Abstract

The invention proposes an opening (10) of a motor vehicle which is articulated relative to the passenger compartment of the vehicle about an axis, which comprises a glazed panel (12) made of a transparent material, which extends in a generally vertical transverse plane, which comprises one or more accessories (14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28) which are carried by the glazed panel (12), and which are positioned and fixed with respect to a face internal front of the glazed panel (12), andin which the glazed panel (12) carries means for fixing the accessories (14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28) with respect to the internal face of the panel vitreous (12), characterized in that the fastening means (30) of the accessories (14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28) relative to the inner face (12i) of the glazed panel (12) are made integrally with the glazed panel (12).

Description

"Opening comprising means for attaching accessories

  The invention provides an opening of a motor vehicle comprising a glazed panel which carries various accessories, and means for positioning and fixing accessories on the glass panel.

  The invention more particularly proposes an opening of a motor vehicle, which closes an opening of the rear part of the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and which is articulated relative to the passenger compartment of the vehicle around an axis, of the type which comprises a glazed panel made of a transparent material, which extends in a generally vertical transverse plane, so as to cover all or part of the opening of the passenger compartment, of the type which has several accessories which are carried by the panel glazed, and which are positioned and fixed relative to an inner front panel of the glazed panel, and of the type in which the glass panel carries means for fixing the accessories relative to the inner face of the glazed panel.

  Current car styling trends have favored the rear doors, for which the glass panel allowing the driver to see behind the vehicle extends over the entire opening of the passenger compartment.

  The opening then has no structural element to carry the various accessories that are mounted on the opening, such as the wiper mechanism of the outer face of the glass panel or the hinge means of the opening by relative to the vehicle's body. It is then the glass panel which has the additional function of supporting these different accessories.

  According to a known embodiment, the glass panel is made of glass, and the accessories are mounted on the glass panel independently of each other by gluing or screwing. Fastening means, although being widespread and of good quality, require a particularly long time for the attachment of a single accessory, and they sometimes involve a random positioning of the accessory.

  In addition, the attachment of accessories on a glass panel which is made of glass generally involves forming several orifices through the glass panel, which are traversed by attachment means accessories.

  These fastening means are then visible from outside the vehicle which affects its overall appearance.

  EP-A-0.044.649 discloses such a rear opening for which the glazed panel carries means for its articulation relative to the vehicle body and a wiper mechanism. The glass panel also carries a metal reinforcing element which is interposed between the glass panel and some accessories, to withstand a major part of the forces suffered by the opening.

  The glass panel has various holes for fixing the accessories and the metal element. These orifices are traversed either by hinge pins of certain accessories or by screws for fixing other accessories.

  Thus, according to this document, the various accessories are mounted either directly on the glass panel, through screws through complementary holes of the glass panel, or indirectly through the metal element which is itself attached to the panel glazed through screws and holes in the glass panel.

  Due to the presence of the metal element, some attachment means accessories are not visible from outside the vehicle. However, the means for fixing the metal element are effectively visible from outside the vehicle.

  The invention aims to provide an opening of a motor vehicle, for which none of the attachment means of the accessories on the glass panel through openings in the glass panel.

  For this purpose, the invention provides an opening of the type described above, characterized in that at least a portion of the attachment means of the accessories relative to the inner face of the glass panel are made integrally with the glazed panel.

  In the following description, identical, similar or similar elements will be designated by the same reference numerals.

  There is shown in Figure 1 a rear door 10 of a motor vehicle (not shown). The opening 10 is arranged in the rear part of the vehicle, and it closes a complementary opening of the vehicle body.

  The opening 10 is hinged relative to the vehicle body around a generally transverse axis A between a closed position and an open position allowing access to the interior of the vehicle through the opening.

  The opening 10 comprises a glazed panel 12 which extends in a generally vertical transverse plane, and which is made of a transparent material, to allow the driver to have a view of what is located behind the vehicle.

  The opening 10 is an opening of the type which does not include a support frame ensuring the rigidity of the opening. Thus, only the glazed panel ensures the rigidity of the opening by its structure.

  The opening 10 also includes several accessories which are carried by the glazed panel 12, which here consist of a third brake light 14, a wiper mechanism 16 of the outer transverse vertical face 12 of the glazing panel 12, and additional lights, such as a rear fog lamp 18 and a reversing rear lamp 20.

  The opening 10 is hinged relative to the vehicle body around a transverse axis A arranged near the transverse upper end edge 12s of the glazing panel 12 by means of hinge 22, which is shown in Figure 5, and it is held in the closed position by the keeper 26 of a lock (not shown) carried by the vehicle body.

