1 BOITE À EAU DE VEHICULE AUTOMOBILE La présente invention concerne une boîte à eau pour véhicule automobile. La présente invention concerne plus particulièrement une boite à eau destinée à la partie avant de caisse d'un véhicule située sous un capot et comportant une partie centrale formant une gouttière en U ouvert vers le haut et fermée à ses extrémités par des joues latérales s'appuyant sur la caisse du véhicule, ladite boîte à eau supportant un pare-brise selon un premier côté longitudinal. Par ailleurs, cette structure peut parfois servir de soutien direct du bas du pare-brise. Dans d'autre cas, elle est fixée à la traverse inférieure de baie. Le document FR 2 788 250 au nom de la Demanderesse montre une telle structure dans laquelle la boîte à eau est prévue pour être démontable. La présente invention atteint ces buts en proposant une boîte à eau du type décrit précédemment caractérisée en ce qu'une pièce extensible réalise une liaison étanche entre le capot et un deuxième côté longitudinal de la boîte à eau de telle sorte que ladite pièce extensible se déploie et se replie en fonction de la position du capot par rapport à la boîte à eau. Comme le montre schématiquement les figures 1 et 2, la boîte à eau 1, sous forme générale d'une poutre en U ouvert vers le haut, est disposée sous et à l'arrière du capot 2 du véhicule, devant le pare-brise 4 qui repose sur un côté longitudinal 5 de la boîte à eau 1. La branche avant 7 de la boîte à eau 1 forme un rebord susceptible de porter une pièce extensible 6 venant réaliser une étanchéité du compartiment moteur par rapport à la boîte à eau 1. La branche arrière 5 de la boîte à eau 1 peut aussi comporter des logements et/ou des fixations non représentées pour les mécanismes d'essuie-glace et des dispositifs de prise d'air. Les figures 1 et 2 représentent une boite à eau 1 dont le côté longitudinal 7 porte une pièce extensible 6 qui relie le capot 2 à la boite à eau 1 tout en assurant l'étanchéité du compartiment moteur des conduits d'air de l'habitacle. La pièce extensible 6 est reliée à la doublure du capot 2 d'une part et au coté longitudinal 7 de la boite à eau 1 d'autre part. Ces liaisons sont réalisées par vissage, collage, clipsage ou chaussage des extrémités de la pièce extensible 6 sur ces éléments. Sur la figure 1, le capot 2 est représenté en position initiale en trait continu obturant le compartiment moteur situé en dessous et en position relevée en trait pointillés dans laquelle un utilisateur peut avoir accès au compartiment moteur. La figure 2 représente le capot 2 selon une autre position. En trait pointillés, le capot 2 est en position affaissée après avoir subit un choc piéton par exemple Dans ces deux positions, l'étanchéité est assurée par la pièce extensible 6 comportant une partie centrale 8 constituée de plis de matière en forme de dents de scie permettent de se déplier et de se replier sur eux-mêmes selon la position du capot par rapport à la boîte à eau. De cette façon, le capot 2 peut s'affaisser en cas de choc pour assurer un bon amortissement de l'énergie générée. Lorsque le capot 2 est en position relevée, les plis de matière se déploient pour suivre le mouvement du capot pour assurer l'étanchéité entre la boite à eau et le compartiment moteur.
