Claims (7)

  1. Item of reclining furniture (1, 20) such as a chair, seat or bed, of the type comprising a back part (8, 21) and a seat part (9, 22), each delimited by a rigid frame (8, 21) (9, 22) and in which the frame (9, 22) of the seat part is fixed and articulated (19, 20) (33, 34) in a rigid support framework (2, 30) forming a foot, characterised:
    - in that the rigid frames defining the back part (8) and the seat part (9) are delimited by tubes arranged face to face, in such a way that the free ends (11-14) of the said tubes are facing each other;
    - in that the said free ends (11-14) of the said tubes which are facing each other are connected together in pairs by an elastic sleeve (15, 16; 23, 24);
    - and in that the lateral branches of the lateral tubes of the frame (8, 21) delimit the back part and have positioning means (22; 38, 39, 40) on the framework (2, 30), so that the back part (8, 21) is inclined with respect to the seat part (2, 22).
  2. Item of reclining furniture according to Claim 1, characterised in that the back part (8) and the seat part (9, 22) comprise a textile sheath stretched over a tubular rigid frame (2, 8), the said sheath being closed on one side by a sliding closure mechanism.
  3. Item of reclining furniture according to one of Claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the elastic joining sleeve (15, 16; 23, 24) is constituted by a tube made from reinforced elastomer, fitted into each of the ends (11, 12, 13, 14) of the tubes of each frame (8, 9; 21, 22) and locked in place by screws (17, 18).
  4. Seat or chair according to Claim 1, characterised in that the support framework (2), on the one hand, has, in its lower part (6), a foot which is articulated (4) to this framework (2) in order to form a stay so as to produce an underframe and, on the other hand, extends at the top in order to surround the frame of the back part (8), the frame of the seat part (9) being articulated at (19, 20) about the articulation pin (3) of the rear foot (4) on the front foot (6) of the framework (2) whilst the lateral branches of the frame of the back part (8) comprise a positioning stud (21, 22) directed towards the outside and intended to cooperate with a catch (23, 24) arranged on the internal face of the lateral branches at the top of the framework (2) in such a way as to position the frame of the back part with respect to the framework frame (9).
  5. Seat or chair according to Claim 4, characterised in that the articulation pin (19, 20) of the seat-part frame (9) on the framework (2, 3) is symmetrical with the positioning stud (21, 22) of the back-part frame (8) with respect to the elastic join (15, 16).
  6. Bed according to Claim 1, characterised in that the support framework takes the form of a U-shaped arch (30) in which the ends of the two branches (31, 32) rest on the ground in order to form a foot, and in that the seat-part frame (220) is articulated at (33, 34) to the front branch of this arch (30) whilst the headrest back-part frame (210) comes into position on the rear branch (35).

Bed according to Claim 6, characterised in that the rear face of the back-part frame (210) comprises a transverse cross-piece (40) articulated at its two ends to an arm (38, 39), which arm is itself articulated to each lateral branch of the back-part frame (210), the said cross-piece (40) being intended to cooperate with stops (36) fixed to the rear branch (35) of the arch in such a way as to adjust the inclination of the back part (210) with respect to the seat part (220).
