Abstract

The fastening for two adjacent components with end flanges (3, 4) and a seal (7) between their contact surfaces (5, 6) consists of a V-section collar (10) shaped to engage with the inclined surfaces of the two flanges and hold them together. The collar has open ends with lugs for a tensioning bolt and nut, and the two flanges have stepped edges (16, 17) to engage with one another.
