Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of garden furniture and more particularly relates to a swing comprising a hinged chaise longue. It is known to make swings with a frame, 5 serving as a base, which is suspended a seat that can accommodate one or more people. The suspension of this seat to the frame of the swing is usually done by means of one or more pivot links allowing the user installed on the seat or on the chair to animate the latter 10 with a rocker movement . This pendulum movement aims to provide comfort, pleasure and relaxation to the user of the swing. In order to increase the comfort of the user, it is also known to make swings whose seat is connected to a backrest, a footrest or both. The backrest and / or the footrest can also have slight adjustment possibilities. It is known to perform this adjustment by means of a system comprising notches, each notch defining a particular angle of inclination of the backrest relative to the seat on which the user sits. These adjustment systems are satisfactory in that they improve the comfort of the user. However, the user installed in the swing and wishing to change the inclination of its folder is often forced to leave the swing to make the desired setting. This operation can be all the more restrictive for the user that he must sometimes do several times when the adjustment made is inconclusive. In addition, when a folder and a footrest are present, it is usually not possible to adjust both simultaneously. Finally, the known adjustment systems limit the possibilities of adjusting the inclination of the backrest to a predetermined number of positions. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to solve all or some of the disadvantages mentioned above. For this purpose, the present invention relates to a swing comprising a base, suspension means and a chair suspended from the base by the suspension means, characterized in that the chair comprises a backrest linked to a seat by a pivot connection P1, a footrest linked to the seat by a pivot link P2, and connecting means between the footrest and the backrest. The invention thus allows the user sitting on the chair to simultaneously adjust the inclination of the backrest and the inclination of the footrest. Indeed, the connecting means set in motion by the inclination of the footrest cause the setting in motion, so the inclination of the folder. Conversely, the connecting means set in motion by the inclination of the backrest cause the setting in motion, so the inclination, of the footrest. The user modifies the inclination of the backrest and the footrest by shifting its center of gravity and by light impulses given using the hips or legs. It can adjust the inclination of the backrest and footrest without leaving the chair. Advantageously, the connecting means between the footrest and the backrest comprise at least one connecting rod, one of the ends of this connecting rod being connected to the backrest by a pivot connection P3 and the other end of the connecting rod being connected to the backrest. foot by pivot connection P4. According to another characteristic of the invention, the connecting rod and the seat are parallel. According to another characteristic of the invention, the inertia of the footrest is greater than the inertia of the backrest, so that the chair has a stable equilibrium position corresponding to a sitting position of the user. The advantage of this feature is to allow the chair to maintain an equilibrium position corresponding to a sitting position of the user when not in use. This feature also has the advantage of facilitating, for the user lying down on the chair, the return to a sitting position. Indeed, the bending of his legs against the footrest and leaning slightly forward, combined with the greater inertia of the footrest, allows the user to find without excessive effort a sitting position. Preferably, the pivot connection (P3) is located on an intermediate portion of the backrest (10), and the pivot connection (P2) is located on an intermediate portion of the footrest (12), so that the footrest (12) ) has an extension (12a) at the end of which is located the pivot connection (P4).
This feature has the advantage of ensuring that the rod can take the place of armrest and thus allow the user to rest his arms and / or his hands and / or his elbows when sitting on the chair, without complicate the structure of the swing. According to another characteristic of the swing according to the invention, the base comprises lateral uprights comprising a bend.
