Abstract

  We already know notebooks formed of several linked sheets, each sheet having a first edge adjacent to the bookbinding and a second edge opposite the first. These notebooks generally comprise a first and a second sheet of the same dimensions, and intermediate sheets arranged between the back of the first sheet and the front of the second sheet, the width (the width being defined in the direction perpendicular to that of the binding) of said intermediate leaflets being smaller than that of the first and second leaflets, so that the left margin of the back of the first leaflet and the right margin of the front of the second leaflet exceed the intermediate leaflets.

  Typically, this type of notebook is used as follows: First, one inscribes in the left margin of the back of the first sheet, a list of information, for example several names of people arranged one above the other. Then, on the index sheets, in front of each name, you enter various information about the person concerned, for example, his height, his weight, the results of various tests ... As the information in the left margin of the back the first sheet remain visible when turning the interlayers, it is not necessary to copy them on each insert sheet.

  This type of notebook nevertheless has a disadvantage when the list of information is too long to be written in the left margin of the back of the first sheet because it then becomes necessary to use two notebooks to enter the entire list.

  One solution is to put the beginning of this long list in the left margin of the back of the first sheet and the remainder of this list in the right margin of the front of the second sheet, the information on the back of the leaflets being related to information of the first slip, while the information on the front of the slip sheets relates to the information in the second slip.

  However, this solution is not used in practice because the information in the second leaflet is to the right of the information relating thereto, which is particularly uncomfortable for the user accustomed to reading from left to right (it should also be noted that that for the user accustomed to read from right to left, the same type of problem arises since the information of the first leaflet are on the left of the information thereon).

  The purpose of the present invention is to propose a booklet of leaflets which makes it possible to solve the aforementioned drawbacks.

  The cutting of the intermediate sheets and the positioning of the first and second information areas mean that the latter always appear on the same side of the information areas of the leaflets, that is to say, depending on the orientation of the booklet, either in left margin, either in the right margin, or in the upper margin, or in the lower margin of these leaflets. This makes it possible to respect the same provision of the information with respect to the information relating thereto and thus to keep the same reading direction of the data for each leaflet.

  For the sake of simplification, here we consider only the case where the leaflets of the booklet are intended to be turned from left to right or from right to left around said pivot axis (the left and the right being here defined relative to the user of the booklet) and where the user is accustomed to reading from left to right. Thus, the orientation of the booklet is chosen such that the first and second information areas are respectively to the left of the first and second sheet.

  Advantageously, the two information zones arranged next to each other with two successive intermediate sheets, are substantially identical. The visual rendering of these areas is therefore the same.

  Furthermore, advantageously, the information likely to appear in said two substantially identical information areas, are of the same nature and are respectively related to the information that may appear in said first and second information areas. This makes it easy to compare this information with each other.

  The present invention also has the advantage of facilitating the comparison of information relating to two lists of information which are related to each other (for example two similar lists or two lists ordered in the same way). Indeed, thanks to the invention, it is possible to register the first list in the first information area and the second list in the second information area. Whichever page he opens the booklet, the user faces him, the two lists to compare and similar information relating to these two lists. An example of this way of using the booklet of the invention is given below in the detailed description of the invention.

  According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the cutting of the intermediate sheets is such that each insert sheet has a first side window which opens on its first edge, and is such that at least a portion of the second edge of each intermediate sheet is set back from the second edge of the first and second sheets.

  Several forms are possible for the second edge of the intermediate leaflets, ie this edge is rectilinear and in this case is entirely set back with respect to the second edge of the first and second sheets, or this edge has a particular, non-rectilinear contour, and in this case case it is only part of the edge (at least) that is set back.

  Advantageously, the cutting of the intermediate sheets is such that each intermediate sheet has a first side window that opens into the median portion of its first edge and a second side window that opens into the median portion of its second edge, said information areas being located between said windows.

  It is interesting, on the one hand, that the first side window opens into the middle part of the first edge of said insert sheet, because it is thus possible to connect the wings located on each side of this first window to the fastening system, which ensures a good hold of the sheet on the fastening system and allows the user to easily rotate this sheet. On the other hand, it is interesting that the second side window opens into the middle part of its second edge, because the wings on each side of this second window contribute to stiffen each interlayer sheet, which allows the user to rotate this sheet easily.

  Advantageously, the intermediate sheets have a generally I-shaped cutout. In this case, the first and second side windows are substantially rectangular.

  Advantageously, when the intermediate sheets used are 21 X 29.7 cm, the dimensions of said first and second side windows are between 3 and 7 cm wide and 16 and 27 cm long and, advantageously, these dimensions are between 4 and 5 cm wide and 18 and 20 cm in length, so as to ensure good rigidity said sheets.

  First, the structure of the register shown in the figures will be described, and then a particular example of use of this register will be described.

  The register designated by the general reference 10 in the figures comprises a leaflet of the invention, a cover 12 to which is attached a fastening system comprising a rod on which are mounted four rings 14, each ring being formed of two parts 14a and 14b adapted to be joined or disjoint, so that the leaflets mounted on this system are removable.

  Of course, any other fastening system could be suitable (even if it does not allow to move or remove the sheets), such as a spiral system or any known binding system.

  This register includes in addition to the leaflet of the invention, a leaflet of diary sheets 13, these leaflets all having the same format, for example an A4 21 x 29.7 cm. The two fascicles are separated by an intermediate mark 15 protruding from the edge of the two fascicles.

  Each leaflet has a first edge intended to abut said ring system and a second edge opposite the first. Perforations (generally four, but for some only two leaflets) are provided along the first edge of each leaflet and said rings are passed through these perforations, so that the leaflets are pivotally mounted around the ring system which defines an axis. The wings 27 which border the first side window 26 are perforated so that the intermediate sheets are retained by the two end rings 14 of the fastening system.   In the example, the side windows 26 and 28 of all the intermediate leaflets 20 coincide with each other.   As represented in FIGS. 1 to 4, so as to use the maximum space on the first and second sheets 16 and 18, the latter can comprise information zones 33 and 34 respectively located to the right of the first 22 and the second zone. 24.   According to an alternative embodiment of the booklet, the intermediate sheets may all have the same cut and the tab system may consist of pins glued to the second edge of the first intermediate sheets of each series, which exceed the edge of said sheets.

  The structure of the register according to the invention is well understood, we will now detail an example of use of this register.

  The example chosen is that of a register intended to be used by a coach of a football club. The coach of a club usually deals with two teams, a main team, called team A, and a substitute team, called team B. However, it is interesting for a coach to follow in parallel the evolution of the players of these two teams because, occasionally, the coach may have to replace a player of team A by a player team B.   In information areas 32, 33, and 34, the coach records information pertaining to each player in front of the corresponding names (ie on the same line).   On the other hand, the register of the invention comprising a diary part, this register is a complete tool and particularly effective for the trainer.
