Abstract

The storage tray (20) is used in a vehicle which has a cavity (2) formed in the luggage compartment for the spare wheel (10). The storage tray is carried by the spare wheel and the base (21) of the tray has an external bearing surface (23) that is in contact against the rim (11) of the wheel and also carries a retainer that engages with the cavity. The retainer uses clips that engage with the centering boss of the wheel formed in the cavity.
