Abstract

The present invention relates to a display cabinet for objects, such as for example cosmetic products.   The object of the present invention is to eliminate the above drawback. by proposing a display cabinet of objects, such as for example bottles of cosmetic products, comprising two vertical side walls integral with one another, several tiered drawers which can contain objects and mounted sliding between the two side walls, and lighting elements connected to a power source by electrically conductive cables and arranged in locations relative to the side walls making it possible to light the drawers respectively in particular in their open position, and which is characterized in that each drawer is slidably fitted into a support compartment fixed to the two side walls, the compartment comprising, integral with this, a fixed means for supporting and housing a lighting element projecting in front of the side walls below the drawer without interfering its sliding and in which is housed and fixed at least part of the connecting cable of

  the lighting element to the power source.

  The piece of furniture which will be described can be used for the presentation for sale of bottles of cosmetic products which can be packaged in cardboard packaging of parallelepiped shape, but it is understood that it can be applied to the presentation of any

other type of objects or articles.

  As shown in the figures, the display cabinet comprises two vertical side walls 1, integral with each other in the upper part by a vertical front panel 2 fixed to the corresponding front edges of the walls 1 and in the lower part on a base or base of support 3, other connecting elements can be

  Each side wall 1 has the general shape of a right triangle whose hypotenuse constitutes the

  The shelf 12 of each compartment 9 contains therein the corresponding lighting element 7 preferably constituted by a fluorescent neon tube extending transversely to the side plates 10 along the front end of the shelf 12. This end has a cross-sectional shape

semi-circular convex arch.

  A screen in the form of a cylindrical cap 13 made of a translucent material is fixed to the front end of the shelf 12 by marrying the latter and extending practically over the entire width of this shelf. The screen 13 makes it possible to diffuse the light emitted by the neon tube 7 towards the drawer 5 located below the tablet at a certain distance from the latter. The power cable 8 of each lighting tube 7 housed in its shelf 12 is itself housed and fixed in the shelf 12 by extending along the internal face of the corresponding side wall 12a of the shelf 12. In the case where the power source of each lighting tube 7 is formed by the sector whose connection socket is located behind the display cabinet, the cable 8 exits from the shelf 12 extending transversely to the wall corresponding side 1 of the cabinet, preferably extending approximately along the lower edge of the side plate 10 of the compartment 9 in a location which does not interfere with the opening and closing movements of the corresponding drawer 5.   Each drawer 5 comprises two compartments respectively front 14 and rear 15

in solidarity with each other.

  The front part 14 can be used to accommodate samples or test products corresponding to the products contained in the conditioned bottles housed in the rear part 15 of the drawer 5, the samples housed in the front part 14 being visible even in

  closed position of drawer 5 in its compartment 9.

  The rear part 15 of each drawer 5 is slidably mounted in the associated compartment 9 by means of two slides 16 in which two strips 17 can slide, respectively, forming a slide. In the present case, the two slides 16 are fixed respectively to the two internal faces facing the side plates 10 of the compartment 9, while the two strips 17 are fixed respectively to the opposite external faces of the side plates 18 constituting the part compartmentalized rear of drawer 5, a transverse rear plate 19 being fixed to the two side plates 18. However, the two slides 16 can be fixed to the side plates 18 of drawer 5 while the two strips 17 can be fixed to the side walls 10

compartment 9.

  The bottom wall 20 of each drawer 5 can be inclined downwards from the rear in front of this drawer to allow the products present in the rear part 15 to be stored by being pressed against each other by gravity. In the case of products packaged in cardboard boxes of parallelepiped shape, the products are arranged in several rows in an upright position, the products of each row being pressed against each other face to face.   The front compartmentalized part 14 of each drawer 5 consists of two side walls 22, of a transverse rear wall 23 connecting the two side walls 22 and adjacent to the front wall 21 of the rear compartmentalized part 15, and a horizontal bottom wall 24. As is more apparent from FIG. 3, the width of the front compartmentalized part 14 is greater than the width of the compartmentalized part

rear 15.

  The compartmentalized part 14 also comprises two front walls 25, 26 arranged transversely between the two side walls 22, respectively an oblique wall 25 inclined downwards from the back in front of the compartmentalized part 14 and a vertical wall 26 connecting to the wall. 25. This figure shows that the bottom wall 24 of the front part 14 is arranged above the outside face of the shelf 12 parallel to the latter in a clearance allowing moving the drawer 5 above the shelf 12 without contacting it. The cover thus defined makes it possible to protect the user from any contact with the front end of a shelf 12 which can be brought to a relatively high temperature due to the heat given off.
