Definitions
- the invention relates to a storage cabin for windsurfing or a similar nautical sport device such as for example a "surfboard", etc.
- the invention particularly relates to a type of cabin that is easy to install on the edge of the coast. or a body of water and whose use is facilitated and rationalized by a certain number of equipment.
- Windsurfing has become in a few years the most popular nautical sport. Despite the relative lightness of the equipment, which is one of the reasons for its success, the need to bring windsurfing in the morning and to win it in the evening is felt by the holidaymaker as an unpleasant constraint. They are often tempted to approach their car near the coast despite the risk of silting up, in some cases. Leaving equipment near water at night only poses one serious risk: theft.
- the invention aims to solve this problem.
- An installation for storing a windsurfing board in a vertical position is known from FR-A-2 499 016. This installation comprises a lateral passage opening for the windsurfing board and closing means.
- the improvements which are the subject of the present invention aim to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks.
- the invention therefore relates to a cabin for storing a windsurfing board, open at least partially at its upper part and comprising a door, characterized in that it comprises a cradle for holding the windsurfing board, hinged mounted in the vicinity of one of its ends, at the base of said cabin, so as to be able to tilt by the opening of said door outside said cabin.
- the cradle is preferably provided with means for attaching the board and the mast, preventing them from being stolen by the upper part of the cabin.
- a holding cradle 25 of the board 26 is articulated in the vicinity of one of its ends, at the base of the cabin 11, so as to be able to tilt by the opening of the door , outside said cabin.
- This articulation is done simply by means of a horizontal axis 28 mounted between the side walls 14 and 15.
- the cradle mainly comprises two substantially parallel uprights 27 between which one can slide the board 26.
- This cradle is almost entirely made of bent tube so as to minimize the number of welds during manufacturing.
- the two uprights 27 are produced from the same tube welded at two points spaced from the axis 28.
- This end portion 29 itself comprises a double bend 30 materializing a support zone for the mast 32 (FIG. 1) which can thus be positioned parallel to the board:
- the other extreme part 35 of the cradle, near axis 28, can also be advantageously bent in the other direction, as illustrated, to facilitate the positioning of the board.
- the cradle 25 includes means for attaching the board 26.
- it is a strap 36 (one could also provide a chain) fixed to the two uprights 27 and capable of being introduced into a hole of plate 26, for example its drift hole.
- the strap 36 is attached to each upright 27 (possibly adjustable) so as to complete the cradle.
- Mast locking means 32 are also provided at the base of the cabin, that is to say in an inaccessible place once the door is closed.
- these means are materialized on the cradle and in the vicinity of the axis 28. It is possible to provide any means for clamping the mast, of the self-locking type under the action of a force exerted according to the longitudinal direction of said mast.
- a block 37 of flexible material rubber for example
- the external shape of this block is drawn with divergent walls to allow its embedding between the end part 35 of the cradle, forming a stop, and another stop 38 fixed to the axis 28.
- the end of the mast is inserted in the block 37 , then the assembly is put in place between the stops 35 and 38. From this moment any traction in the longitudinal direction of the mast only confirms the locking thereof.
- the operating bar 39 is in turn simply fixed along one of the side walls inside the storage space of the cabin. It could also be placed laterally along the board 26 and held by the strap 36.
- the use of the cabin is very simple and follows clearly from the above description.
- the door 17 being open, the cradle 25 is lowered until it rests on the ground, as shown in FIG. 1.
- the board 26 is placed between the uprights 27.
- the sail is dismantled or simply wrapped around the mast 32 and the block 37 is force-fitted at one end of the mast.
- the assembly is then blocked between the two stops, as illustrated in FIG. 2a. From this moment, the board 26 and the mast 32 rest side by side in the cradle.
- the strap 36 is passed through the fin hole of the board 26 and buckled on itself; it also encloses the mast 32. It then suffices to straighten the cradle 25 towards the interior of the cabin and to close the door 17.
- Other locking means (padlock for example) of the cradle 25 can be provided in the vertical position, in case the door 17 comes to be forced.
