Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The present invention relates to the technical field of lighting and/or light signaling. It relates more particularly to a light and/or signaling device for a motor vehicle.

État de la techniqueState of the art

Regulatory standards require each motor vehicle to be fitted with luminous devices in order to warn other road users of the driver's presence and intentions. Mention may be made in particular of the position lights of red color and of moderate intensity located at the rear of the vehicle to signal its position and the stop lights also of red color, but of higher intensity to signal braking.

These luminous devices comprise reflective surfaces making it possible to direct outwardly and in a desired direction, the light beam emitted by a light source. Metal surfaces are preferred because of their high reflection coefficient, such as chrome or aluminum. These metallic surfaces are characterized by a light color in daylight, which can cause an undesired contrast with the body color. This is particularly the case when the bodywork is dark in color, modifying locally and in a pronounced manner the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle.

The document FR3025286A1 also describes a luminous device for a motor vehicle, comprising a light source, a reflecting surface and a colored surface arranged opposite the reflecting surface. The light source is arranged on the colored surface so that the light source is apparent in the light device, directly visible to an observer of said light device. The apparent presence of the light source in the light device then breaks the colorimetric homogeneity of the light device visible to an observer.

The present invention aims to solve this problem by proposing a lighting device whose interior, in daylight, has a more homogeneous appearance compared to current lighting devices.

OBJET DE L'INVENTIONOBJECT OF THE INVENTION

Afin de remédier à l'inconvénient précité de l'état de la technique, la présente invention propose un dispositif lumineux pour véhicule automobile selon la revendication 1.In order to remedy the aforementioned drawback of the state of the art, the present invention proposes a luminous device for a motor vehicle according to claim 1.

The invention is remarkable in that the light source is flush with or is slightly set back from the colored surface, so that the light source is not directly visible to an observer of the light device. The luminous device thus offers a visual impression of a cavity of homogeneous color, with no element likely to harm this impression.

The invention thus proposes to place opposite the reflecting surface a surface of different color, so as to modify in a desired manner the tint of at least part of the reflecting surface, visible by an observer of the luminous device. . Thus, advantageously, the colored surface makes it easy to modify the tint of the reflective surface without it being necessary for this to carry out complex and costly treatments of the reflective surface. The presence of the colored surface advantageously makes it possible to modify the tint of the reflecting surface, so that in daylight the interior of the luminous device is of a chosen and homogeneous or substantially homogeneous color. For example, the color surface can be chosen from so that the color of the reflective surface is close to or substantially the same as the bodywork of a motor vehicle comprising said light device.

The reflective surface comprises at least one proximal part of concave shape and facing the light source, in order to make it possible to direct the light beam emitted by the light source towards the outside of the light device. By the term "proximal" is meant a portion of the reflective surface close to the light source. The concave shape of the proximal part makes it possible to restrict the depth of the light device, for the same optical path of the light beam in said device. The term "depth" means a direction substantially parallel to the exit direction of the light beam from the light device.

According to a variant embodiment of the invention, the colored surface is substantially parallel to the exit direction of the light beam from the light device. This embodiment makes it possible to restrict the size of the light device along a direction that is substantially normal to the light beam and to the color surface.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the reflective surface comprises at least one distal part substantially parallel to the colored surface. This embodiment also makes it possible to restrict the size of the light device in a direction substantially normal to the light beam and to the reflecting surface.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the distal part of the reflective surface is set back from the colored surface.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the distal part of the reflective surface faces at least part of the colored surface.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, at least part of the colored surface is opposite the proximal part of the reflective surface. In other words, the present invention favors the fact that the color surface is opposite the largest possible surface of the reflective layer.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the reflective surface has part of its surface recessed from its proximal part. This embodiment is intended to favor a greater opening angle of the light beam emerging from the light device.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the light source is arranged so that its light beam is substantially normal to the colored surface, before reflection on the proximal part of the reflecting surface.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the reflective surface and/or the colored surface is at least partially grained. By the term “grained”, is meant the presence of elements on the surface and/or at the level of said surfaces, favoring a greater diffusion of light.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the colored surface is dark in color, for example black or black in tint. Of course, the invention is not limited to this single example of color, so that the color surface could be light in color, such as red, yellow or amber.

Alternatively, the color surface may include several distinctive colors so as to form a desired visual impression at the reflective surface.

According to another alternative embodiment of the invention, the light source is chosen so as to indicate to other road users the braking and/or the position of a motor vehicle equipped with said light device.

Of course, the different characteristics, variants and embodiments mentioned above can be associated with each other in various combinations, insofar as they are not incompatible or exclusive of each other.

The invention also relates to a traffic light comprising a light device described above, and also to a motor vehicle comprising at least one such traffic light.

DESCRIPTION DÉTAILLÉE D'UN EXEMPLE DE RÉALISATIONDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AN EXAMPLE OF REALIZATION

As a reminder, the invention proposes a light device whose interior, in daylight, is of homogeneous color and chosen with respect to current lighting devices.

