Abstract

A projectile has a one-piece body (1) with radial fins (2-5) having tapering edges (6-9), curved outer surfaces (10-13), and an axial channel (14) containing an insert (16). The axial channel is open at both ends and has a low degree of taper from one end to the other, while the curved outer surfaces of the body are concave in shape and lead from one fin to the next. The insert, which also has through channels (18- 21), has an angle of taper matching that of the main axial channel.
