Abstract

The container has a base (1) and a rectangular cube delimiting an inner volume for receiving a two-wheeler. A fixation bar (6) integrated to a handle bar of the two-wheeler is adjustable in position for adapting multiple configurations of the two-wheeler. The cube has two longitudinal sides, each carrying fixation bar mounting units that are adjustable in position. A stop (14) longitudinally maintains a rear wheel of the two-wheeler.

Description

The present invention relates to a container for transporting vehicles

  two-wheelers such as motorcycles, bicycles or scooters.

  In this field, we have already sought to produce packaging capable of containing a cycle or a motorcycle in their interior volume to allow its transport including rail freight or air.

  The document FR-2.768.406 is part of this framework by proposing a specific configuration fund.

  To seek to effectively maintain the vehicle during transport, various blocking means such as those described in US-A-5,593,259 have been proposed.

  This document, however, has a single point of attachment and a complex metal structure.

  A disadvantage of the devices mentioned above is that their use is not flexible and adaptable to any type of vehicle.

  It therefore usually requires a particular container configuration for each type of two wheels.

  This is not satisfactory when it is desired, with a single container, to be able to transport different types of vehicles.

  The present invention overcomes this disadvantage and proposes for this purpose a new container whose use is flexible and can be adapted for the packaging and transport of two-wheeled vehicles having configurations (including size, height of the wheels, the handlebar, etc.) very variable.

  It can therefore be used to transport two-wheeled vehicles of various sizes which is advantageous in particular in the context of transport services suitable for being proposed by the railway companies allowing a user to request the transport of his two-wheeled vehicle. from one geographical point to another.

  Other objects and advantages will become apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment of the invention which is not however limiting thereto.

  The present invention relates to a container for transporting two-wheeled vehicles comprising: - a base and a peripheral structure delimiting an interior receiving volume of the vehicle; - A bar for fixing the handlebar of the vehicle, characterized in that the fixing bar is adjustable in position to adapt to several configurations of the two-wheeled vehicle.

  According to preferred embodiments, this container is such that: - the fixing bar is adjustable along the horizontal.

  - The fixing bar is adjustable according to the vertical.

  the peripheral structure comprises two longitudinal sides bearing each of the positionally adjustable mounting means for the fixing bar.

  - The mounting means comprise a plate provided with holes cooperating with one end of the fixing bar and a stop member of the fixing bar.

  - The mounting means comprise at least one slide adapted to cooperate with a movable adjusting member and secured to the fixing bar (6).

  - It includes a lateral holding vice of the front wheel of the vehicle. it comprises a lateral holding vice of the rear wheel of the vehicle.

  - It has a longitudinal retaining stop of the rear wheel of the vehicle.

  - The longitudinal retaining stop is mounted on a slide on the longitudinal sides of the peripheral structure.

  - The peripheral structure comprises a lateral side adapted to be folded down on the ground to form an access part.

  - The peripheral structure comprises a longitudinal side of which a portion is adapted to be folded down on the ground to form a lateral access portion. - the base is a palette.

  The accompanying drawings are given by way of example and are not limiting of the invention. They represent only one embodiment of the invention and will make it easy to understand.

  Figure 1 is a general perspective view of the container according to the invention in a first orientation.

  Figure 2 is also a perspective in another orientation.

  Figure 3 shows more precisely means for fixing the two-wheeled vehicle in the container according to a preferred embodiment.

  Figure 4 illustrates more precisely these means in cooperation with a two-wheeled vehicle.

  Figure 5 shows a step of mounting a two-wheeled vehicle. FIG. 6 is a view along the line F. As is apparent from the various figures, the container of the invention comprises a base 1 which may for example be of the palletizable type and thus be constituted by different longitudinal elements forming soles and attached to a flat surface constituting the receiving surface of the vehicle 2.

  The vehicle 2 shown is a motorcycle.

  Its configuration could however be very different from that illustrated.

  In particular, the invention is also directed to the transport of scooters.

  The illustrated container has a rectangular parallelepiped general configuration delimiting an interior receiving volume of the vehicle 2.

  The rectangular parallelepiped comprises a roof adjoining two longitudinal sides 8a, 8b substantially vertical and two lateral sides 9a, 9b also substantially vertical as visible in Figures 1 and 2. These sides may be plastic or wood.

  For ease of introduction and assembly of the vehicle 2 in the container, advantageously a longitudinal side 8a comprises two sections 20a, 20b articulated together hinge so as to be open flap of the panel 20a on the pan 20b.

  In addition, a lateral side 9a can be constituted by two hinged sections 19a, 19b.

  More specifically, for this side side 9a, the hinge ensures the flap of the panels 19a, 19b on the ground so as to constitute an access ramp for the vehicle as shown in Figure 5.

  The folding step is also visible in its cinematic in FIG.

  For holding the vehicle 2 in position, the container comprises a fixing bar 6 adapted to be secured to the handlebar 3 of the vehicle 2, in particular by means of straps not shown.

  In a manner characteristic of the invention, the fixing bar 6 is adjustable in position to adapt to several configurations of vehicles 2.

  Thus, preferably, one can vary the position of the bar 6 in height and laterally.

  According to the example illustrated more particularly in FIG. 5, a plate 10 is formed on each of the longitudinal sides 8a, 8b, the plate 10 comprising a plurality of holes 11 each providing a possible location for mounting the fixing bar 6.

