Mais cette solution comporte des inconvénients majeurs : son coût, la sensation de paroi froide, des fissurations ou autres défauts de mise en oeuvre qui diminuent ses performances d'isolation thermique et/ou d'étanchéité et/ou de résistance et qui nécessite généralement un mur de refend intermédiaire entraînant des contraintes d'aménagement et prolongeant la réalisation de la construction.
