The present invention relates to a pivoting mast, which can support in particular public lighting projectors or other devices (antennas, electrical or optical devices, flags, panels, cameras, etc.).
The existing rocking mast systems comprise a lower part fixed to the ground and connected to an upper part by means of a pivoting and / or articulation system to allow the tilting of this upper part of the mast close to the ground, making available the possible devices that it supports. Tilting masts are usually intended to allow greater ease of maintenance, for example when replacing lamps. The use of tilting masts is particularly well suited in places where the nacelles can not access (station platforms, external spaces of commercial buildings, galleries of shopping centers). The existing tilting or pivoting mast systems therefore generally use articulation means connecting the lower and upper parts of the mast and pivoting means allowing the pivotal movement between the two parts of the mast around a pivot axis, the upper part of the mast can thus switch between a straight position aligned with the lower part and a position inclined relative to the lower part. Locking means of the two parts of the mast in aligned straight position also prevent the relative inclination movement of the two parts of the mast. Mast locking or retaining means in inclined position can also be provided. The major drawback of this type of tilting pole of the prior art lies in the fact that most of the components involved in the inclination of the mast, such as articulation, pivoting, locking, or blocking means or else their means of assembly reciprocal and with the mast, are visible and accessible outside the mast. In addition to the unsightly appearance that these components may present, nothing prevents an unauthorized person or malicious intent to degrade or vandalize these components placed outside the mast or passing around it. These components protruding from the mast are also likely to be destroyed or damaged by inclement weather or possible shocks that may occur against the mast. There is therefore a risk of accidental tipping or unhitching between the two lower and upper parts of the mast. Without regular checks and inspections of their condition, such masts would therefore be a potential public hazard. Documents FR 2 684 127, FR 2 540 168, EP 0 205 955 and GB 2 239 463 describe devices of this type. The present invention therefore aims to prevent and remedy these disadvantages by providing a pivoting mast both resistant and safe. Another object of the present invention is to provide a pivoting mast which makes it easier to maintain and / or to reduce its maintenance cost. The present invention also aims to provide a pivoting mast 15 whose technical aspects of the pivot system do not compromise the aesthetic appearance of the mast. The present invention also aims to provide a pivoting mast, inexpensive to manufacture and assemble, thanks to a pivot system that easily adapts to existing masts and does not require major modifications of these masts. The present invention therefore relates to a pivoting mast comprising at least a fixed lower part, at least a movable upper part and a pivoting system cooperating with said lower and upper parts, for moving an upper part of the mast between a straight position, substantially aligned with the lower part, and a position inclined relative to the lower part, the pivoting system being disposed entirely within said mast in the upright position. Advantageously, the mast further comprises masking means of the pivoting system, said masking means being movable and / or deformable. Advantageously, said masking means comprise at least one outer ring sliding around the mast, said ring sliding between a masking position, masking the pivoting system in the upright position of the mast, and a demasking position, unmasking the pivoting system, for allow pivoting of the mast in an inclined position.
Advantageously, the mast comprises means for adjusting the alignment between said two parts of the mast in the upright position. Advantageously, said adjustment means comprise an inner tube, having a lower end firmly fitted into said lower part of the mast. Advantageously, said mast comprises a hinge comprising a lower element, fixed to the lower part, and an upper element, fixed to the upper part, said lower and upper elements being pivotally mounted relative to each other around a pivot axis. Advantageously, said pivoting system comprises an assistance system, such as a jack. Advantageously, said jack comprises a lower end, connected to the lower part of the mast and an upper end connected to the upper part of the mast. Advantageously, the mast further comprises locking means 20 of the upper portion in the upright position aligned with the lower portion. Advantageously, the lower portion has a first periphery portion of the mast and the upper portion has a second periphery portion of the mast, said first and second periphery portions cooperating in alignment in the straight position of the mast to form a closed mast. Advantageously, said mast is a mast of a public lighting device, such as a street lamp. Other advantages and features of the invention will emerge more clearly in the following detailed description of an advantageous embodiment of the invention given, with reference to the accompanying drawings, given by way of non-limiting examples, on which: - Figure 1 and Figure 2 are schematic side views of a pivoting mast of the