 7 also comprise the internal flaps 10, 11, connected on the one hand to the outer flaps 14, 15, respectively, by a third folding line 21, 22 double and on the other hand (pre-cut) at the internal shutter 12.

Les volets internes 10, 11, 12, 13 comprennent chacun quant-à-eux un bord périphérique libre 25, 26, 27, 28 opposé auxdites quatrième lignes de pliage doubles 21, 22, 23, 24, munis d'ergots 30, 31 ; 32, 33 ; 34, 35 ; 36, 37, 38 en saillie par rapport à eux.The inner flaps 10, 11, 12, 13 each comprise a free peripheral edge 25, 26, 27, 28 opposite to said fourth double fold lines 21, 22, 23, 24, provided with lugs 30, 31 ; 32, 33; 34, 35; 36, 37, 38 protruding from them.

These lugs are locked by friction and / or by snapping with the upper face 29 of the bottom 2 and / or are embedded in small rectangular recesses 39, 40; 41, 42 corresponding bottom 2 plateau.

Les volets internes 10, 11 des premières parois 5, 7 comportent chacun un panneau central 43, 44 rectangulaire de longueur l inférieure à la largeur L du fond 2.The inner flaps 10, 11 of the first walls 5, 7 each comprise a rectangular central panel 43, 44 of length l less than the width L of the bottom 2.

The length l is for example between 200 mm and 380 mm for a width L between 320 mm and 450 mm for example 380.

On the opposite side to the inner flap 12, the inner flaps 10 and 11 respectively comprise a series of tabs and / or flaps. That is to say that the panels 43, 44 are respectively connected to one of their lateral ends 45, 46 by a fifth fold line 47, 48 to the reinforcing element 9 forming a pillar provided with a flap. end, said first flap 49, 50.

Le premier rabat 49, 50 est rectangulaire par exemple de 80 mm par 30 mm à 160 mm par 110 mm.The first flap 49, 50 is rectangular for example 80 mm by 30 mm to 160 mm by 110 mm.

The first flap 49, 50 cooperates with the inner face 51 of the outer flap 17 of the second front wall 4.

L'élément de renfort 9 est quant-à-lui replié et bloqué par rapport audit panneau central 43, 44 par le biais d'un rabat latéral trapézoïdal, dit second rabat 52, 53.The reinforcing element 9 is itself folded and locked relative to said central panel 43, 44 by means of a trapezoidal lateral flap, said second flap 52, 53.

This is connected to the outer flap 14, 15 of the first wall 5, 7 by a sixth fold line 54, 55, double, located on the opposite side to the second fold lines 19, 20.

The pillar is subsequently formed which is formed of a series of three vertical tongues 56, 57, 58; 59, 60, 61 between the inner flaps 10 and 11 and the first flaps 49, 50.

The three vertical tongues, of a height equal to or slightly greater than that of the inner flap 12, are interconnected by seventh fold lines 62.

The first two tabs 56, 57; 59, 60 form the pillar 9 and the third tongue 58, 61 end, is locked by snapping a lug 63, 64 blocking, secured to the second side flap 52, 53 corresponding, in a recess 65, 66 along the seventh fold line 62 facing.

The second flap forms a side 67 of the first walls 5, 7 comprising the sixth fold line 54, 55, obliquely to the vertical on its upper part along said sixth line, and comprising in the lower part a third flap 68 , rectangular, arranged to cooperate with the inner face of the first flap 49, 50 corresponding, the fourth fold line 24 of the second front wall 4 being of a thickness corresponding to two thicknesses of the sheet of the cardboard.

In the embodiment more particularly described here, the bottom is reinforced.

Each outer flap 14, 15 of a first wall 5, 7 comprises, on the opposite side to the third fold lines 21, 22, and connected by an eighth fold line 69, 70, a lower flap 71, 72 folded on the face top of the bottom 2 of the tray to form a half-double bottom to the tray.

Les volets inférieurs 71, 72 sont de forme sensiblement rectangulaire par exemple de 320 mm par 320 mm à 460 mm par 460 mm.The lower flaps 71, 72 are of substantially rectangular shape for example 320 mm by 320 mm to 460 mm by 460 mm.

They are for example substantially symmetrical, with the exception of means 73, 74 for locking one with the other, with respect to the plane along the axis 8 and thus each form a half double bottom of the plate.

The locking means 73, 74 comprise a substantially trapezoidal pin on the free edge of one of the lower flaps 71, 72 adapted to collaborate with a groove on the other in a connection of the dovetail type.

Une fois les plateaux 1 formées ceux-ci peuvent être empilés tel que représenté sur les figures 3 et 4.Once the trays 1 have been formed, they can be stacked as shown in the drawings. figures 3 and 4 .

