Il comporte également, selon une deuxième caractéristique, une plage d'agrément, permettant d'utiliser cet espace, de renforcer l'esthétisme général, et de protéger à la fois l'hélice et les personnes de cette dernière puisque la plage la surplombe. Selon des modes particuliers de réalisation : - les dimensions du coffre, ainsi que de la plage, s'adaptent aux dimensions du bateau à modifier, ainsi qu'aux dimensions du moteur choisi. - les bords du coffre peuvent être soit droits, soit convexes, épousant la forme caractéristique, des boudins des bateaux semi-rigides. - le devant du coffre peut être soit droit, soit profilé pour optimiser l'espace disponible ou l'esthétisme. - la partie arrière du coffre peut être soit droit, soit profilée pour rejoindre l'extrémité de la plage afin d'améliorer sa résistance ou son esthétisme. - la plage peut être fiixe, pourvue d'une trappe d'accession au moteur, ou être complètement articulée par l'avant ou l'arrière, afin de pouvoir accéder au moteur. Un système anti vol, à clé par exemple, peut venir empêcher l'ouverture de la trappe ou de la plage aux personnes non autorisées. - la plage peut également comporter des trappes permettant d'accéder à des aménagements intérieurs créés dans le coffre moteur. -2-la plage peut être recouverte d'un revêtement antidérapant, de matelas, ou comporter des ancrages et systèmes de fixation.
