Abstract

The shutter has a group- of armoured transverse strips (23) each beanbag rigid and having a hook (4) at the end extending between the edges (7) of the lateral slide rails on a vertical plane or close to the vertical. The shutter can roll up on a shaft (5) at its upper edge. Each strip can have two sections (2,3) which grip the cord between the m and of which the total thickness (LP) is greater than the space remaining between the edges of the lateral slide rails. The edges of the strip can have a width (L) greater than the space remaining between the edges.

Roll-up reinforced windbreak curtain
The present invention relates to a device for winding a windbreak closure curtain, rollable operating on a vertical plane, horizontal stiffeners to allow it to have effective stability against high wind speeds while allowing it to wrap around a rotating axis located in the upper part to ensure its discharge during the opening phase.

 The “windable” windbreak stiffeners presented hitherto are not equipped with any stiffener or stabilization means when they are deployed, in the closing phase. This process has the disadvantage, when the wind speeds are high, of not offering any serious sealing, the curtain swelling under the pressure of the wind thus releasing the lateral and lower parts of the curtains.

 Another version consists in arming the windbreak curtain with metal stiffeners of relatively large section at regular intervals. These stiffeners have the advantage of giving the curtain thus reinforced a very good resistance to wind pressure, but nevertheless has the drawback of a discharge in the upper part with high overall dimensions, the said stiffeners having to be stored on a vertical plane, in the upper part of the curtain thus formed. This process offers the major drawback of limiting the height of the passage.

 As a general rule, windbreak curtains used to close entrances reserved for vehicles or animals must be able to exhibit perfect stability at high wind speeds and be able to offer a reduced storage volume at the top.

The device according to the invention makes it possible to combine these two advantages. According to a first feature of the invention, the curtain intended to be rolled up in the opening phase is armed with more or less regular spaces of thin stiffeners, provided at their ends with hooks, circulating in two lateral slides, including at minus one of the edges is folded inwards, the said fold being intended to retain the end of the said stiffeners which would be flexed in their length under the pressure of high wind speeds. According to another feature of the invention, each stiffener is composed of two parts, one inside, the other outside, fitting one into
the other by pinching the windbreak net, these two parts then being made integral. According to another feature of the invention, the stiffeners thus formed have a thickness greater than the space remaining between the edges of the lateral slides. The hooks located at the ends have another particularity of pinching the net by adapting to the longest part of the stiffener circulating between the edges of the lateral slides.

 According to another feature of the invention, the thickness of the body of the hooks situated at the end is less than the space remaining between the edges of the slides.

 According to another characteristic of the invention, the two parts making up the stiffener having a substantial difference in thickness, the hooks fixed at their ends have a thickness equal to the part of the stiffener to which they adapt after having pinched the net. This feature allows precisely the curtain to circulate between the edges of the slides in which it operates, the total width of the hook being greater than the space separating the edges of the slides.

According to particular embodiments:
- The part of the stiffener located outside the installation can either be housed in the part located inside the installation while pinching the windbreak net or cover the part located inside the installation while covering the windbreak net.

 -The hooks located at the end of each stiffener may protrude only on one side of the stiffener.

 -The U-shaped side runners can be fitted with one or two edges turned inside out or not.

 With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a windbreak net (1) armed with stiffeners 23 each composed of a first profile 2 which fits into a second profile 3 receiving at each of these ends a hook 4. The curtain thus formed is fixed in its upper part to a winding tube 5 which, set in rotation is intended to wind the entire curtain fitted with its stiffeners and to ensure its operation in both directions. Profile 3, the length of which is identical to the width of the net (1), receives at its two ends a hook 4 which happens to be an extension of profile 2 and whose thickness E is substantially equal to that E 'of profile 3 but in all cases less than that E "of the profile 2 Each end of the stiffener 23 thus formed evolves inside the lateral slide 6. Each slide has two edges 7 of which at least one is folded inwards .

Claims (6)

1 - Device for winding a rollable windbreak curtain, characterized in that it  comprises an assembly armed with transverse stiffeners (23), each equipped, at each of their ends with a hook (4) moving between the edges (7) of the lateral slides (6) on a vertical plane or close to the vertical and s 'winding in the upper part on a winding shaft (5). 2 - Device according to claim 1 composed of a set of stiffeners (23) each composed of two parts 2 and 3 pinching the thread between them and whose total thickness EP is greater than the space remaining between the edges (7) lateral slides (6). 3 -A device according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that the hooks (4) located at the ends of the stiffeners have a width L greater than the space remaining between the edges (7) of the side rails (6). 4 - Device according to claim 3 characterized in that the stiffeners (23) are equipped with hooks (4) whose body has a thickness E less than the space  remaining between the edges (7) of each lateral slide (6). 5 - Device according to claims 3 and 4, the body of the hooks (4) allows during assembly to pinch the edge of the net (1) in a similar manner  to the assembly of the two parts (2) and (3) composing each stiffener (23). 6 - Device for winding a rollable windbreak curtain, according to claims 1 to 4, the lateral slides (6), U-shaped have at least one of the edges (7) folded inward.
