Abstract

The device has a longitudinal positional installation unit on a ski (2) for retaining support fixations within a chosen position. A surface (7) of the ski includes a retaining projection extending upwards and engaging a longitudinal aperture realized within a base (10,10) of the fixations. A traversal brooch (11,11) immobilizes the base that includes traversal holes engaging with the locking instrument. An Independent claim is also included for a ski having a retaining projection.

  The present invention relates to a device for retaining and adjusting the longitudinal position of a binding on a snow gliding board such as a ski or the like.

  In a manner known per se, the boot of the skier is retained on the ski in a triggerable manner, by its front end by a front safety fastening commonly called "stop", and by its rear end, and in particular its heel by means of a fastening safety rear commonly called "heel".

  It is known that for proper handling of the skis, the boot must in the retaining position on the ski be in a determined longitudinal position on the ski, to allow correct skiing, and in particular so that the middle of the sole must correspond with a marking generally made on the ski by the manufacturer.

  The invention therefore relates to a device making it possible to removably and adjustably fix one or the other of the front and / or rear bindings on the upper surface of the ski, and this in a determined longitudinal position adapted to the length of the sole of the shoe, and by simple reliable, inexpensive means.

  The invention also relates to the ski, which comprises part of the means, as well as the binding which comprises the complementary means.

  Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows with reference to the appended drawings which are given only by way of nonlimiting examples.

  As it appears in FIG. 1, the boot (1) of the skier is retained on the ski (2) in a triggerable manner, by its front end (3) by 5 a front safety attachment (4) commonly called "stop", and by its rear end, and in particular its heel (5) thanks to a rear safety attachment (6) commonly called "heel piece".

  The boot (1) must, in the retaining position on the ski, be in a longitudinal position (Pc) determined on the ski, to allow correct skiing, and in particular so that the middle of the sole (Mc) must correspond to a marking (Ms) generally made on the ski (2) by the manufacturer.

  The invention relates to the device for removably and adjustable fixing one or the other of the front (4) and / or rear (6) bindings 15 on the upper surface (7) of the ski (2), and this in a determined longitudinal position (Pb, Pt) adapted to the length of the sole of the shoe (1).

  The device for retaining a binding (4, 6) according to the invention comprises means for positioning in the longitudinal position on the ski, and for retaining in the chosen position.

  The device of the invention is such that the upper surface (7) of the ski (2) comprises at least one retaining projection (8, 8 ′, 8 ") extending upwards, intended to be engaged in a lumen longitudinal (9, 9 ', 9 ") produced in the base (10, 10') of the fixing (4, 6), while a locking member (11, 11 ', 11") is provided which immobilizes the base (10, 10 ') with the projection (8, 8', 8 ").

  The retaining projection (8) is advantageously cylindrical, and comprises a threaded end (80) intended to be targeted in the body of the ski, while the part projecting above the upper surface of the ski, comprises a central cylindrical part (82) surmounted by an upper part (83) of a larger diameter in order to constitute a peripheral vertical retaining rim (82). Furthermore, one of the ends of the longitudinal lumen (9, 9 ', 9 ") comprises a circular hole (13, 13', 13") whose diameter is greater than the diameter of the upper part (83). Note also that the width of the longitudinal lumen (9, 9 ', 9 ") is slightly greater than the diameter of the cylindrical central part (82), to allow the relative longitudinal displacement of the base (10, 10') compared to the projection.

  The locking member (11, 11 ', 11 ") consists of at least one transverse branch (110), such as for example a cylindrical metal profile such as a pin or a pin.

  In order to lock the base on the projection, the transverse branch is engaged in a transverse hole (12, 12 ', 12 ") made in the base and extending transversely, to cooperate with said retaining projection ( 8, 8 ', 8 ").

  According to the device of the invention, the base (10, 10 ') can be fixed on the ski (2) in different longitudinal positions. Also, the base (10) comprises a succession of transverse holes. Thus the locking member can be engaged in one or the other of the transverse holes, depending on the longitudinal position chosen.

  The locking member may be a simple metal branch engaged in one of the transverse holes, and passing through the retaining projection, as illustrated in FIG. 10, or a U-shaped stirrup, comprising two parallel transverse branches (110, 111) which, once engaged in corresponding transverse holes, are disposed respectively on either side of the projection, namely at the front and at the rear, as is more particularly illustrated in FIGS. 4, 5 and 8.

  Figures 2 to 5 are views illustrating an embodiment of the device of the invention used for a stop.

  According to this embodiment, the base (10) is constituted by a base plate independent of the body (14) of stop (4). It is on this base (10) that the stop body will be fixed using a set of screws (15).

  It will be noted that the base comprises three longitudinal slots (9, 9 ', 9 "), while the ski comprises three corresponding retaining projections (8, 8', 8") which are screwed into the ski (2). It will also be noted that the locking member (11) is a U-shaped metal pin, which therefore comprises two transverse locking branches (110, 111).

  Add that the base (10) includes a succession of four transverse holes (12, 12 ', 12 ", 12"'), allowing the user to choose, one of these pairs of holes to position and fix the base (10) in a selected chosen position, the two arms of the locking member being engaged in two transverse holes, to be arranged on either side 20 of the central part (82), namely at front and rear.

  Figures 6 to 8 are views illustrating an alternative embodiment of the device of the invention used for a heel piece (6).

  According to this variant embodiment, the base (10 ′) is constituted by the slide of the heel in which the body (16) of the heel slides in a known manner.

  It will be noted that the base (10 '), that is to say the slide, comprises three longitudinal lights (9, 9', 9 "), while the ski comprises three retaining projections (8, 8 ', 8") which are screwed into the ski (2). It will also be noted that the locking member (11) is a metal pin in the shape of 5 U, which therefore comprises two transverse locking branches (110, 111).

  Add that the base (10 ') includes a succession of six transverse holes (12, 12a, 12', 12'a, 12 ", 12" a), namely three pairs of holes (1212a, 12'-12'a , 12 "-12" a), allowing the user to choose, one of these pairs of holes for positioning and fixing the base (10) in a determined chosen position 10, the two branches of the locking being engaged in two transverse holes, to be arranged on either side of the retaining projection (s). According to this variant, one of the transverse locking branches (111) is in contact with the central part (82) of the projection (s), while the other transverse branch (110) is in contact with the upper part (83 ) of said projection. For this purpose the general plane of the locking member, that is to say the plane containing the two branches of the pin is inclined, for example to extend towards the shoe and upwards. Thus, the three pairs of transverse holes are inclined in the same way. Figure 9 is a top view in horizontal section at the central part of the locking projections, showing an alternative embodiment of the locking member (11 ").

  Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown by way of examples, but it also includes all the technical equivalents as well as their combinations.

Claims (6)
