Abstract
Description
The invention relates to motor vehicles, and more specifically to certain body components that are fitted to certain motor vehicles. Motor vehicles are equipped with front and rear light units that must comply with technical requirements defined by national or international rules. As known to those skilled in the art, some of these technical constraints require that the optical blocks are implanted in predefined areas. As a result, some optical blocks are currently reported on bodywork elements, which poses game problems. In addition, certain optical blocks must be implanted in bodywork elements at locations which are located in the field of view. observation of the driver, and therefore limit his visibility. In order to improve this visibility, and especially that called 3 / a rear, it has recently been proposed, including by the car manufacturer CITROEN, to fix on the structure (or box) of a motor vehicle hatchback (or ragged) rotary signal rear lamps having a transparent central portion and to secure to the liftgate transparent screens at the areas that are intended to be located in front of these rear lights signaling. Thus, the driver can observe, through the rear traffic lights and the transparent screens, a part of the area which is located behind his vehicle. This is certainly advantageous in terms of visibility, but it complicates the assembly of motor vehicles. In addition, certain implementation constraints are likely to limit certain style effects. The object of the invention is to remedy at least part of the aforementioned drawbacks. It proposes for this purpose a bodywork element, for a motor vehicle, comprising at least one area on which is defined a screen having a first transparent portion so as to let the light emitted by a technical assembly of an optical unit ensuring a chosen photometry. The bodywork element according to the invention may comprise other characteristics that may be taken separately or in combination, and in particular: each screen may be defined by molding; each screen may be defined by co-molding or overmolding; at least one zone may comprise a second transparent portion.
In this case, a screen may be molded at this zone on an outer face, at least at its second transparent portion; it may comprise at least one molded screen provided with an inner face on which at least a portion of a technical assembly of optical block providing a chosen photometry is secured; - it can be initially transparent. In this case, the screen can be defined by deposition of at least one coating on an outer face; as a variant, it may comprise at least one zone on which a screen is defined and on an internal face of which at least a portion of a technical assembly of optical block is secured which ensures a photometry chosen in a position allowing the passage of the light emitted through the first transparent part of the screen; in another variant, it may comprise at least one zone on which is defined a screen which is complementary to a technical assembly of optical block (ensuring a chosen photometry) which is fixed on another bodywork element of the motor vehicle in a position allowing the passage of light emitted through the first transparent portion of the screen; at least one zone may comprise a second transparent portion. In this case, the screen is molded at this zone on an external face, at least at its second transparent portion; the zone may comprise an inner face to which at least a portion of an optical block technical assembly is secured, ensuring a photometry chosen in a position permitting the passage of the light emitted through its second transparent part and the first part. transparent complementary molded screen; each optical block may be a rear light; - It can constitute a rear quarter (or rear side panel), a bumper of a motor vehicle, or a tailgate or a tailgate (or hanger) rotatably mounted on the structure of a motor vehicle. Other features and advantages of the invention will appear on examining the detailed description below, and the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 schematically illustrates, in a front view, a part (left) of a first example of a rotary body element (tailgate) of a motor vehicle, according to the invention; - FIG. 2 schematically illustrates, in a sectional view along the axis 11-11 of FIG. 1, the first example of a bodywork element illustrated in FIG. 1; FIG. 3 schematically illustrates, in a front view, a portion (left) of a second example of a fixed body element (bumper) of a motor vehicle, according to the invention, - Figure 4 schematically illustrates, in a sectional view along the axis IV-IV of Figure 3, the second example of bodywork element illustrated in Figure 3, and - Figure 5 schematically illustrates in a sectional view similar to that of the figure 1, a third example of a rotary body element according to the invention. The attached drawings may not only serve to complete the invention, but also contribute to its definition, if any. Reference is first made to FIGS. 1 and 2 to describe a first example of a motor vehicle bodywork element VC, according to the invention. In this first example, the body element VC is a tailgate rotatably mounted on the structure (or box) SV of a motor vehicle. Such VC trunk flap is sometimes called hobby. It usually cooperates with a hatch (or hanger) HA (located above him) to control access to a trunk (or a rear part) of a motor vehicle. It can be placed in rectified (as illustrated) and folded positions in which it prohibits and allows respectively access to the lower part of the trunk (or the rear part). It is important to note that the invention is not limited to this first example of bodywork element. It concerns indeed other fixed or retractable body elements (or rotary), and in particular a PC bumper (as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4), a rear quarter panel (or rear side panel) or a tailgate HA . A body element VC or PC, according to the invention, comprises a main wall delimited by opposing inner faces FI and outer EF and made of a metallic or synthetic or composite material or of glass (this is called ice). This main wall comprises at least one area on which is defined a screen EC having a first portion PT1 which is transparent so as to pass light which is emitted by a technical assembly AND an optical block BO ensuring a selected photometry. Here, the term "technical assembly" is understood to mean a set of means which together provide a chosen photometry, for example a housing (or support) provided with at least one light source DE (lamp (s) or electroluminescent diode (s) ( s)), a possible reflector and / or a possible mask. Each screen EC defines in a way a window allowing the light emitted by the source DE of a technical assembly AND to pass through its first transparent part PT1. Note that it is possible that the EC screen is fully transparent. In this case, its first transparent portion PT1 occupies its entire surface. For example, the main wall comprises two zones each provided with an EC screen dedicated to an optical block BO. In the case of a fixed bodywork element, such as a PC bumper or a quarter panel (or rear side panel), each EC screen can be dedicated to an optical block of any type, and in particular an indicator of direction (or flashing light), a stop light, a fog lamp, a reversing light or a sidelight.
