Abstract

The method involves cutting a colorless rock crystal by a gem cutter in the shape of a convex lens (1). A color or white mother-of-pearl plate (2) is adjusted to the size of the rock crystal lens. The mother-of-pearl plate is adhered to the lens, under a vacuum chamber bell-jar (4), using an adhesive (3) polymerized by ultraviolet radiation. The radiation comes from an ultraviolet lamp (5) placed above the bell-jar.
