Abstract

The clothes hanger (1), made e.g. from metal, plastic or wood, is in two halves (2), each consisting of a hook (5) at the top, a rounded projection (10) and a bar (8) at the bottom with an end stop (12). The two halves are attached to a hanging rail (3) with the hooks facing in opposite directions and using the rounded projections to manipulate them.

Description

The present invention relates to a clothes hanger.

  A classic hanger includes an upper hook and two oblique shoulder receiving branches of a shirt. It may also include a horizontal lower leg of suspension of one or more pants.

  Such a hanger has limited possibilities of use and, in some cases, is not very practical to use. In particular, such a hanger can be more or less easy to hang and unhook from a suspension bar.

  The object of the present invention is to provide a hanger having wider possibilities of use and being very practical to use in all cases, and while remaining very easy to use and inexpensive to manufacture.

  For this purpose, the hanger according to the invention is formed by two half-hangers intended to be placed side by side on a suspension bar, each half-hanger comprising a rounded upper hook, which delimits an opening on one side, at least a receiving portion of a garment, and a manipulating portion forming a boss projecting below the opening of the hook, the two half-hangers being intended to be placed on the suspension bar with their inverted hooks, so that said bosses are, in this position, protruding in opposite directions and can be manually grasped to be brought closer, this bringing together to achieve a mutual spacing of the two hooks to release these hooks relative to the suspension bar.

  The hanger according to the invention is thus formed by two half-hangers which make it possible to increase the capacity of the hanger to receive clothes, in particular one or more pants on each receiving portion, and one or more shirts; this hanger is reliably suspended from a suspension bar, taking into account the two hooks that it has, and is easy to hang and unhook, by simultaneous pressures or releases exerted on said handling portions to move away or closer together these hooks.

  Each half-hanger can however be used alone, as a conventional hanger for supporting a pair of trousers.

  According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, each semicintre is formed by a filiform rod, said handling portion then having a curved shape to arrange said boss.

  This handling portion then advantageously has a radius of curvature greater than that of the hook.

  Each half-hanger may comprise, between said handling portion and said receiving portion, an intermediate branch disposed obliquely when the half-hanger is hooked, having an orientation adapted to receiving a shoulder of a liner.

  The intermediate branches of the two half-hangers are thus inclined in different directions when the half-hangers are suspended, and can be used to receive the shoulders of one or more shirts; in the case of two shirts placed superimposed on one another, the two half-hangers according to the invention allow to get the shirt placed underneath a relatively simple and easy handling, proceeding as follows: 1) bring out, through the collar of the liner to be removed, the portion of the half-hanger supporting the liner which connects the intermediate branch to said receiving portion; 2) engage the receiving portion of the same half-hanger in the collar and shoulders of the shirt that we want to keep on the hanger, repositioning this half-hanger next to the other half-hanger and according to its reversed position of origin, under the shirt to keep; 3) release from below the shirt to be removed.

  According to a simple embodiment of the invention, each half-hanger is made of a single piece of material, in particular a metal or plastic material, or wood.

  The end of the receiving portion of a half-hanger can form a terminal stop allowing, when several pants are placed on this portion of reception, to retain pants located on the underside when removing pants located on the above. In addition, the weight of this stop allows a rebalancing of the half hanger empty, such that the half-hanger can be hooked with its receiving portion disposed substantially horizontally.

  This abutment can in particular be achieved by providing a bent portion, preferably ring, the end of said receiving portion.

  The receiving portion of the hanger may also have a length such that the receiving portion extends, when the two half-hangers are placed side by side, beyond the zone connecting said handling portion or said intermediate branch to said receiving portion of the other half-hanger.

  The free end of this receiving portion thus forms an additional support surface of a shirt shoulder, well adapted to the shape of such a shoulder.

  The invention will be better understood, and other features and advantages thereof will become apparent, with reference to the accompanying drawing, showing, by way of non-limiting example, a preferred embodiment of the hanger it relates.

  Figure 1 is a side view, while it is attached to a suspension rod; Figure 2 is a side view thereof, while being manipulated so as to be unhooked from this suspension rod; Figure 3 is a view of the hanger similar to Figure 1, equipped with clothing support plates; Figure 4 is a perspective view of one of these plates, and Figure 5 is a view of the hanger similar to Figure 2, according to an alternative embodiment.

  Figure 1 shows a clothes hanger 1, formed by two half-hangers 2 intended to be placed side by side on a suspension bar 3, as shown.

  Each half-hanger 2 is formed by a filamentary rod, in particular a metal rod, and comprises a rounded upper hook 5, a handling portion 6, an intermediate branch 7 and a lower branch 8.

