Cintre porte-pantalon.
Pants hanger.
The present invention relates to pants hangers, of the type consisting of a bare metal wire or, preferably, painted or covered with a sheath of plastic or the like, having a general isosceles triangular shape, the top of which is provided with a hook formed by a suitably shaped end of the wire, the folded pants to be suspended having to overlap the cross member formed by the base of this triangle most often covered with a lining, for example of plastic foam, such as a tube or profile, striated or ribbed.
The object of the invention is to produce a hanger of this type provided with very simple means, without any mechanical device, capable of preventing the pants from slipping, without however causing them to take unsightly folds.
For this purpose, the hanger according to the invention comprises a first retaining means consisting of a main tubular lining with a high coefficient of friction and a second retaining means consisting of sleeves of flexible and elastic material also with a high coefficient of friction, the 'one of these two means being carried by the cross member of the hanger, and the other by one or more elements of metal wire of the same nature as that of which the hanger is made, parallel to the cross member and at a distance from the latter such that, when each sleeve is slid on the wire element which supports it, it can be brought into contact with the folded trousers overlapping the tubular lining, to hold the latter or, on the contrary, to move it away from the trousers which can then be identified. The subject of the invention is also embodiments comprising at least one of the following characteristics:
at. The main tubular lining with a high coefficient of friction is mounted on the cross member of the hanger, while the sleeves of flexible and elastic material are slidably mounted on the wire parallel to said cross member; b. Each metal wire element supporting the sleeves is constituted by the lower part of one of the two oblique sides of the triangle forming the hanger, suitably arched inward and connected to the rest of said side by a rising part on which it is possible, by sliding, bring the corresponding sleeve away from the crossbar carrying the pants; vs. The main tubular lining is carried by the wire parallel to the cross member of the hanger, while the sleeves are slidably mounted on said cross member.
The invention will be better understood on reading the following description and on examining the appended drawings which show, by way of non-limiting examples, embodiments of a hanger according to the invention.
In these drawings: Figure 1 is a front view of a first embodiment of the trouser hanger according to the invention; Figure 2 is a side view corresponding to Figure 1; Figure 3 is a front view of another embodiment.
The trouser hanger, shown in Figures 1 and 2 and designated as a whole by 1, consists of a bare metal wire or, preferably, painted or covered with a plastic sheath, or the like, substantially affecting a generally triangular isosceles shape whose base, intended to support the pants, is designated by 2, and the sides by 3 and 4, respectively.
The top of the triangle is provided with a hook 5 formed by a suitably curved end of the metal wire, the other end of said wire forming a tight loop 6 on the base of the hook 5.
The trouser support crossbar 2 is covered with a lining 9, for example of plastic foam, on which folded trousers 10 can be placed, without forming a marked fold.
The lower parts of the two oblique sides 3, 4 of the hanger are arched, inwardly, so as to form two elements 11, 12 which extend, over a certain length, in a direction parallel to the horizontal cross member 2 of the hanger These two elements 11, 12 are connected to the remainder of the two sides 3, 4. by rising parts 13, 14, respectively.
On the two elements 11, 12 of the bent are slidably mounted two sleeves 18, 19, respectively, of a flexible and elastic material and with a high coefficient of friction, such as, for example, plastic foam.
The distance between the elements 11, 12 and the crossbar 2 of the hanger, as well as the diameter of the lining 9 and that of the two sleeves 18, 19, are such that, when the pants 10 overlaps the support lining 9, if the one - brings, by sliding, the two sleeves 18, 19 against the trousers (as shown for example for the sleeve 18), the trousers are applied against the support lining 9 by said sleeves and it cannot slide, since the packing and the sleeves are made of a material with a high coefficient of friction. The flexibility of the trim and the sleeves is such that these parts do not risk forming unsightly folds on the trousers.
To release the pants, it suffices to slide the two sleeves 18, 19 towards the outer ends of the elements 11, 12 on which they are mounted, so that they are located outside the pants, or else, if the pants are of a width almost as great as the total width of the hanger, we can then make the two sleeves fit on the rising parts 13, 14 of the hanger, as shown for the sleeve 19 on the right part of Figure 1.
In Figure 3, there is shown a variant of a hanger according to the invention, generally designated by 21 and whose cross member 2 carries the two sliding sleeves 18, 19 while the tubular lining 9 is carried by a rod 22 the same wire as that of which the hanger is made and the ends of which are hooked, respectively, to the two ends of the part of the wire of the hanger which constitutes the cross member 2. The distance between the rod 22 and the cross member 2 of the hanger, counts -Taken from the thickness of the tubular lining and that of the sleeves 18, 19, is such that a pair of pants supported by the hanger can be slightly clamped between the lining 9 and the sleeves 18, 19 so as not to risk The two sleeves 18 and 19 are slid on the rod 2 so as to bring them more or less to each other depending on the width of the garment to be hung. One can thus, for example, suspend trousers on the trim 9. while the upper part of the hanger is wearing a jacket.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown; it goes without saying that we can make changes without going out. for it; of the framework governing it.
