Description

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of pavilions and lateral stretchers for a motor vehicle comprising a panoramic windshield and for the transfer of these windscreens. pavilions and stretchers to the serial line for assembly on the bodies of the vehicles. Motor vehicles with a panoramic windshield have a roof whose front edge is much farther back than that of normal pavilions. The front edge of the flag of these vehicles is indeed located just in front of the central arch which meets the upper ends of the two middle feet of the vehicle body. Figure 1 is a top view of a roof 1 for a vehicle equipped with a panoramic windshield. The reference 1a designates the front edge of this flag 1 and the two dotted lines 3 designate the position of the central arch on which the flag 1 is to be placed during its assembly. The front edge 1a of the roof 1 is extended forward on both sides by side stretchers 2 which are intended to glue laterally the panoramic windshield. The above assembly comprising the roof 1 and the stretchers 2 is currently prepared outside the main line of assembly. This preparation involves at least the two following manipulations: - output of the container containing the embossed flag, - output of the means of shoeing the whole flag and prepared stretcher. These manipulations are performed on parts of appearance (visible by the customer) which cause many rejects. Indeed, the assembly shown in Figure 1 is due to the projecting length of the two shafts 2 relatively fragile, so difficult to carry. The object of the present invention is to overcome this disadvantage.

This object is achieved, according to the invention, by a method of preparing the pavilions and lateral stretchers for a motor vehicle equipped with a panoramic windshield and transfer of these flags and stretchers to the line of serial production , for mounting on the bodies of vehicles, characterized by the following steps: Separately prepared: - Pavilions adapted for a panoramic windshield, but without stretchers, - sets each comprising a central arch and two stretchers io adapted for a panoramic windshield, and the pavilions and the assemblies thus prepared are transferred directly and separately to the shoe line, for assembly on the bodies of the vehicles. Flats without stretcher prepared and transferred separately are much easier and less cumbersome to handle and transfer than the flats with stretches currently prepared. This considerably limits the risk of scrapping. Likewise, the central hoop assemblies equipped with stretchers which do not constitute appearance parts are easy to transfer.

Preferably, the flags are transferred to the shoe line in containers in which they are supported by columns with lugs. These containers protect the flags during their transfer and are adapted to allow automatic loading of the flags on the line of shoeing. Such containers can not be used to transfer lodges pre-equipped with stretchers due to the risk of rupture existing in the connection area between the front of the roof and the two shafts. Preferably, the assemblies each comprising a central arch and two struts are transferred to the shoe line by means of robots. Indeed, the central hoop and stretcher assemblies not constituting sensitive and delicate parts can be perfectly transferred by robots programmed to allow automatic loading of these sets on the assembly line.

Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent throughout the description hereinafter. In the accompanying drawings, given by way of nonlimiting example: FIG. 2 is a top view of an assembly comprising a central rollbar and two stretchers as implemented in the method according to the invention; FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a support having columns provided with catches for carrying lodges without stretchers; FIG. 4 is a diagrammatic plan view showing a lectern with shafts as shown in FIG. in position in a container on a support such as that shown in Figure 3, - Figure 5 is a view similar to Figure 4, the container containing a flag as used in the present invention.

Ce procédé comprend les étapes suivantes.FIGS. 2, 3 and 5 illustrate the method, according to the invention, of preparing pavilions and lateral stretchers for a motor vehicle equipped with a panoramic windshield and transferring these flags and stretchers to the forging line. in series, for their assembly on the crates of the vehicles. This method comprises the following steps.

Les pavillons 10 ainsi préparés sont transférés vers la ligne de ferrage dans 30 des conteneurs tels que le conteneur 14 représenté sur la figure 5, dans lesquels ils sont supportés par un support 15 comportant (voir figure 3) des colonnes 16 munies de taquets 17.Separate pavilions are prepared separately, such as the horn 10 shown in FIG. 5, adapted for a panoramic windshield, but without stretchers, - assemblies, such as the assembly 11 shown in FIG. each a central arch 12 and two stretchers 13 adapted 25 for a panoramic windshield and is transferred directly and separately the flags such as 10 and the assemblies such as 11 thus prepared to the line of shoeing, for their assembly on the crates cars. The pavilions 10 thus prepared are transferred to the shoe line in containers such as the container 14 shown in FIG. 5, in which they are supported by a support 15 comprising (see FIG. 3) columns 16 provided with stops 17.

The container 14 protects the horn 14 during this transfer. The tabs 17 support the horn 14 in a balanced manner, without risk of damage since the horn 14 does not have a fragile zone. In addition, the container 14 and the support 15 are adapted to allow automatic loading of the flags 10 on the main line of shoeing. Figure 4 shows, however, that containers, such as the container 14 shown in Figure 5, are incompatible for the transport of the flag 1 pre-equipped stretchers 2 as currently prepared. Indeed, firstly, the volume of the container 14a should be increased and Io the four tabs 17 supporting the above set would create rupture zones 18 at the level of the shafts 2 as shown in Figure 4. In addition, the assemblies each comprising a central arch 12 and two stretchers 13 can be transferred to the assembly line by means of robots which can thus automatically place these sets on the crates 15 of the vehicles. These hoop sets pre-equipped with stretchers are not fragile and can be handled without special precautions. Another advantage of the invention lies in the fact that on the shoe line, the position of the horn without stretchers can be adjusted more easily than in the case where the roof is pre-equipped with stretchers. This adjustment is performed by means of pushers acting on the front and rear of the roof in the direction Y, that is to say in the direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Thanks to the invention, it is possible to adjust the flag independently of the whole hoop equipped with stretchers, the position of the hoop being less sensitive because invisible from the outside.
