Abstract

The assembly component for fencing rails (1) and posts (2) consists of two metal trough-section elements (3, 4), especially with a curved cross-section, welded together at right angles so that one engages with rails and the other with the post. Each of the elements has an elongated slot (8) for a fixing bolt. The assembly component can be made in different shapes, e.g. a T-shape and an L-shape, and can be made to join rails set on top of or alongside posts.

  The present invention relates to an assembly part for producing fences and, more particularly, fences of the kind of those

  surrounding, for example, the equestrian careers.

  Such fences are made by posts, regularly spaced, joined, at their upper part, at least, by beams. The posts and stringers are made of wood and have, in general, a circular section so as not to have sharp edges liable to cause injury to either the rider,

either to the mount.

  In general, the heddles all have the same length, because they are made in the factory, and two consecutive heddles are fixed to the upper part of the same post. Besides that it is always difficult to fix a circular piece on a flat piece (the end of the post), the difficulty increases when it comes to fixing two. Added to this is the fact that, for obvious reasons, it is practically impossible to space the posts in a regular manner, a difference of several centimeters being common. The posts are installed at intervals of two to three meters and a difference of a few centimeters is not visible. On the other hand, if we know that the average diameter of the posts is of the order of ten to fifteen centimeters, this difference is very important at the level of the fixing of the rails, one being able to cover the part

  top of the post intended to receive the end of the adjacent rail.

  The present invention, which overcomes these drawbacks, relates to an assembly part characterized in that it is formed by the association of two parts, in the form of a gutter, each capable of conforming to the profile of

  the closing member (post or beam) against which it is fixed.

  The present invention will be better understood from the description which follows

  made with reference to the accompanying drawings by way of indicative example only, in which - Figure 1 is an elevational view showing the type of fence to be erected - Figure 2 is an elevational view of an embodiment of the assembly part of the invention; FIG. 3 is the partial top view of FIG. 2; FIG. 4 is the left view of FIG. 2; FIG 5 is a sectional view taken along the line VV of Figure 4 - Figure 6 is a view, similar to that 4, showing an alternative embodiment; FIG 7 is a view, similar to that 4, showing another embodiment;

  Referring to Figure 1, we see that the problem to be solved consists in building a fence constituted by the fixing of rails l a, 1 b, at the top

of posts 2a, 2b, 2c.

  The difficulties encountered are inherent in the section of the materials used, the posts and beams are circular, and the fact that it is impossible to implant the posts while maintaining an equal distance between them, the experience

  having shown that a variation of several centimeters was common.

  The assembly part of the invention consists of the association, rigidly, of two parts 3 and 4, each being in the form of a gutter capable of conforming to the profile of the member, 1 or 2, against which she is

  fixed. It appears from the drawings that each of parts 3 and 4 is constituted by a

  straight cylindrical surface with circular director.

  Parts 3 and 4 are assembled so that the generators of one are orthogonal to the generators of the other. These parts being metallic

  in the example shown, the assembly is carried out by a weld bead.

  The assembly piece is fixed by bolts,

  not shown, the axes of which are shown diagrammatically in 5 and 6.

  The fixing bolts pass through parts 3 and 4 through

openings 7 and 8, oblong.

  The axis 8a of the openings 8 extends parallel to the generatrices of the part 3, therefore parallel to the axis of the corresponding heald while that 7a of the opening 7 extends orthogonally to the generatrices of the part 4, therefore

  orthogonally to the axis of the corresponding post.

  Figure 6 shows an alternative embodiment of the assembly part of Figures 2 to 5. According to this variant, the part 3a, intended to be fixed to the beams, is arranged laterally. In this way, it is possible to make a fence of which one face is devoid of metallic element, the head of the assembly bolts

  can be embedded in posts or rails.

  Figures 7 and 8 show another embodiment of the assembly part more particularly intended for the fixing of intermediate rails or for the realization of the angles of the fence and, in general, for fixing on

  the same post of two beams which are not aligned.

  This assembly part consists of two parts 9 and 10, similar to those 3 and 4, assembled at right angles, as shown in the drawings, and so as to

  that the hollow parts are arranged outwards.

  Up to now, we have described an assembly part intended for fences

  whose axes of posts and beams were in the same plane.

  For the realization of riding careers, it is desirable, for

  safety reasons, that the beams are deported towards the interior of the quarry.

  FIG. 9 illustrates an assembly part making it possible to achieve this

  result using parts 3b and 4b, almost identical to those 3a and 4.

  FIG. 10 illustrates another embodiment making it possible to obtain a

  greater offset and intended for fixing intermediate rails.

  This embodiment is obtained from two parts 1 a and 11 b, part 1 1 a having openings similar to that 8 of part 4 and part 1 b having openings similar to those 7 of part 3. It should be noted that the assembly part of FIG. 10 can be obtained from identical blanks. In the example shown, the part 1 1 b is fixed substantially in the middle of the height of the part 1 1 a, but it is possible to produce an assembly part

  whose part 1 1 b would be fixed to the upper part of part 1 1 a.

Claims (4)

  1-Piece of assembly for the production of fences comprising beams (1) and posts (2), characterized in that it is formed by the association of two pieces in the form of gutter (3, 3a, 9, 3b, 1 1b and 4, 10, 4b, 1 1 a), each capable of conforming to the profile of the closing member on which it is fixed. 2-Piece according to claim 1, characterized the generators of each   its constituent parts are orthogonal.   3-Piece according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that   that each part is fixed to the corresponding closing member by means of a bolt passing through an oblong opening made on the part corresponding.   4-piece according to claim 3, characterized in that the part to be fixed on a heald has an oblong opening whose axis (7a) extends parallel to said beam.   -Piece according to any one of claims 3 and 4, characterized in   that the part to be fixed against a post has an opening   oblong whose axis (8a) extends orthogonally to the axis of said post.