  Of course, the invention also applies to other types of opening in which for example the opening is made with respect to a vertical axis arranged on one side of the glass panel.

  To make the movement of the opening 10 to its open position, easier for the user, it includes cylinders 28, of a conventional type, a first end 28a is connected to the vehicle body, and whose second end is connected to the opening 10.

  Finally, the opening comprises a peripheral sealing gasket 24 which is able to be compressed between the glazing panel 12 and the vehicle body when the door is in the closed position, in order to ensure a tight closure of the opening. rear of the vehicle body.

  The various accessories 14 to 28, are carried by the glazed panel 12, and they are positioned and fixed on the transverse vertical internal face 12i of the glazed panel by means of positioning and fixing means, which will be called by the following means of fixation.

  According to the invention, the means for attaching the accessories are all made in one piece by molding with the glazed panel.

  The glazed panel 12 is made of a material that is moldable to allow the obtaining of complex shapes, and is transparent, to ensure good visibility for the driver.

  For this purpose, the glazed panel 12 is made of a transparent plastic material and according to one embodiment, the glazed panel 12 is made of polycarbonate.

  The fastening means are thus raised shapes which protrude longitudinally forwardly with respect to the internal face 12i of the glazed panel 12.

  None of the fastening means therefore requires an orifice through the glazed panel 12, they do not protrude from the outer face 12 of the glazed panel, which ensures a pleasant aesthetic of the opening 10.

  In addition, since the fixing means are made by plastic molding, it is possible to give them a shape for fixing the associated accessory, without having to change the general shape of the glass panel 12, which remains flat.

  The fastening means may then have any shape that can be made by molding, such as longitudinal fastening tabs, or fastening plates that receive fastening screws or associated accessories.

  Finally, the fastening means are made so as to achieve the vertical and transverse positioning of the associated accessory on the inner face 12i of the glazed panel 12, and the angular positioning around a median longitudinal axis of the accessory.

  FIGS. 2 and 3 show exemplary embodiments of the fastening means according to the first aspect of the invention.

  According to a first embodiment of the attachment means of an accessory, here the third brake light 14, as shown in Figure 2, these comprise a plurality of longitudinal tabs 30, which extend longitudinally towards the front from the inner face 12i of the glazed panel 12.

  The longitudinal tabs 30 comprise at their free longitudinal end 30a means for fixing the associated accessory. - Here, the free end 30a of the tabs is in the form of a curved hook to the other tabs or vis-à-vis, and the tabs are able to fade by elastic deformation, to allow the introduction and fixation of the accessory.

  The longitudinal tabs 30 are distributed around the accessory to achieve transverse and vertical positioning. Fixing of the accessory is carried out by the free ends 30a of the tabs 30 which immobilize the accessory in longitudinal stop towards the rear against the internal face 12i of the glazed panel 12.

  According to an alternative embodiment not shown, the accessory is positioned angularly about its median longitudinal axis by a shape projecting forwardly with respect to the inner face 12i of the glazed panel, such as for example a longitudinal positioning finger.

  FIG. 3 shows the means for fixing the lamps 18 or 20. Here again, the fastening means comprise several longitudinal tabs 30 whose free longitudinal end is in the form of a hook.

  The light 18, 20 comprises a plate 32 which cooperates with the tabs 30 for fixing the light 18, 20 on the inner face 12i of the glass panel 12, and a light source 34, here an incandescent bulb, for generating the flux luminous.

  A known advantage of polycarbonate, or any other plastic material having the same optical and mechanical properties, is that a part made from such a material can be used as an optical part, in the manner of a lens, to redirect at least in part the luminous flux produced by the light source 34 of the rear signaling light 18, 20.

  Thus, according to another aspect of the invention shown in FIG. 3, the optical element of each rear signaling light 18, 20 is formed by a portion 36 called the optical portion of the glazed panel 12.

  This optical portion 36 is located vis-à-vis the light source 34 of the lamp 18, 20 associated, along the optical axis B of the lamp 18, 20.

  To form the optical element, the inner surface 36i and / or the outer surface 36e of the optical portion 36 is molded to redirect at least part of the light flux generated by the light source 34.

  Thus, by way of nonlimiting example, the inner surface 36i and the outer surface 36e of the optical portion 36 each comprise steps in the form of a Fresnel lens. In addition, the inner surface 36i of the optical portion is convex.

  As mentioned above, since the glazed panel 12 is made of polycarbonate, it is possible to give it any form that can be made by molding.

  FIG. 4 shows another variant embodiment of the glazed panel 12, which comprises a housing 38, arranged at the level of the lower transverse edge 12b of the glazed panel 12, which is adapted to receive the wiper blade 40 of the window mechanism. wiping 16 when in an extreme rest position.

