Abstract
Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1> <Desc / Clms Page number 1>
The present invention relates to a new type of roof ladder which can be used in particular by roofers and DIY enthusiasts.
This system provides a solution to a problem of safety and convenience in installing conventional roof ladders 5) The conventional roof ladder, flat, two parallel bars plus rung, does not provide a sufficient level of protection. Indeed, it is dangerous if it is just placed on the roof (risk of slipping). Similarly, if it is used correctly, it highlights its main handicap, that is to say the difficulty and slowness of installation (placing cords around the fireplaces, delicate and dangerous wedging on the ridge tiles, ...) 10) The device according to the invention was therefore born from the following reflection, is it not possible to create a roof ladder, sufficient in itself, which could have all the guarantees of safety, stay in reasonable weight limits, which could be implemented by a single user
This device can be used interchangeably by professionals and individuals
The device according to the invention is therefore a type of roof ladder which is sufficient in itself to hold on 15) the covers while allowing the work in complete safety of the users, and having a simple installation which does not requires only one manipulator
The device according to the invention also has the advantage of being able to be put in place even for a very short time, given its ease and speed in the ease of implementation., And the absence of external element (strings, hooks, ...) which accentuates its usefulness for punctual repairs 20) Another object of the invention is to propose a reasonable manufacturing cost, all the parts being manufactured with conventional dimensions, and. the invention does not have complicated parts
The device according to the invention is a type of roof ladder which is sufficient in itself to hold on the covers while allowing the work in complete safety of the users, and having a simple installation which requires only a single manipulator; characterized by the fact that it presents; 25) A room similar to a classic roof ladder with, however, two symmetrical protrusions at its ends
A set of parts allowing the main part to be placed on the cover.
The device according to the invention will be better understood in the light of the attached drawing boards, the figures
1 to 5 illustrate all of the component parts of the device in a particular embodiment 30).
According to the invention, the device firstly comprises a part (1) in Figure 1 shown partially in Figure 2 being in fact similar to a conventional roof ladder with however two symmetrical protuberances at its ends
According to the invention, the device then comprises two similar parts (2) FIG. 1 shown 35) entirely in FIG. 3, intended to be fixed on the part 1 by means of an axis which allows the parts (2) to be rotated by relative to the part (1) similar slides (4) figure 1 of which one is shown entirely in figure 4
<Desc/Clms Page number 2> <Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A guide rope for the assembly (5) figure 1 (Not shown in detail, because it is a classic rope without specifics) 5) Two return springs (8) figure 6 allowing the return to the initial position of the parts 2 compared to part 1 (Not shown in detail, because they are conventional springs without specifics)
The cover of the house has the number (7) figure 1
Two similar conventional casters (3) in Figure 1 (not shown in detail) allow the entire device to be displaced on the cover 10) All of these parts are shown in a particular embodiment, but the assembly may be presented in various dimensions and materials according to the desired level of security and the dimensions of the covers to be produced
Figures 6 to 9 illustrate the installation of the system
FIG. 6 shows the whole of the device in place on the cover of the dwelling 15) The user, after having put the whole of the device in the lower part of the cover, pushes it, the whole of the device moving on the cover (7) by means of the rollers (3)
The user maintains the assembly in the position shown in Figure 6 by stretching the rope (6)
Figure 7 shows the system during installation: When the rollers (3) are no more than a few centimeters from the ridge, the user releases the tension on the rope (6), 20) It should be noted that the part 2 moves in rotation by user action on the rope (6)
The weight of the part 1 and the presence of the return springs (8) causing the parts (2) to rotate about the axis (B) relative to the part (1), the latter thus comes to rest on the cover
The parts (2) are kept in their rotational movement by the slides (4) which suppress the other degrees of freedom 25) The slides (4) are fixed to the part 1 by means of the parts (5), the thickness of these determining the free space between the part (1) and the slides (4)
Figure 8 shows that the parts (2) return to their rest position by means of the low stiffness springs (8)
FIG. 9 represents the final positioning of the assembly, the user pulls the assembly towards him, the 30) piece (1) is put in place and rests on the ridge thanks to its protrusions, the tension of the string being zero
The ladder is removed in the opposite direction, the user pushes the assembly upwards by some ten centimeters, he pulls on the rope (6), the part (2) engages its rotation around the axis (B) relative to the workpiece (1) 35) The action of the user on the rope allows the workpiece (2) to rest on the cover (7) and causes the entire system to become detached versus coverage
<Desc/Clms Page number 3> <Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The assembly rests on the rollers (3) allowing the user to descend it after having attached the rope to maintain the tension
The device according to the invention is used quickly and conveniently.
Figure 2 réduction de 10
Figures 3 et 4 réduction de 6
Figure 5 réduction de 1,5
Figures 6 à 9 réduction de 6It allows the installation and removal of the roof ladder by a single user in complete safety, the latter 5) remaining at the bottom of the cover for all installation operations
Once the system in place on the ridge, the user can work safely, the part (1) being in abutment on the ridge, and held by the weight of the user, the assembly cannot slide
This system therefore has a very high level of security, presenting a correct manufacturing cost due to the simplicity of the parts present 10) The weight is not penalizing either, the assembly can be made of aluminum
The system, shown in Figures 6 to 9, is in place on a roof with a 45 degree slope, but it can be used on steeper roofs, with the same level of security.
In addition, the only contacts between the entire device and the cover being limited to a flat support during use, and a contact via two rollers during installation, it does not 15) present no risk of deterioration for the cover itself By way of non-limiting example, the dimensions of the parts would be in relation to the drawings, knowing that these are presented with a reduction of:
Figure 2 reduction by 10
Figures 3 and 4 reduction of 6
Figure 5 1.5 reduction
Figures 6 to 9 reduction of 6
