Abstract

The envelope (1) has a front panel (5) with an upper band (5a) covered by an envelope closing wing (13). The interior of the wing and/or exterior of the band is covered with adhesive (15) to maintain the wing in closed position. The panel is torn along a low resistance precut line (17) for forming another wing (21) to open the envelope, when the former wing is closed and adhered to the panel. An interior surface of the latter wing or an interior surface of a rear panel is printed with text and/or image, such that a message appears only when the latter wing is opened.

Le domaine de l'invention est celui des enveloppes a priori de papier. Il existe des enveloppes, en particulier en ou contenant du papier, qui : - présentent un bord supérieur, un bord inférieur et des premier et second bords latéraux opposés, - et comprennent un panneau frontal recouvrant, dans un état plié de l'enveloppe, deux rabats latéraux, ce panneau frontal présentant une bande supérieure recouverte par un volet de fermeture de l'enveloppe pour son expédition, intérieurement ce volet et/ou extérieurement ladite bande supérieure étant recouvert(s) d'un adhésif pour maintenir fermé le volet. Une fois ces enveloppes fermées par scellement du volet de fermeture, il peut être approprié ou recherché de pouvoir les ouvrir autrement que (uniquement) par descellement de ce volet de fermeture. Pour cela, il est proposé de réaliser au moins une ligne de moindre résistance en travers du panneau frontal, cette ligne s'étendant depuis une zone proche du bord inférieur en direction du volet de fermeture, en permettant alors, par déchirement du panneau frontal le long de cette ligne prédécoupée, alors que le volet est fermé et adhère à ce panneau, de créer un second volet par lequel on peut ouvrir l'enveloppe. Un problème peut se poser vis-à-vis des conditions d'ouverture via ce second volet, en particulier quant à 30 l'aspect de l'enveloppe une fois ouverte. Ainsi, par exemple si on souhaite que l'intérieur de cette enveloppe porte une information destinée à une certaine clientèle exigeante ou un message publicitaire émanant d'un annonceur de même nature, la qualité de cette ouverture peut être déterminante. Aussi a-t-on prévu qu'avantageusement la ligne de moindre résistance formée à travers le panneau frontal se prolonge sous le volet de fermeture, dans l'état de ce volet fermé sur le panneau frontal. On conseille également que la bande d'adhésif prévue pour maintenir scellé ledit volet de fermeture s'étende, en direction des premier et second bords latéraux opposés, au-delà des limites du second volet. La combinaison des caractéristiques des deux derniers paragraphes ci-dessus pourra être utile afin à la fois de garantir au mieux la sécurité de scellement du volet de fermeture et une ouverture propre de l'enveloppe. Suivant la même approche, on propose favorablement que la ligne de moindre résistance présente, à proximité du bord inférieur de l'enveloppe, une partie transversale au panneau frontal s'étendant sur une partie substantielle de la largeur de l'enveloppe, et s'incurve latéralement pour s'orienter en direction du volet de fermeture, par deux prolongements latéraux. Le guidage d'ouverture du second volet s'en trouvera renforcé, en particulier compte tenu de l'orientation des fibres de papier globalement transversale à l'enveloppe et donc parallèle aux dits bords supérieur et inférieur. Toujours en liaison avec cette qualité/netteté d'ouverture via le second volet, ceci sera d'autant plus important si, comme on le prévoit, un texte et/ou une image sont imprimés: - sous le second volet (face intérieure), - et/ou à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe, sur la face intérieure du panneau dorsal de celle-ci situé à l'opposé du panneau frontal.