- the means for fixing the board and the mast to the cradle also admit of numerous variants, in particular depending on the desired degree of security.
- FIG. 4 illustrates the possibilities of assembling several cabins 11.
- the trapezoidal section of each cabin makes it possible in fact to envisage a large number of assembly configurations.
- the cabins 11 are assembled side to side, the cabs are in alignment.
- the fact of having several adjacent cabins 11a or 11b in the same direction makes it possible to initiate curves. This facilitates the integration of a set of cabins at a particular site while avoiding the monotony of an exclusively linear assembly.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a storage cabin for windsurfing or a similar nautical sport device such as for example a "surfboard", etc. The invention particularly relates to a type of cabin that is easy to install on the edge of the coast. or a body of water and whose use is facilitated and rationalized by a certain number of equipment.
Windsurfing has become in a few years the most popular nautical sport. The invention aims to solve this problem. An installation for storing a windsurfing board in a vertical position is known from FR-A-2 499 016. This installation comprises a lateral passage opening for the windsurfing board and closing means. The improvements which are the subject of the present invention aim to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks.
In this spirit, the invention therefore relates to a cabin for storing a windsurfing board, open at least partially at its upper part and comprising a door, characterized in that it comprises a cradle for holding the windsurfing board, hinged mounted in the vicinity of one of its ends, at the base of said cabin, so as to be able to tilt by the opening of said door outside said cabin.
The cradle is preferably provided with means for attaching the board and the mast, preventing them from being stolen by the upper part of the cabin.
- La figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'une cabine de rangement d'une planche à voile selon l'invention, représentée ouverte avec le berceau précité en position de chargement ;
- La figure 2a est une vue de détail en perspective d'une partie du berceau, montrant un système de verrouillage du mât ;
- La figure 2b est une vue de dessus du même système de verrouillage, le mât étant représenté en traits interrompus ;
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a storage cabin for a windsurf board according to the invention, shown open with the aforementioned cradle in the loading position;
- Figure 2a is a detailed perspective view of part of the cradle, showing a mast locking system;
- Figure 2b is a top view of the same locking system, the mast being shown in broken lines;
- Figure 3 is a top view of the cabin; and
- FIG. 4 schematically illustrates in top view, an example of assembly of several cabins.
- The
cabin 11 illustrated mainly in FIG. 1 essentially consists of abase 12, intended to be securely fixed to the ground by any suitable means, of a raisedfloor 13, for example of the openwork lattice type, of two 14, 15, awalls side rear wall 16 and adoor 17 hinged to thewall 15 and closing against the free edge of thewall 14. This door is naturally provided with a security lock, not shown. The assembly therefore forms an independent module with generally trapezoidal (or triangular) section. The cabin is designed to house the board and mast in particular vertically, but it does not have to be as high as these two elements. Consequently, theceiling 18 of the cabin has awide notch 19 designed and dimensioned to allow passage to all known types of boards and masts. This notch opens in the direction of thedoor 17 and the latter comprises at its upper part ahorizontal flap 20, itself scalloped, protruding towards the storage space of the cabin to close it partially in the upper part, in parallel on theceiling 18. Thus, once the board and the mast are mounted vertically in the cabin and the door is closed and locked, no one can enter the cabin by sliding from above. For more security, theceiling 18 can be supplemented by a plate with a curved border 22 (FIG. 3) fixed in an adjustable manner, thanks tooblong holes 23, in theceiling 18. The plate is fixed once and for all depending on the section of the user's board. The positioning is adjusted by judging, leaving as little space as possible between the edge of theplate 23 and the board.
According to an important feature of the invention, a
The other
The
A partir de ce moment toute traction dans le sens longitudinal du mât ne fait que confirmer le verrouillage de celui-ci.Mast locking means 32 are also provided at the base of the cabin, that is to say in an inaccessible place once the door is closed. In the example shown, these means are materialized on the cradle and in the vicinity of the
The use of the cabin is very simple and follows clearly from the above description. The