In the case of a rotating or retractable bodywork component, such as a VC trunk flap or HA trunkgate, each EC screen can be dedicated to a type of rear optical block selected from so-called embedded function types, such as a stop light, a position light or a fog lamp.
An EC screen according to the invention may be defined by molding or by deposition of at least one coating on an outer face FE (facing outwards) of the bodywork element VC, PC or HA. When the EC screen is defined by molding, the type of molding depends in particular on the type of material in which the main wall of the body element VC, PC or HA is made. Therefore, it may for example be an overmolding or a co-molding (also called bi-injection molding by successive injections of two different materials or two materials of the same nature but different colors in the same mold).
Note that the molding may possibly allow to extend the body element PC, VC or HA for example in order to provide a possible style effect. Moreover, through the molding of many forms of EC screen can be easily obtained to provide a possible effect of style.
When the EC screen is defined by a deposit, one must start from a body element VC, PC or HA that is initially transparent and that one is coated with one or more materials (so as to make it opaque except in the EC screen area). This solution is particularly well suited to the case where the bodywork element is a PC bumper.
It will be noted that the color of the screen EC depends on the function sought for the corresponding optical block BO. Therefore, its color may be red or amber (or orange) or crystal, for example.
It will also be noted, as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, that an EC screen may optionally comprise two parts P1 and P2 of different colors and / or shapes. As indicated above, each EC screen is dedicated to an optical block BO. This means that it can constitute either a part of an optical block BO or a complementary element of an optical block BO. In the first case (illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 5), the optical block BO consists of a screen EC and a technical assembly ET consisting of means that jointly ensure a chosen photometry, such as a housing (or support ) provided with at least one light source DE (lamp (s) or light-emitting diode (s)), a possible reflector and / or a possible mask. At least part of the technical assembly ET can then be secured either to the inner face FI of the bodywork element VC, PC or HA (as illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4), or to a part of the structure ( or body) or another bodywork element (as shown in Figure 5) which is located next to the complementary EC screen. The EC screen then performs the function of ice and its color therefore depends on the function of the optical block BO which it is part or that it completes and / or the color of the light emitted by its light source.
In the examples illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4, at least one zone of the body element VC or PC comprises a second transparent portion PT2. In this case, the screen EC is molded at this area on the outer face FE, at least at its second transparent portion PT2.
In other words, the bodywork element VC, PC or HA comprises at least one zone where a second transparent portion PT2 is defined, and an EC screen is molded on its outer face FE at least at each second transparent portion. PT2. The first transparent portion PT1 of an EC screen covers at least the surface that is occupied by the corresponding second transparent portion PT2 of the body element VC, PC or HA. It can indeed cover a larger surface, for example to provide a style effect.
When the body member PC, VC or HA is made of a synthetic material or composite, each second transparent portion PT2 can for example be obtained by using locally a lower paint density, or even not depositing any paint.
It is important to note, as shown non-limitatively in FIGS. 1 and 2, that the area occupied by a technical assembly ET on or upstream of the internal face FI of the bodywork element VC, PC or HA can be substantially larger than the area occupied by the corresponding second transparent portion PT2.
In a variant illustrated in FIG. 5, the screen EC is molded so as to constitute an extension of its bodywork element PC. For example, it is possible, for example, to join to an inner face of the molded screen EC (substantially parallel to the inner face FI of the molding zone) at least part of a technical assembly AND of an optical block BO. This securing is done in a position that allows the passage of the light that is emitted by the light source DE of the technical assembly ET, through the first transparent portion of the complementary molded screen EC. However, the technical assembly ET of an optical block BO can also be fixed on another bodywork element than that on which is molded (or defined) the corresponding EC screen. Thus, it is conceivable that an EC screen is molded (or defined) on a VC hobby and the corresponding ET technical assembly is attached to the tailgate HA. The opposite situation is also possible. Similarly, an EC screen can be molded (or defined) on a quarter-window while the corresponding ET technical assembly is attached to the SV structure or body of the motor vehicle. In another variant, it is possible for example to secure to the inner face FI of at least one area of the PC or VC body member at least a portion of a technical assembly AND BO optical block. This securing is done in a position which allows the passage of the light which is emitted by the light source DE of the technical assembly ET, through the first transparent part PT1 of the complementary molded screen EC which prolongs this one. body element PC or VC. In the second case (not shown), the optical block BO consists of a technical set AND and a screen secured to this technical set AND. Furthermore, the optical block BO is preferably secured to a part of the structure (or box) which is located next to the complementary EC screen. The optical block BO already having its own screen (possibly colored) EC screen is a complementary screen that can for example provide a style function and / or a light coloring function. It will be noted that a technical assembly ET may optionally comprise a transparent or recessed portion situated opposite the first transparent portion PT1 of the corresponding EC screen, so as to enable the driver to observe a part of the zone which is behind its motor vehicle, through either the optical block BO (with its EC screen) and the PC, VC or HA body element, or the optical block BO with its EC screen, or the optical block BO, the bodywork element PC, VC or HA and the complementary EC screen. It is also important to note, as illustrated in non-limiting manner in FIGS. 3 and 4, that the bodywork element can, when it is fixed (in the case of a quarter panel or a PC bumper), integrate at least another optical block BO '. In general, a bodywork element according to the invention may comprise at least part of the optical blocks BO and BO '(or even all when it is fixed) of the rear part (or even before) of the motor vehicle. The invention is not limited to the body element embodiments described above, by way of example only, but encompasses all the variants that the person skilled in the art may envisage within the scope of the claims. below.
