Abstract

The invention relates to a folding armchair (1) comprising an underframe (2) composed of two front legs (4) and two rear legs (5) with connecting rods, a tilting backrest (6) hinged to the rear legs (5), a footrest (18) and a seat (21). This folding armchair is characterised in that said seat (21) comprises, on the one hand, its rear part (22) hinged to the base (23) of the backrest (16), and on the other its front extremity (24) connected by lever arms (25) to the footrest (18). This seat (21) is the means by which the movement of the backrest (16) is transmitted to said footrest (18). The invention relates more particularly to the specialist field of the design of folding furniture.
