Abstract

  The above arrangements make it possible to compensate for the manufacturing tolerances so that in all cases the tongue can bear on a sufficient surface of the lower edge of the keeper to prevent the

  sliding sash lift.

  In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the anti-

  lifting for sliding sash, comprises a metal headrest 1, intended to be fixed in a groove in the front upright 2 of a sliding sash. This headrest 1 comprises at least one longitudinal lumen 3 cut out from said headrest, in which a locking element 4 is engaged in sliding fashion. One of the ends of this element 4 is connected to at least one locking rod (not represented) extending in the direction of the headrest 1, the other end of said locking element 4 being able to engage in a keeper 5

  fixed opposite said front upright 2 of the sliding leaf.

  According to the invention, the lower edge of the light 3 carries a

  tongue 6 cut and folded at 90 relative to the front face 1 of the headrest 1.

  Thus, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the tongue 6 protrudes under the lower edge 5a of the keeper 5 to prevent the lifting of the sliding leaf. The keeper 5 has on its lower edge a flat 5a on which is likely to come to bear the tongue 6 in the event of an attempted lifting

of the sliding sash.

  Preferably, as indicated in FIG. 2, the length of the tongue 6 is o substantially equal to the width of the flat part 5a measured in the direction of the

  tongue 6, added to the normal rebate clearance.

  As shown in Figure 2, the rear face of the keeper 5 can rest on

  one or more shims 7 for adjusting the rebate light j.

  Thanks to this arrangement, the tongue 6 is not likely to abut against the

  surface 8 on which the keeper 5 is fixed.

  Likewise, the tongue 6 is long enough to cover

  substantially the entire surface of the flat 5a.

  The realization of the tongue 6 is extremely simple.

  During the manufacture of conventional headboards, the lumen 3 is produced by stamping or stamping, an operation in which all the metal corresponds
