Abstract

The fire lighting system for barbecues comprises a sliding drawer (4), on which a firelighter is placed. This is mounted in a tubular support column for the barbecue and has longitudinal slots (9A) which slide along plates (10) mounted on it.

Description

IGNITION DRAWER

  The invention relates to a barbecue ignition device.

  It also relates to the barbecue equipped with said ignition system.

  Lighting charcoal barbecues is the only operation that sometimes takes place with difficulty. To light charcoal it is known to use tablets of combustible material which are easily lit and which, when placed on the

  coal, are intended to ignite it.

  For the charcoal to ignite, it is recommended to place these shelves 10 partially under the charcoal so that the rising flames lick the charcoal

Of wood.

  If the fuel plate is entirely under the mass of coal

  wood, it is not uncommon for it to go out due to lack of oxygen.

  Furthermore, it is unpleasant to place this wafer under the charcoal or to try to put it back in place when it is badly placed.

  Instead of these fuel plates, it is known to make use of a flammable liquid intended to impregnate the charcoal but the users

  These barbecues additionally include an adjustment device making it possible to

  vary the size of the lights and therefore the air flow.

  Air thus flows from bottom to top through charcoal and therefore facilitates combustion.

  In order to facilitate ignition, it is known to provide, immediately under the receptacle receiving the charcoal and above the lights, a drawer (FR-A- 2.815.239

  or FR-A-2.815.532) whose pierced bottom allows to receive a fuel plate. It is then much easier to partially pull out the drawer, to place a

  tablet, turn it on and return the drawer.

  The flames then being located immediately under the charcoal, this

  then ignites quickly fanned by the air flowing from bottom to top.

  According to a first solution FR-A-2.815.239, the drawer is guided in

  slides grabbing the side edges of the drawer.

  During the manufacture of barbecues, the fixing of the slides is not easy and these slides tend to deform under the effect of heat.

  According to a second solution, the drawer is carried by a U-shaped plate so that the two wings of the U guide the drawer with the bottom of the U

  serving as support for the underside of the drawer.

  The bottom of this U must also be provided with perforations which must be positioned opposite the perforations in the drawer.

  This plate also has a wing for fixing it inside the tube.

  The most annoying thing about this last solution is the need to have

  the plate and drawer holes.

  The invention proposes to provide a new solution to these ignition devices 20 intended to equip barbecues.

  To this end, the subject of the invention is an ignition device comprising a drawer which, housed in a tube, is guided in translation, this drawer comprising a bottom and a front face, this ignition device being characterized in that : - on the one hand the drawer has at the bottom, at least one wing which extends in the axis of movement of the drawer, this wing having an elongated guide lumen and - on the other hand at least two perpendicular generatrices to the axis of movement are engaged in the light these generators being on the one hand spaced, along the axis of movement of the drawer, by a value greater than the height of the light in order to avoid tilting of the drawer and on the other hand

  located closest to the front of the drawer when the drawer is closed.

  The invention also relates to the barbecue equipped with the ignition device.

  The invention will be better understood with the aid of the description below made by way of

  non-limiting example which represents - Figure 1: a barbecue, - Figure 2 a horizontal section showing the ignition device,

  - Figure 3 a perspective view of an ignition device.

  Referring to the drawing we see an ignition device 1 intended to equip

a barbecue 2.

  This barbecue includes a receptacle 3 or brazier capable of receiving the charcoal

Of wood.

  This receptacle comprises at its base a grid or a pierced bottom which may be removable.

  Under the receptacle is arranged an ignition device 1.

  This ignition device comprises a drawer 4 which, housed in a tube 5, is

  guided in translation, this drawer 4 comprising a bottom 4A and a front face 4B.

  Under the ignition device, lights are provided in the tube in order to produce an air supply which will pass through the ignition device and then the carbon of

wood contained in the receptacle.

  The bottom of the drawer is therefore pierced with lights 7 for the passage of air.

  The tube is suspended from the brazier or serves as a column carrying said brazier.

  In the latter case the base of the column comprises a foot 8.

  According to a characteristic of the ignition device: - on the one hand the drawer has at the bottom, at least one wing 9 which extends in the axis of movement of the drawer, this wing 9 having a slot 9A for elongated guide and - on the other hand, integral with the tube, at least two generators 10 perpendicular to the axis of movement are engaged in the lumen, these generators being on the one hand spaced apart, along the axis of movement of the drawer, 30 value E greater than the height H of the light in order to avoid tilting of the drawer and on the other hand located as close as possible to the front face 4B

  The elongated lumen 9A extends substantially from the front face of the drawer to the rear face. These generators are used to support the drawer and keep it in a plane that

in its displacement.

  These generators are carried by two rods or preferably are presented

by a blade 11.

  The extent of the rods or the blade being reduced relative to the section of the tube 5 and / or of the openings 7 arranged in the bottom of the drawer, these means do not interfere

  no air circulation through the drawer.

  Preferably instead of one wing 9, the drawer is provided with two wings 9 which

  extend downward from the two side edges of the drawer.

  Each of the wings will have a light 9A which extends over almost all

the length of the wings.

  The front face of the tube then has a cutout 12 for the overall height of the drawer and a notch 13 or two, oriented downwards for the passage

wings.

  For mounting the rods or the blade, the tube has passages 24 for supporting the generators. The blade can be bent on one side to form

  a head 15 and on the other side presented a hole 16 for the passage of a pin.

  The edges of the blade will preferably be rounded or folded back and so will

even for elongated light.

  The thickness of the blade or the rods is, apart from the operating clearance, equal

at the height of the light.

  With this technical solution, the drawer cannot be completely removed unless the blade 11 has previously been dismantled.

  In case of replacement this blade as well as the drawer are easily removed and

put back in place.

  An advantage of this type of mounting is that the drawer has a freedom of movement from left to right which allows during ignition to move it, the front face however still closing the cut in the tube, and therefore of create

several ignition points.