  When the blade 40 is received inside the housing 38, it is protected from various attacks that can come from outside, including shocks, which extends its life.

  For this, the bottom 42 of the housing is located longitudinally recessed forwards with respect to the outer face 12 of the glazed panel, so that the blade 40 is itself recessed forwards with respect to its other positions of scanning the outer face 12e of the glass panel 12. io

  In addition, the housing 38 has a protective partition 44 which extends vis-à-vis the bottom 42 of the housing 40 and behind the latter. The partition 44 makes it possible, on the one hand, to protect the blade 40 from possible shocks or projections, and it makes it possible to protect the blade from ultraviolet radiation, when one of its inner 44i or outer 44e walls is covered with a specific coating. .

  The wiper blade 50 of the wiper 40 is a decisive element for obtaining a good quality wiping. It is particularly desirable that the service life of the wiper blade 50 is as long as possible, to prevent the owner of the vehicle from replacing the wiper blade 40 too frequently.

  To further increase the life of the wiper blade 50, the housing 38 has ribs 46, 48, which extend longitudinally rearwardly from the bottom 42 of the housing 38, and the blade 40 rests against the rear longitudinal end 46a, 48a of each rib 46, 48.

  In addition, the distance between the rear longitudinal end 46a, 48a of each rib 46, 48 and the bottom 42 of the housing 38 is determined so as to keep the blade 40 away from the bottom 42 of the housing 38. Thus, the free edge 50a of the wiper blade 50 is kept away from the bottom 42 of the housing 38.

  The rib 46 which is located closest to the lower edge 12b of the glazed panel 12 further enables the blade 40 to be guided during its movement from or towards its rest position shown in FIG. 4.

  FIGS. 5 and 6 show another aspect of the invention according to which the opening comprises a support cradle 52 to which all the accessories are fixed.

  According to this other aspect of the invention, the glazed panel also comprises fixing means (not shown) which are made integrally by molding, and these fixing means are used to fix the frame 52 on the inner face 12i of the glazed panel 12.

  The fixing means of the frame 52 on the inner face 12i of the glazed panel 12 have a conventional structure. Thus, by way of nonlimiting example, the fixing means consist of elastic hooks which are received in complementary housing of the frame 52, or vice versa, in transverse plates which receive fastening screws, which extend forward. of the glazed panel 12.

  According to another embodiment, the frame 52 is overmolded on the internal face 12i of the glazed panel 12, or the glazed panel 12 is overmolded around the frame 52. Indeed, these two elements being made of materials suitable for molding, it is easy to overmould one around the other.

  The frame 52 comprises a rear armature 54, which extends parallel to the glass panel, so that its rear vertical transverse face is in contact with the inner face of the glass panel.

  The frame 54 carries all the accessories. For this purpose, it comprises several arrangements for supporting the accessories.

  The frame 52 also comprises a covering element 56, which extends in front of the frame 54, and which covers the frame 54 and the accessories. The covering element makes it possible to protect the accessories from external aggressions, to avoid the contact of persons with the accessories, thus avoiding any risk of injury, and also, the covering element makes it possible to have a pleasant aesthetic of frame.

  Thus, the assembly formed by the frame 52 and the accessories mounted on the frame 54 is in the form of an accessory module which only needs to be fixed to the glazed panel, this makes it possible to simplify the assembly of the opening 10, and thus reduce the time and cost of its manufacture.

  Since the attachment means of the accessories or the frame 52 are made integrally on the inner face 12i of the glazed panel 12, the outer face 12 of the glazing panel 12 remains homogeneous and generally smooth. However, since the fastening means and the glazing panel are made of a transparent material, it is possible to see them through the glass panel, which is particularly harmful to the aesthetics of the vehicle.

  Therefore, according to another embodiment of the intention, the outer face 12 and / or the inner face 12 of the glazed panel 12 is covered with an opaque coating layer which hides the accessories and their means of attachment to the panel glazed 12.

  This layer of opaque coating extends along the peripheral edge of the glass panel, so as not to hinder the driver's vision.

  The accessories have been described as being all attached to the glazing panel 12 either directly to the fixing means or indirectly via the frame 52.

  However, it will be understood that the invention is not limited to these embodiments, and that some accessories can be directly attached to the glass panel 12 by means of the fastening means according to the invention, or indirectly by intermediate of a frame 52 which is itself attached to the glazed panel through the fastening means according to the invention.

  In addition, some accessories can also be directly made from material with the glass panel. Such accessories may thus consist of a handle for maneuvering the glass panel, or else an aerodynamic deflector.