invention, respectively in the upright and inclined position, - Figure 3 is a schematic perspective view of a pivoting mast of the FIG. 4 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the mast of FIG. 3, and FIGS. 5 and 6 are views similar respectively to FIGS. 3 and 4 in an inclined position of the mast. The mast shown in the figures comprises a lower part 1 fixed to the ground and an upper part 2 on which is mounted any device (such as a lighting unit in the case of a street lamp). The upper part 2 is pivotally mounted relative to the lower part 1 around a horizontal pivot axis 30 (visible in FIGS. 4 and 6) by means of a pivoting system 3. The pivoting system 3 cooperates with the lower part 1 and the upper part 2, to move the upper part of the mast between a straight position, substantially aligned with the lower part, shown in Figure 1, and a position inclined relative to the lower part, shown on the 20 According to the invention, the pivoting system is placed entirely inside the mast when the mast is in the upright position. The lower part 1 of the mast comprises an upper end cooperating with the pivoting system 3 and a lower end fixed to the ground, for example by means of a lower base 14. The upper part 2 of the mast as shown in the figures comprises a lower end cooperating with the pivoting system 3, and an upper end capable of supporting any device. The lower end of the upper part may be in the form of a head 22 extended towards the top of a sleeve 23 which sleeves and fixedly grips the end of an arm 24 of varying length, the end of which opposite is the upper end of the mast. Of course, this configuration of the upper part of the mast is only one possible example among others and the upper part could for example be simply composed of a single profiled part. The two parts of the mast 1 and 2 are preferably of hollow circular cross-section in the embodiment shown, but other cross-sections are obviously possible: octagonal, square, etc. The shapes and the sectional dimensions of the two parts are preferably substantially the same at their junction, so that in aligned position, the mast has a continuous homogeneous and aesthetic appearance at this level. The material constituting the mast can be of any type, adapted to the use of the mast. For example, it can be realized in the form of extruded aluminum profiles. The pivoting system 3 of the mast according to the invention can comprise a hinge 31 and an assistance system, such as a jack 32. The hinge 31 can be of any type, shape and material, well known to man. of career. For example, the hinge can be made of machined aluminum plate. In the embodiment shown in Figures 4 and 6, the hinge 31 comprises a lower member 311, attached to the lower part 1 of the mast, at the upper end thereof, and an upper member 312, fixed at the upper part 2 of the mast, at the lower end thereof. The hinge elements 311 and 312 are connected by an axle pin 30 around which they articulate. The lower 1 and upper 2 parts are therefore pivotally mounted relative to each other about the pivot axis 30, corresponding to the pin connecting the two elements 311, 312 of the hinge 31. The actuator 32, as shown in Figures 4 and 6, includes a lower end 321, connected to the inside of the lower part 1 of the mast and an upper end 322 connected to the inside of the upper part 2 of the mast. The cylinder is articulated by its lower end 321 on the lower part of the mast about a pivot axis 323 and by its upper end 322 on the upper part of the mast about a pivot axis or ball joint 324. The cylinder allows to adjust the inclination of the upper part of the mast, in particular between two extreme positions, in one of which this upper part 2 is erected vertically (Figures 3 and 4), and in the other of which it can extend to the contrary approximately horizontally (Figures 5 and 6). The jack 32 can be of any known type (hydraulic, pneumatic, ...), and can be replaced or supported by all types of spring. The gas springs in particular, allow movements and safe positions of the upper part of the mast, it can be pushed in a guided manner, raised and lowered, for example to help a remote control. The jack according to the invention can be advantageously lockable in both directions. For this, the pivoting system according to the invention, and in particular the jack, may comprise locking means, such as a hydraulic blocker, to allow stopping the stroke of the upper part of the mast in any what position desired. Preferably, the pivoting system 3, and in particular the jack 32, may also comprise damping means, for braking the mass and damping the speed of the upper part of the pivoting mast, so that there is neither shock, neither ricochet, nor jerk. Preferably, the cylinder acts as a brake on descent to its rotated position, and assists the mast in its ascent to its upright position. Advantageously, the pivoting pivoting mast system according to a preferred embodiment of the invention uses a lockable compression spring or a lockable gas spring. According to the application of the invention, several cylinders could of course be used instead of one, or cylinders reduced size being particularly advantageous for the pivoting mast of the invention. Indeed, the pivoting system of the mast according to the invention is disposed entirely within the mast in the upright position. In this position, the pivoting system is therefore inaccessible from the outside, as can be seen in the profile views of the mast of FIGS. 1 and 3 and in the sectional view of FIG.