This feature has the advantage of allowing the user to rely on the lateral uprights as well to sit on the chair to get up. It may also allow the user to grab the swing to move it. According to another characteristic of the swing according to the invention, the lateral uprights of the base diverge from each other when approaching the ground. This feature has the advantage of giving the side uprights a flared shape to improve the stability of the swing. According to another characteristic of the swing according to the invention, the base comprises sleepers intended to rest on the ground and connected at each of their ends to the lateral uprights, the ends of these sleepers comprising a bend. The advantage of this feature is to further stabilize the swing. According to another characteristic of the swing according to the invention, the backrest, the seat and the footrest each comprise a frame, these frames being covered by at least one removable fabric having cutouts. The advantage of this feature is to extend the armrests to the backrest or even beyond the backrest thanks to the cut-outs, in order to provide the user with more room to rest his arms and / or his elbows and / or his hands, and thus bring him more comfort. Preferably, the seat comprises a cross member to maintain the fabric tension. According to another characteristic of the swing according to the invention, at least one of the lateral uprights comprises a housing for receiving means for protection against the sun, and a water discharge hole. The advantage of this feature is to allow the user to be able to attach to the swivel removably means of protection from the sun, for example a sunshade. The presence of the water evacuation hole makes it possible to prevent the accumulation of water which would have entered through the housing intended to receive the means of protection against the sun. The aims, aspects and advantages of the present invention will be better understood from the description given hereinafter of an embodiment of the present invention, given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the appended drawings in which: : - Figure 1 is a perspective view of a swing according to a particular embodiment of the invention; - Figure 2 is a side view of a swing in a particular embodiment of the invention, in equilibrium position corresponding to a sitting position of the user; - Figures 3 and 4 are respectively a side view and a perspective view of a swing according to a particular embodiment of the invention, in the extended position; FIGS. 5, 6, 7 and 8 are perspective views of the elements of the suspension system of a swing seat according to a particular embodiment of the invention; - Figure 9 is a perspective view of a swing according to a particular embodiment, provided with means of protection against the sun; - Figures 10, 11, 12 and 13 are perspective views of the different steps of folding a swing according to a particular embodiment of the invention; Figure 1 shows a swing 1 with a base 2, 25 of the suspension means, and a chair 3 suspended from the base 2 by the suspension means. The base 2 comprises lateral uprights 4, 5 and cross members 6,7, the cross members 6,7 connecting the lateral uprights 4,5. In the particular embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, the lateral uprights 4,5 and the crosspieces 6,7 are metal tubes, for example made of aluminum, steel or stainless steel. The side posts 4,5 and the cross members 6,7 can also be made by bars or tubes of metal, wood, plastic. Other materials such as fiberglass or carbon may be used. In the embodiment described and although it is not shown, the cross members 6, 7 may comprise at each end sleeves intended to be fitted into the ends of the lateral uprights 4, 5. A hole, made in each end of the lateral uprights 4,5 and in each sleeve, allows a pin inserted in this hole to complete the securing side jambs 4,5 and cross members 6,7.
In a variant not shown, instead of a pin, a lug provided with biasing means such as a spring can be inserted into the holes at each end of the lateral uprights 4,5 and sleeves. In order to stabilize the swing 1, the lateral uprights 4,5 are such that the distance separating them increases as they descend towards the ground, thus presenting a flared shape. The fact that the lateral uprights 4,5 diverge close to the ground makes it possible to increase the stability of the swing 1. In the embodiment described of the swing 1 according to the invention, the cross members 6,7 are directly supported on floor. In a variant not shown in the various figures, the cross members 6, 7 may comprise at each end a horizontal U-shaped bend. This increases the stability of the swing 1. The side uprights 4,5 may include gripping means, such as elbows or handles, allowing the user to grasp them to help to sit on chair 3 or get up. These gripping means can also allow the user to grasp the lateral uprights 4,5 in order to move the swing 1. In the particular embodiment of the swing 1 according to the invention, the gripping means are bends 8, 9 formed by side jambs 4,5.
The chair 3 is an articulated chair and can adopt any position between a sitting position, visible in Figure 1, and an elongated position, visible in Figures 3 and 4. As shown in Figure 2, the chair 3 comprises a backrest 10, a seat 11 and a footrest 12. The backrest 10, the seat 11 and the footrest 12 may be metal, plastic, wood. Other materials such as fiberglass or carbon may also be used. The backrest 10 is connected to the seat 11 by a pivot link P1; the footrest 12 is connected to the seat 11 by a pivot link P2. The pivot links P1 and P2 are made by an axis or pin entering a bore or bore. The chair 3 further comprises connecting means between the backrest 10 and the footrest 12. In the embodiment of the swing 1 described, these connecting means are constituted by at least one connecting rod 13. One end of the connecting rod 13 is linked to the backrest 10 by a pivot connection P3, the other end of the connecting rod 13 being connected to the footrest 12 by a pivot connection P4. The rod 13, the footrest 12, the seat 11 and the backrest 10 thus form, seen in