  In this way, the fixing bar 6 extends transversely in the container interior volume and can take different lateral positions and height.

  Once the correct position chosen, the fixing bar can be secured to the handlebars and the vehicle 2 thus kept perfectly in position.

  Of course, the holes 11 may also be formed directly in the longitudinal wall considered 8a, 8b.

  However, the plate 10 provides a better wear resistance.

  The maintenance in the final position of the bar 6 can be operated by any current fixing means and in particular by two pins at each of its ends, or by threading.

  According to a non-illustrated embodiment, the adjustment of the fixing bar 6 is done differently.

  Each longitudinal side 8a, 8b comprises one or more slides (for example two vertical rails and two horizontal slides) allowing a first adjustment in position for the fixing bar 6.

  The latter is not directly mounted through the slide chosen by the operator.

  Indeed, the bar 6 is itself framed by two additional adjustment members, each cooperating with one of the slides.

  According to a first possibility, the adjustment members are pivoted relative to the slideway before being clamped, which makes it possible to modify the angular orientation of the bar 6.

  In this case, each member may be a simple arm providing eccentric rotation of the bar 6 relative to the slides.

  According to another possibility, the adjusting members each form a plate with multiple locations for fixing the bar 6.

  Thus, the operator performs a first positioning adjustment by choosing a pair of rails (right / left) bringing the bar 6 of the handlebar 3 and moving the adjustment members in the adapted slides. Then, the operator refines the adjustment by adjusting the orientation of the bar (according to the 1st possibility) or the mounting area of the bar on the adjustment members (according to the second possibility).

  So as to complete the holding in position of the vehicle 2, the container presented here advantageously comprises two clamps 12, 13 respectively holding the front wheel 4 and the rear wheel 5 of the vehicle 2.

  Figure 6 gives an illustration of the configuration of these vices 12, 13.

  These are advantageously made similarly and comprise a pair of rails 15 oriented transversely relative to the container and allowing the sliding of two jaws 16 able to frame the wheel of the vehicle.

  The sliding of the jaws 16 may for example be obtained via a groove formed thereon in cooperation with the rails 15; In addition, once the jaw 16 is applied to the side wall of the wheel, its final fixing is ensured in particular by a screwing means in cooperation with the rail 15.

  The jaws 16 are advantageously removable to adapt to the height of the vehicle wheels.

  To complete the holding in position of the vehicle 2, the container further advantageously comprises a stop 14 shown in Figure 6 in the form of a transverse bar capable of sliding from front to rear and vice versa in the container.

  FIG. 3 shows an example of slide in the form of oblong holes formed on the longitudinal walls 8a, 8b so as to allow the movement of the abutment 14 from front to back.

  A stop 14 of another format is also presented in FIG.

  Referring to Figure 5, the mounting of the vehicle 2 is performed very conveniently as described below.

  The user begins by folding the lateral side 9a consists of two foldable panels 19a, 19b so as to constitute an access ramp as illustrated.

  Similarly, the longitudinal side portion 20a 8a is folded down to allow lateral access to the user.

  Then, the vehicle 2 is brought into the interior of the container.

  At this stage, the position of the fixing bar 6 is adjusted relative to the handlebar 3 through the multiple holes 11. Once the correct position is found, the bar 6 is secured to the handlebar 3 by straps (not shown).

  Laterally, the front and rear wheels 4, 5 are ensured. This is done by sliding the jaws 16, 18 of the vices 12, 13 to bring them into lateral contact with the wheels 4, 5 as shown in FIG. once this position is achieved, the jaws 16, 18 are fixed.

  It is then possible to close the longitudinal side 8a and put in position the stop 14 at the rear of the rear wheel 5.

  This stop prevents any recoil of the vehicle 2.

  Finally, the container is finally closed by deploying the foldable sides 19a, 19b side 9a.

  Note that these steps can be performed for various types of vehicle even for vehicles of very different configurations.

  Container for transporting two-wheeled vehicles comprising: - a base (1) and a peripheral structure (7) delimiting an interior vehicle receiving space (2): - a bar (6) for fixing the handlebar (3) ) of the vehicle (2), characterized in that the fixing bar (6) is adjustable in position to accommodate several configurations of the two-wheeled vehicle (2).   io 2. Container according to claim 4, characterized in that the mounting means comprise a plate (10) provided with holes (11) cooperating with one end of the fixing bar (6) and a stop member of the bar fixing (6).   6. Container according to claim 4, characterized in that the mounting means comprise at least one slide adapted to cooperate with a movable adjusting member and secured to the fixing bar (6).   7. Container according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it comprises a vise (12) for lateral support of the front wheel (4) of the vehicle (2).   8. Container according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that it comprises a vice (13) for lateral support of the rear wheel (5) of the vehicle (2).   9. Container according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that it has a stop (14) for longitudinal retention of the rear wheel (5) of the vehicle (2).   10. Container according to claim 9, characterized in that the stop (14) for longitudinal retention is mounted on a slide on the longitudinal sides (8a, 8b) of the peripheral structure (7).   11. Container according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that io the peripheral structure (7) has a lateral side (9a, 9b) adapted to be folded down on the ground to form an access portion.   12. Container according to claim 11 characterized in that the peripheral structure (7) comprises a longitudinal side (8a, 8b) adapted to be folded down on the ground to form a lateral access portion.   13.
