Abstract

The rollator has longitudinal and parallel skates (1, 2) at its lower end. Each longitudinal and parallel skate is fixed and connected to two bases of the rollator by T shaped tubes (3-6). Front ends of the two skates are terminated by a curve at 45 degrees. The tubes are super structure inox 316L (25x1.5) tubes. The surfaces of the longitudinal and parallel skates are positioned on the ground.

  The BEACH BREAKER is the adapted version of the ordinary rollator, and exclusively for people with disabilities or reduced mobility in order to access the beaches normally.

  To the observation, we realized that indeed the beaches (at the level of access) 5, were not equipped, except some bridges placed on the sand, most often made of grating, and covered or not with a thick canvas or carpet type upholstery.

  This type of access, most often made by local authorities, remains unsuitable or even dangerous for people with disabilities.

  In fact, on the one hand, these accesses, although reserved, are used by all publics, and on the other hand, the coatings deteriorating and deteriorating rather quickly, thus presenting the form of grating of the real dangers for the handicapped person.

  While these people are very demanding of sea bathing bringing some therapeutic virtues, the beaches remain for the most part deprived of equipment or for some equipped with structures unsuited to the example of bridges of light constructions (wooden grating), not being able to the limit offer displacement solution only on the surface they occupy.

  In addition, some amphibious devices allow the bath, but these pedalo type devices, require the intervention of third parties and can not resolve the movement on the beach.

  Finally, the use of existing medical equipment (crutches and walkers classic) is ineffective because having to support the weight of the person, they sinking very easily in the sand, which can cause the fall of the user .

  The BEACH DRIVER makes it possible, thanks to its invention, to remedy all the problems mentioned above.

  It is provided at its lower end with two longitudinal and parallel pads 1-2 (Fig 2) fixed and each connected to the two legs of the apparatus by a T-tube 2-3-4-5-6 (Fig 2).

  The surface of these two pads placed on the ground prevents any penetration into the sand. The front end of the runners ending in a curvature at 45 prohibits penetration and forced walking in the sand.

  The second feature favors the use in seawater by its 316L (25X1.5) stainless steel tube construction, which guarantees the durability of the equipment.

  The user wishing to bathe, needs the equipment to perform the same functions as on the beach, and secondly is heavy enough to prevent any flotation, and that eventually it can be left in the water and then recovered if the person wishes to make some movement independently.

  The nature of the construction gives the walker a sufficient weight to meet the above, without this weight comes to disrupt walking.