profile as shown in Figure 3, a deformable parallelogram. In the embodiment described, the pivot connection P1 is located at the end of the backrest 10 and the pivot connection P2 is located on an intermediate part of the footrest 12, so that the footrest 12 has an extension 12a to the the pivot link P2 and forming one of the sides of the parallelogram. In a variant not shown, the pivot connection P2 may be located at the end of the footrest 12 and the pivot connection P1 may be located on an intermediate portion of the backrest 10, so that the backrest 10 has an extension below of the pivot link P1 and forming one of the sides of the parallelogram. In this variant not shown, the parallelogram would be located below the seat 11. This arrangement creates a dynamic synchronization between the backrest 10 and the footrest 12. Thus, the rotation of the footrest 12 relative to the connection pivot P2 or P4 causes the rotation of the backrest 10 relative to the pivot link P1 or P3. Conversely, the rotation of the backrest 10 relative to the pivot connection P1 or P3 causes rotation of the footrest 12 relative to the pivot connection P2 or P4. The adjustment of the inclination of the backrest 10 and the footrest 12 is simultaneous. It is sufficient for the user initially sitting on the chair 3 to lean back to reach a lying position. From this extended position, it is sufficient for the user to straighten and bend the legs to straighten the chair 3 to a sitting position. In a variant not shown, the extension 12a of the footrest 12 comprises abutment means, for example a metal rod welded to the extension 12a. These abutment means form on the extension 12a a lug substantially parallel to the axis of the pivot link P2. These abutment means are intended to bear against the seat 11 when the user leans back to reach an extended position. This makes it possible to block the relative rotation of the footrest 12 relative to the seat 11 and thus to define an extreme extended position beyond which it is not possible to further incline the backrest 10 and the footrest 12. The parallelogram can not be reversed. The inertia of the footrest 12 is also higher than that of the backrest 10. This facilitates the return of the chair 3 to a sitting position when the user bends the legs against the footrest 12 and leans slightly forward. In addition, this allows the chair 3 to return of itself or to maintain a stable equilibrium position corresponding to a sitting position, visible in Figures 1 or 2, when not in use.
The chair 3 may include armrests. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the connecting means between the backrest 10 and the footrest 12 can serve as armrests. In this embodiment of the swing 1 according to the invention, the rods 13 form with the armrests a single piece, which has the advantage of simplifying the structure of the swing 1. In a variant not shown, the rods 13 each have an angle. On each angle are fixed the armrests, for example by means of screws. The armrests can be made of wood and can have a stick shape to increase the comfort of the user.
As previously described, the chair 3 is suspended from the base 2 by suspension means. In the embodiment of the swing 1 according to the invention described, the suspension means comprise rods 15,16 and a receiving part 14 of the rods 15,16 attached to the lateral uprights 4,5, for example by welding. The rods 15, 16 are connected to the link 13 by pivot links, respectively P3 and P5, located at one of their ends. In the embodiment described, the pivot connection P5 is located on an intermediate portion of the connecting rod 13 and does not coincide with the pivot connection P4. As shown in Figure 5, the rod 15 has a lumen 17 at one of its ends, the lumen 17 having an opening so as to form a hook. The rod 16 has at one of its ends an axis 18 terminated by a stop 19, the stop 19 being intended to bear against the receiving part 14. The axis 18 passes through the light 17 of a on the other hand, in order to connect the rods 15 and 16, and is housed inside a slot 20 in the form of an oblong hole formed in the receiving part 14 of the rods 15, 16 on the other hand. Thus is realized a P6 pivot connection allowing a rocking movement of the chair 3.
In the described embodiment of the swing 1 according to the invention, the backrest 10, the seat 11 and the footrest 12 each comprise an armature. As shown in Figures 1 and 9, a fabric 21 covers these frames. The fabric 21 is removable and has cutouts 22, 23. These cutouts allow the extension of the armrests to the backrest 1 0 and beyond the backrest 10. The extension of the armrests can increase the support surface of the arms and / or elbows and / or hands of the user, so his comfort. As shown in FIG. 1, a cross-member 24 makes it possible to tension the fabric 21 to prevent it from hanging at the level of the seat 11. The base 2 can comprise a housing 25, as indicated in FIG. 9 The housing 25 can accommodate means of protection of the user of the swing 1 against the sun. It is thus possible to place the handle of a parasol 26 in the base 2. The base 2 also serves as sunshade foot. Although this does not appear in the various figures, the base 2 may include a water discharge hole to evacuate the water that would have entered through the housing 25 in the base 2, for example water rain. According to another embodiment of the swing 1 according to the invention, as can be seen in Figures 10 to 13, the transverse elements of the swing 1, such as the various sleepers, are removable, foldable or removable to allow the folding of the swing 1 in the manner of an accordion, to facilitate its storage or packaging.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, this embodiment having been given as an example. Modifications are possible, particularly from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by the substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
Thus, the connecting rod 13 can be placed under the seat 11, one of its ends being linked by a pivot connection to a cross member of the backrest 10 and its other end being connected by a pivot connection to a cross member of the footrest 12 .