Their structure having a good resistance to compression their dimensions can be adapted to occupy a quarter pallet P ( figure 3 ) or an entire pallet per shift ( figure 4 ) without additional means of maintaining a stack of tray.

During the superposition of the trays, the tenons Tr of the bottom plate protrude from the corresponding wall 5, 7 to form a connection of the mortise type by fitting into the complementary recesses Er forming opening of the top tray.

In another embodiment the blank also includes openings of complementary shape to the flaps of the reinforcing pillar on the eighth line of folding adapted to collaborate with the height overhang of said pillar.

Le montage en manuel d'un plateau à partir du flan selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention va maintenant être plus particulièrement décrit en référence aux figures 5A à 5J.Manually mounting a tray from the blank according to one embodiment of the invention will now be more particularly described with reference to Figures 5A to 5J .

On the Figure 5A is presented the first step of mounting the plate that is the provision of an unfolded flat blank F.

In a second step ( Figure 5B ) the operator folds the inner flaps 10, 11, 12 around their fold line 22, 23 to form the inner flap rim on the outer flaps.

The folding is carried out at 180 ° so that the faces of the flaps are in contact.

The operator then protrudes (arrows 81) the edge of the pillar 9 reinforcement (step three, Figure 5C ), to form a dihedron. For this, the operator exerts a force in the plane of the blank and pushes in the inner direction of the blank as represented by the arrows 81.

This operation is carried out for example by placing a hand on either side of the vertical tabs 56, 57; 59, 60 on the flaps 10, 58; 11, 61.

The operator presses on the vertical tabs 56, 57; 59, 60 and maintains the reinforcement 9 in the form of a pyramid with a base on the corresponding blanks smaller than that sought.

In other words, it keeps the pyramids with a smaller apex angle than the final angle or stability.

The free edge 82 oblique in the plane of the blank of the vertical tongues 58, 60 then corresponds substantially to the sixth fold lines 54, 55.

The third flaps 68 then protrude first flaps 49, 50, and the second flaps 52, 53 (which protrude without vis-à-vis).

With reference to the figure 5D , the second substantially triangular flaps 52, 53 are then folded to 180 ° along the sixth fold lines 67 oblique on the vertical tabs 58, 61 previously folded (arrows 82).

The operator then releases the pressure on the reinforcement 9 and by spring effect of the cardboard and / or by pulling the operator in the opposite direction to that to form the reinforcement (arrows 83) it departs the base of the reinforcement 9 (step five , figure 5E ).

The operator ensures and / or guides the lugs 63, 64 to lock them by snap-fastening and integral mounting of the second lateral flap 52, 53 in the recess 65, 66 respectively along the seventh row 54, 55 of folding when they are opposite.

The operator then folds (arrows 84) the lower flaps 71, 72 at an angle of 90 ° with respect to the remainder of the blank along the eighth fold lines 69 (step six, figure 5F ).

Then, by folding (arrows 85) around the second fold lines 19, 20 at an angle of the order of 90 °, the operator brings the lower flaps 71, 72 closer together and brings the locking means (73, 74) in the locking position to form a double bottom to the plate (step seven, figure 5G ).

The post 73 is then inserted into the groove 74 to form the dovetail connection.

L'opérateur bascule alors (flèches 86) l'ensemble par pliage de 90° sur le fond 2 suivant la première ligne de pliage pour former le fond renforcé 87 du plateau 1 (étape huit, figure 5H).The operator then switches (arrows 86) the assembly by folding 90 ° on the bottom 2 along the first fold line to form the reinforced bottom 87 of the plate 1 (step eight, figure 5H ).

L'ensemble des premiers et troisièmes rabats 49, 68 ; 50, 68 sont alors repliés de 90° vers l'intérieur du plateau (flèches 88) selon la neuvième ligne de pliage 89 (étape neuf, figure 5I).The set of first and third flaps 49, 68; 50, 68 are then bent 90 ° towards the inside of the tray (arrows 88) along the ninth folding line 89 (step nine, figure 5I ).

The operator completes the mounting of the tray by wrapping the front face 4, that is to say by folding 180 ° (arrows 90) the inner face 13 on the outer face 17 following the fourth double fold line 24 and by folding the assembly at 90 ° to form the front face (step ten, figure 5J ).

The assembly is secured by friction and / or clipping of the flanges 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 etc. with the bottom and / or corresponding recesses.

As is obvious and as also follows from the above, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments more particularly described.

On the contrary, it embraces all the variants and in particular those where the fold lines are double, and / or where they comprise between two fold line a tab of boxes.