  Each hook 5 defines an opening on one side, allowing its engagement around the suspension bar 3.

  Each handling portion 6 is rounded to a radius greater than that of the hook 5 and forms a boss 10 projecting below the opening of the hook 5.

  The intermediate branch 7 is more or less inclined when the half-handlebar 2 is hooked, and is connected to the lower branch 8 by a rounded area 11.

  The lower branch 8 is rectilinear and can receive a garment engaged on it, especially pants. It has a length such that it extends, when the two half-hangers 2 are placed side by side, beyond the rounded area 11 of the other half-hanger 2, and comprises, at its free end , a portion 12 bent in a ring.

  The protruding end of this lower branch 8 forms, when a shoulder of a shirt is engaged on an intermediate branch 7, a support surface of the other shoulder of this shirt. Said part 12 makes it possible to form a terminal retention stop of a pair of trousers placed on the branch 8, situated on the underside of another pair of trousers, when the other pants are removed, and makes it possible to balance a half-hanger 2 empty.

  Figure 1 shows that the two half-hangers 2 are intended to be placed on the suspension bar 3 with their inverted hooks, so that said bosses 10, in this position, protrude in opposite directions.

  FIG. 2 shows, in turn, that the half-hangers 2 can be grasped manually to be brought together, this bringing together making it possible to separate the two hooks 5 in order to release these hooks with respect to the suspension bar 3.

  The hanger 1 according to the invention, thus formed by two half-hangers 2, has an increased capacity of receiving clothes, and can in particular receive one or more pants on each branch 8, and the shoulders of one or more shirts on the two branches 7.

  This hanger 1 is reliably suspended from the suspension bar 3, taking into account the two hooks 5 that it has, and is easy to hang and unhook, by simultaneous pressures or releases exerted on said handling portions 6 in order to discard or bring closer these hooks 5.

  FIG. 3 shows that each half-hanger 2 can receive one or two clothing support plates, making it possible to widen the support of these clothes against these half-hangers 2. These plates 15 comprise clipping projections 16 which can to enclose a branch 7 between them and thus allow a mounting of the wafer 15 by clipping on this branch 7.

  It appears in Figure 4 that the branches 7 and 8 and the portion 11 can be thick, to ensure the rigidity of the hanger.

  As is apparent from the foregoing, the invention provides a clothes hanger hanger having the essential advantage of having expanded use possibilities while remaining very easy to use and inexpensive to manufacture.

  It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above by way of example but that it extends to all embodiments covered by the appended claims.

Claims (10)

  1 hanger (1) for suspending clothes, characterized in that it is formed by two half-hangers (2) intended to be placed side by side on a suspension bar (3), each half-hanger (2) comprising a rounded upper hook (5), which defines an opening on one side, at least a portion (8) for receiving a garment, and a handling portion (6) forming a boss (10) projecting below the opening the hook (5), the two half-hangers (2) being intended to be placed on the suspension bar (3) with their hooks (5) reversed, so that said bosses (10) are, in this position , projecting in opposite directions and can be manually gripped to be closer, this bringing together to separate the two hooks (5) to release these hooks (5) relative to the suspension bar (3).   2 hanger (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that each half-hanger (2) is formed by a filamentary rod, said handling portion (6) having a curved shape to arrange said boss (10).   3 hanger (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that the handling portion (6) of a half-hanger (2) has a radius of curvature greater than that of the hook (5) of the half-hanger.   4 hanger (1) according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that each half-hanger (2) comprises, between said handling portion (6) and said receiving portion (8), an intermediate branch (7 ) arranged obliquely when the half-hanger (2) is hooked, having an orientation adapted to receiving a shoulder of a shirt.   5 hanger (1) according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that each half-hanger (2) is made of a single piece of material, including a metal or plastic material, or wood.   6 hanger (1) according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the end of the receiving portion (8) of a half-hanger (2) forms a terminal stop (12).   7 hanger (1) according to claim 6, characterized in that said abutment (12) is formed by providing a curved portion, preferably ring, the end of said receiving portion (8).   8 hanger (1) according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the receiving portion (8) of a half-handlebar (2) has a length such that this receiving portion (8) is extended, when the two half-hangers (2) are placed side by side, beyond the zone (11) connecting said handling portion (6) or said intermediate branch (7) to said receiving portion (8) of the other half-hanger (2).   9 hanger (1) according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that each half-hanger (2) can receive one or two plates (15) for supporting clothing.   Hanger (1) according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the intermediate legs (7) and lower (8) of the half-hangers (2), and the portions (11) connecting these intermediate branches ( 7) and lower (8) are thick, to ensure the rigidity of the hanger.
