Description

The present invention relates to packaging for packaging, storing and preserving manual welding products, particularly wire rods for TIG welding. In manual TIG arc welding under inert gas (Tungsten Inert Gus), a rod of solid or cored wire is used, for example about 1 meter long, which is gradually melted by the arc generated by the manual torch. TIG welding, which is held in the hand by an operator, so as to add additional metal to the molten metal bath 10 forming the solder joint after solidification. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the packaging commonly used for storing, storing and transporting these rods of TIG welding wire is a cardboard tube 1 approximately one meter in length, closed at each of its two ends. by a plastic cap 2 closing off said ends 4 of the tube 1 in which the welding rods are placed. To secure the package, the capsules 2 or plugs are stapled 3 to the tube 1 cardboard. However, this type of packaging is far from ideal because has the following drawbacks: the tube being made of cardboard, it does not effectively protect the welding wire from water and moisture, which can lead to deterioration of the wire if its storage is long or is done in a humid atmosphere, such as an external work site, - the closure of the tube by staples causes difficulties in opening and closing the packaging for the operator and a risk of injury due to the staples that can pass through the tube, and 25 - the maintenance of the capsules is random because, in practice, when an operator lifts the tube vertically, it sometimes happens that the capsule of the bottom gives way under the weight chopsticks that are in the tube, and the contents then spread on the floor. In addition, the cylindrical shape of the tube poses the following problems: the tube is unstable and tends to roll on the flat and unlevelled surfaces. 30 - Welders sometimes wear the package on the shoulder to transport it from one place to another. However, the circular shape involves a shoulder / tube contact zone restricted thereby causing some handling discomfort for the operator. - To be palletized and transported correctly, the tubes must not roll when placed on a pallet. For this, nails 5 are usually planted in the pallet 6, as illustrated in FIG. 2. However, the ends 7 of the nails 5 often protrude under the pallet 6 and can therefore be a source of injury.

A problem is therefore to be able to have a package for packaging, storage and preservation of wire rods for manual TIG welding, not having all or part of the aforementioned drawbacks. A solution according to the invention is a packing package of welding wire rods, formed of an elongate hollow body comprising two ends and constituting a case sized to receive welding wire rods and a removable cap that closes the seal. one end of said body, characterized in that: - the body is closed at its other end by a non-removable bottom and further comprises at least one flat on the outer surface; - the cap is designed and dimensioned to The body, the bottom and the cap are made of a tight material, in particular of plastic material, to be interlocked with said end of the body. Depending on the case, the package of the invention may comprise one or more of the following characteristics: the body is of non-cylindrical shape. - The body has several flats on the outer surface. - The cap is independent of the body or the cap is connected to the body by a hinge. the cap has a length of between 6 and 30 cm, preferably between 10 and 27 cm. the body has a length of between 30 and 120 cm, preferably between 45 and 110 cm. the internal dimension of the cap is slightly greater than the external dimension of the end of the body on which it comes to fit. The body comprises a transport strap. Such packaging packaging of welding wire rods solves the problems and / or disadvantages mentioned above because: - the plastic of the body and the cap protects the welding wire bins from water and ambient humidity, especially when transportation or prolonged storage. - The cap fits on the tube and is therefore maintained, for example by simple clipping or the like. The package is easy to open and close. - The closure system does not require staple, which solves the problem of risk of injury during the opening and closing phases, in particular. the bottom and the body of the tube are integral, preferably formed in one piece, for example by molding. The bottom is therefore no longer likely to give way under the weight of the chopsticks found there. - The flat or flats arranged on the outer surface of the body are intended to prevent the case from rolling. When the body includes several flats, the stacking and palletizing of the case are facilitated. It is no longer necessary to use nails to keep the packaging on a pallet transport for example. - The flattened area widens the shoulder / tube contact area thus improving the comfort of the welder who wears the case on his shoulder, thanks to a better distribution of the load. - The oblong shape, that is to say, elongated body, leads to a better ergonomic gripping since it corresponds to the natural shape of the hand, that is to say, the part between thumb and index. A packaging package of solder rods according to the present invention is illustrated in Figures 3 to 9 appended hereto. This package is formed of an elongated, ie oblong hollow body comprising two ends 10a, 10b. This body 10 constitutes a hollow case which is sized to receive rods of welding wire, that is to say that the rods are stored inside the body 10.

A removable cap or plug 11 closing one end 10a of said body 10, while the latter is closed at its other end 10b, by a bottom 13 not removable, for example body 10 and bottom are formed in one piece preferably by molding or the like. In fact, the cap 11 is designed and dimensioned to snugly connect to said end 10a of the body 10, for example by clipping or the like, to ensure proper closure of the case. In order to ensure a good seal to the assembly, the body 10, the bottom and the cap 11 are formed of a plastic material, for example polymers derived from petroleum, composite materials. It is also possible to use biodegradable materials derived from vegetable matter. Preferably, a recyclable material is selected which meets the requirements of mechanical characteristics. The cap 11 can be independent and removable from the body 10 or, conversely, can be connected thereto, as shown in FIG. 5, by means of a plastic hinge for example around which the cap 11 can pivot in order to release or, as the case may be, to close the opening located at the end 10a of the body 10. As can be seen in FIG. 3, at least one flat portion 12 is arranged on the external surface of the body 10. However, the body preferably has at least two flat faces or flats 12, in particular two opposite faces, in order to facilitate the stacking of several packages on each other, in particular during transport by pallet or storage, as shown in Figure 6. From here, the body 10 can take different different shapes (sections) with one or more flats, as illustrated in Figures 4 and 6. In other words, the package of the invention does not is not circular in shape, that is to say ection completely cylindrical. As shown in Figure 7, to ensure easy handling of the case and increased ease of opening, one chooses a length of the cap greater than a hand width, preferably between 7 and 17 cm. The length of thread that protrudes from the holster when opened is very important. This length, denoted b in FIGS. 7 and 8, must be sufficient to allow the user to easily grasp a wand, but it must not be so large as to prevent the wires from being mishandled: deformation of the wire and more complicated reclosing of the wire. 'case. Preferably, the length b is chosen between 2.5 and 12 cm. Furthermore, to facilitate the individual transport of the case, it may be envisaged to add two partially detachable parts of the case to pass a strap, as shown in Figure 9. The assembly can then be worn slung by the user. The packaging of the invention is particularly suitable for the packaging of welding wire rods. Such trays can be used in the electric arc TIG welding process using a manual welding torch and a welding wire rod resulting from such packaging.
