Abstract

The bodywork element comprises a spoiler (1) located between two body surfaces (21,22). There is a housing (3) in which the spoiler is received in a retracted position. A spring (4) acts on the spoiler to push it into a deployed position outside the housing. Guides such as a hinged panel (50) guide the spoiler between retracted and deployed positions and a retaining cable (6) holds the spoiler in its retracted position.