Indeed, as shown in Figure 4, the pivoting mast according to the invention comprises a hollow internal space sufficient to be able to contain all the constituent elements (including the hinge 31 and the cylinder 32) of the pivot system 3 in the right position of the mast. This internal space is substantially closed in the upright position of the mast, while it is substantially open in the inclined position of the mast to allow the pivoting system to articulate and / or deploy partially or totally outside the mast. mast in inclined position of the mast (Figures 2, 5, and 6). Advantageously, and as visible in FIG. 6, the lower part of the mast comprises a first periphery part of the mast and the upper part of the mast has a second periphery portion of the mast, the latter extending the sleeve towards the bottom). The mast according to the invention is thus partially cut along its length at the junction between the lower and upper parts. Said first and second periphery portions 12 and 21 mutually cooperate in alignment in the upright position of the mast so as to form a substantially closed mast. When tilting the upper portion 2 of the mast, the second periphery portion 21 of the mast is disjoint from the first periphery portion 12, leaving a longitudinal open passage at the lower portion of the mast opposite the first periphery portion 12. This passage allows the cylinder to extend laterally at least partially outside the mast. Conversely, in the upright position of the upper part of the mast, the second periphery portion 21 of the mast is aligned longitudinally and laterally with the first periphery portion 12 of the lower portion 1 of the mast, thereby forming a closed internal space , inside which the cylinder is folded, concealed and inaccessible. Advantageously, the pivoting mast according to the invention may comprise means 4 for adjusting the alignment between said two parts 1, 2 of the mast in the upright position, and in particular adjusting the alignment between the two periphery parts. 12 and 21. Advantageously, and as shown in the figures, said adjustment means 4 comprise an inner tube 4. This inner tube 4 comprises a lower section 41 fitted firmly into said lower part 1 of the mast. The tube also comprises an intermediate section 40 and an upper section 42 which are partially (partially) covered by only the periphery portion 12 in an inclined position of the mast. In the upright position of the mast, said intermediate and upper sections 40 and 42 are also covered with the second periphery portion 21, the two periphery portions 12 and 21 aligning with each other around this inner tube and covering it over its entire periphery. . This inner tube 4 can be attached to the lower part of the mast, for example in a suitable inscribed cylinder, or made in one piece with the lower part of the mast. It can also participate in fixing the lower portion 311 of the hinge 31 and / or in fixing the lower end 321 of the jack 32. This inner tube can at least partially contain the jack in the closed position of the mast, as shown in FIG. This is the case in the embodiment shown in FIG. 4. An opening 400 must of course be provided in the wall of the tube to allow the jack to extend laterally outside the mast in the inclined / open position of the tube. mast. Another opening may also be provided on the periphery of the mast, located at the hinge, so as to leave sufficient space 210 to allow articulation between the two parts of the mast during its inclination. Any possible opening of this type revealing at least part of the pivoting system (the hinge 31 in this case) can be advantageously hidden by masking means 33. Indeed, the pivoting mast according to the invention can comprise masking means 33 of the pivoting system, these masking means being movable and / or deformable during the inclination of the mast. As shown in the figures, these masking means 30 may comprise an outer ring 33 sliding around the mast. This ring 33 slides between a masking position, masking the pivoting system in the right position of the mast (Figures 3 and 4) and a unmasking position, unmasking the pivot system in the inclined position of the mast (Figures 5 and 6). Alternatively, the pivot axis may not be hidden, and therefore be visible, it being understood that the assistance means, such as the cylinder is invisible in the upright position of the mast.
Advantageously, the pivoting mast according to the invention may comprise locking means 5 of the upper part in the upright position aligned with the lower part. These locking means 5 may be of any type, in particular clips, clamping screws or locking screws such as those shown in FIG. 4 under the reference 51. These locking means in the upright position cooperate here with or between the upper and lower parts of the mast (through the inner tube 4 in this embodiment), but they could of course also cooperate with the cylinder, the hinge, or any other element of the pivoting mast according to the invention, so to block any tilting or pivoting between the two parts of the mast and to secure their attachment. Preferably, these locking means are tamper-proof. They can be advantageously hidden by masking means such as those described above, for example a sliding outer ring. Similar locking means (not shown) can also be used to secure the immobilization of the mast in an inclined position, especially during maintenance. The present invention has been described with reference to an advantageous embodiment thereof, but it is understood that various modifications may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims. In particular, the invention could be applied to masts other than public lighting masts, for example signal poles, advertising masts, camera supports, flag-holders, etc.