There figure 1 illustrates a non-limiting embodiment of a light device 2 according to the invention. According to this embodiment, the light device 2 comprises a light source 4 held on a plate 6. The light source 4 is arranged so that its light beam 8 is substantially parallel to the plate. Plate 6 also serves as a support for an optical box 10 comprising an upper element 12 and a lower element 14. It should be noted that the terms “upper” and “lower” are chosen arbitrarily, and therefore do not limit the mode embodiment described here.

The upper element 12 of the optical unit 10 is held to the plate 6 via an appendage 16A and known means. The upper element 12 comprises a proximal part 18A, arranged opposite the light source 4, and a distal part 20A extending as far as an opening 22 of said casing. The proximal part 18A is covered with a reflective layer 24, at the level of an internal face 26A facing the lower element 14 of the optical box. The reflective layer 24 thus forms a reflective surface on which the light beam 8 emitted by the light source is reflected in the direction of the opening 22. According to the present example, the internal face 26A of the proximal part 18A is of concave shape.

Advantageously, the plate 6 includes a hole 28 to allow the passage of one end of the proximal part 18A, in order to facilitate the positioning of the center of curvature of the internal face 26A at the level of the light source 4. The presence of the hole 28 in the plate 6 makes it possible in particular to restrict the depth of the light device. According to the present example, the depth is understood as a dimension substantially parallel to the direction of the light beam 8 emerging from the light device.

Selon le présent exemple, la couche réfléchissante 24 est un dépôt métallique de type chrome ou aluminium, formant une surface réfléchissante au niveau de la face interne 26A de l'élément supérieur 12.The upper element 12 of the light device has a shoulder 30 so that its internal face 26A, at its distal part 20A, is recessed with respect to its proximal part 18A. According to the present example, the shoulder 30 delimits the proximal part 18A from the distal part 20A of the upper element 12. Thus, the height of the luminous device 2 can be adapted independently of the dimension of its proximal part 18A. The term "height" means a dimension substantially normal to the depth of the light device, passing through the upper element 12 and the lower element 14. The height of the light device can then be advantageously chosen independently of the function of illumination of the device itself, in order to offer embodiments likely to meet different expectations, in particular aesthetic considerations. The distal part 20A is also covered at its internal face 26A by a reflective layer 24. According to the present example, the reflective layer 24 is a metal deposit of the chromium or aluminum type, forming a reflective surface at the level of the internal face 26A of the upper element 12.

The lower element 14 of the optical box 10 is also held to the plate 6, via an appendix 16B and known means. The lower element 14 of the optical box comprises a proximal part 18B, arranged as its name indicates near the light source 4, and a distal part 20B extending as far as the opening 22 delimited by the element upper 12 and the lower element 14 of the optical box 10. It should be noted that on the figures 1 and 2 , the opening 22 is closed off by a lens 32 without this limiting the invention. There internal face 26B of the lower element 14, located vis-à-vis the upper element 12, has a flat or substantially flat surface. The internal face 26B is covered with a colored layer 34, so as to present a different colored surface with respect to the reflective layer 24. According to the present example, the colored surface 34 is dark or black in color. The inner face 26B is parallel or substantially parallel to the exit direction of the light beam 8 from the light device, so as to face the reflective layer 24. Preferably, the lower element 14 is arranged so that the light source flush with or slightly set back from the colored surface 34, so as not to be visible to an observer of the light device 2.

As illustrated by the picture 2 , day when the light device is off, the color layer 34 is illuminated by daylight 36, its color is then reflected on the reflective layer 24 or reflective surface. It should be noted that the observer can also see the colored surface through the intermediary of the reflective layer 24, in particular at the level of the proximal part 18A of the upper element 12. Therefore, an observer looking at the daytime l inside the luminous device 2 through the opening 22, perceives a color of relatively uniform tint at the level of the internal faces 26A, 26B of the upper element and of the lower element. The invention therefore makes it possible to easily and economically modify the tint of the reflective surface of the upper element 12, without it being necessary for this to carry out complicated and costly treatments at the level of the reflective layer 24. Otherwise In other words, the color layer 34 or color surface easily makes it possible to modify the appearance of the tint of the interior of the optical box 10, when the luminous device is switched off.

The invention is not limited to this single embodiment so that the following variants can be reproduced, in isolation or else combined together, to produce new embodiments.

According to a variant, the reflective layer 24 can be treated in such a way as to promote greater diffusion of the light in order to provide a luminous device with a more homogeneous tint. As a non-limiting example, the reflective surface can be grained.

According to another variant, the hue of the colored surface 34 can be close to or similar to that of the beam of light emitted by the light source 4.

According to another variant, the colored surface 34 can include several different shades in order to form a more or less complex pattern. By way of non-limiting example, the tint of the color surface can vary progressively in the direction of the depth of the optical housing.
