Abstract

HELMET PROTECTION FOR BACKPACK

  The invention relates to a device for protecting and storing safety helmets for backpacks, mountain bags. The practice of mountain sports and hiking, on foot or by bicycle, requires the practitioner to follow more and more the rules of

  safety with in particular the wearing of a helmet.

  The problem which is posed resides in the fact that this helmet can constitute a troublesome, bulky product or object, when it is not worn directly by the user. This situation is common at times

  rest or transport for example.

  PRIOR ART: According to known practice, and to avoid possible loss, the helmets are fixed by fasteners or straps to the backpacks but are in this case always subject to a rocking movement. This situation is not appropriate because there is first of all a discomfort when carrying the bag and on the other hand the fact of rocking can cause shocks, be a source of slight concussions, and scratch or otherwise deteriorate, for example, the face

outer surface of the helmet.

  Aim sought: The aim sought according to the invention was to remedy these drawbacks by taking into account the incompressible volume of a safety helmet.

  The storage of the helmet inside the backpack was hardly possible due to the volume required at the expense of other objects. Lateral storage in a pocket with a suitable protective net is also not possible, resulting in a substantial outgrowth of the bag and therefore a source of discomfort. Furthermore, the existing pockets are not

suitable for such storage.

  The applicant's approach was therefore to move towards a new design of a mountain backpack, hiking, which is arranged to allow the integration of the helmet taking into account the volume

  of the bag and its upper part with the closing flap.

  According to a first characteristic, the backpack is remarkable in that it comprises, from its upper flap capable of closing off the backpack, a textile means arranged to surround the helmet and ensure its maintenance and hold, said textile means having one or more zones of connection by sewing or the like with the upper flap of the backpack and at least one zone of temporary attachment with associated quick fixing means

  In order to make the object of the invention more concrete, it is described

  now in a nonlimiting manner illustrated in the figures of the drawings.

  The backpack, mountain and hiking, is referenced as a whole by (1). This bag is of any configuration, volume, with appropriate storage arrangements. Conventionally to ensure the closure of the bag, there is provided a flap (2) forming a hat of any configuration, dimensions, the connection of the flap with the body (la) of the bag being obtained using any means of the closure type. fast, slide,

laces or whatever.

  According to the invention, the flap (2) forming a cap in its visible upper part is arranged to receive a textile means (3) having connecting zones (3a) fixed relative to said flap in zones (2a) and at least one fast and temporary attachment area (4) with a

  means (5) associated with the flap forming a hat.

  More particularly, the textile means (3) is capable of deviating in a limited and controlled manner relative to the plane of the flap forming a hat to create a space and storage volume allowing the insertion of a safety helmet (6 ) in order to protect it, said helmet coming to marry by its peripheral contour (6a) said flap forming a cap (2) and authorizing if necessary a more or less significant penetration of the

  contents of the bag in the internal volume of said helmet.

  According to the invention, the textile support present in an implementation

  advantageous several branches, and for example 4 branches (3b - 3c - 3d -

  3e) more particularly arranged two by two (3b - 3c) (3d - 3e), in opposition and fixed on opposite lines of the flap forming a hat. The connection between the branches is made by wide rounded (3g) revealing the helmet shell. The connection of said branches of the textile support with the flap is carried out by sewing (7) or any equivalent means. The connection between the front branches (3b - 3c) can be carried out in a curvilinear configuration. In the rear part of the textile means corresponding to the rear part of the backpack, there is provided at least one means (5) for quick and temporary attachment. The width (L1) between the two rear connection zones (3d - 3e) of the textile means with the flap is such that it allows the insertion and sliding of the safety helmet. On the other hand, the textile means (3) is extended at the rear to form a fifth branch (3f) with which the quick fixing zone is associated. In other words, it comprises a male or female attachment means (5a) linked to the textile means and a complementary or female attachment means (5b) or

  male linked to the hat flap.

  More generally, the textile means is fixedly linked to the flap forming a hat by n branches, two, three, four or more and by at least one branch including the temporary fastener, the assembly and the combination of these different fixed or removable branches allowing ensure the fitting or removal of the helmet, its maintenance in position, by playing on

  the elasticity of the woven or nonwoven material making up the textile support.

  The connection areas of the branches have a

  more or less pronounced curvilinear configuration.

  Thus, according to the invention, the safety helmet is perfectly held in all circumstances. It fits into the general volume of the backpack, mountain or hiking. Its installation is extremely fast and does not generate any additional volume or discomfort in the

  manipulation of the backpack by the operator.

  We also emphasize the easy installation of the textile support on the top part of the upper flap of the backpack. The configuration of the textile support in n branches is suitable for all flap profiles forming the hat of the backpack, the number of branches being arbitrary by including fixed zones and at least one opening and removal zone to allow

the insertion of the aforementioned helmet.

CLAIMS -1- Backpack characterized in that it comprises, from its upper flap capable of closing the backpack, a textile means (3) arranged to surround the helmet and ensure its maintenance and hold, said means textile having one or more connecting zones (3a) by sewing or otherwise with the upper flap (2) of the backpack and at least one temporary attachment zone (4) with quick fastening means (5) associated with said flap . -2 - Backpack according to claim 1, characterized in that the textile means consists of a texture with elastic capacity for deformation. i5 -3- Backpack according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the textile support (3) has several branches, for example 4 branches (3b - 3c - 3d - 3e) more particularly arranged two to two (3b - 3c) (3d - 3e), in opposition and fixed on opposite lines of the flap forming a hat, the connection between the branches being effected by broad rounded edges (3g) revealing the shell of the helmet, and in this that the connection of said branches of the textile support with the flap is carried out by sewing (7) or any equivalent means, the connection between the front branches (3b - 3c) can be carried out in a curvilinear configuration, and in that in the part rear of the textile means corresponding to the rear part of the backpack, there is provided at least one means (5) for quick and temporary attachment. 7 2805441   -4- Backpack according to claim 3, characterized in that the textile means (3) extends at the rear to constitute a fifth   branch (3f) with which is associated the quick attachment zone.
