Abstract

The tumbler lock (1) comprises a pump (2) enclosing the tumbler casing (3) having an assembly of pivoted tumblers (5) and a male core spindle (4) having a tongue (7). The tumblers can be pivoted by the action of a key into an alignment position of all their grooves (51). The casing can then be slid in the pump against a return spring (21) so as to lead the aligned grooves to mesh with the spindle tongue and enable the spindle to be rotated and lock or unlock the lock. The spindle tongue has an axial oblong slot and at least one casing tumbler. A part (10) meshes in the tongue slot with the casing at rest to an intermediate position in the pump. Description

Groove lock
The present invention relates to a groove lock of the type comprising a pump containing a box of pivoting levers or grooves, each groove being provided with a groove, and a male lantern, said lock being able to be actuated by a temporary key called a site key and a final compliant key.

In order to operate this type of lock, the key rotates the grooves in the groove box so that the grooves of all of the grooves are aligned to create a single groove. The groove box is then driven in sliding in the pump and the single groove formed comes to cooperate in shape with a tongue formed at the end of the male lantern opposite the groove box so as to authorize the actuation of the lock. , in particular by allowing the rotary lantern to be driven. In order to keep the grooves of the grooves in the non-aligned position when no key is inserted into the groove box, said grooves are pivotally mounted in the groove box by means of an elastic return member which keeps them at an unaligned position of the grooves.

This type of lock offers good protection because, in the case of the introduction of a key that does not have the appropriate combination of teeth and grooves for all of the grooves, the desired alignment is not obtained, some grooves which can, for example, be pivoted beyond or below the alignment position of the grooves.

This type of lock conventionally equips access doors to buildings such as office buildings and / or dwellings. In general, these locks are fitted as soon as the access doors are fitted during construction.

Frequently, contractors still have to intervene on the premises and it is therefore necessary to be able to offer them easy access to these premises. In addition, they often leave equipment on site and it is therefore useful to be able to protect this equipment against theft.

In order to leave free access to the site while limiting this access, it is usual to entrust a copy of the compliant key actuating the lock and allowing access.

However, such an organization has the disadvantage of letting a copy of the key circulate in the hands of persons foreign to the owners, this copy of the key may be lost or may be used for fraudulent reproduction of the key.

In order to guarantee its protection, the owner of the premises must then consider changing his lock once the work is completed, which turns out to be costly and impractical.

In order to overcome these drawbacks, the present invention relates to a groove lock of the type comprising a pump containing a grooved box and a male lantern, actuable by a first key called site key and then actuable by a second conforming key definitive, the use of which in the lock condemns the use of the site key which becomes inoperative.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a grooved lock, of the type comprising a pump enclosing a grooved box provided with a set of grooves pivotally mounted and a male lantern having a tongue, said grooves having respectively a groove and capable of be pivoted under the effect of a conforming key to an alignment position of all the grooves, the groove box being able to then be slidably driven in the pump, against the action of a return spring , so as to bring the aligned grooves of the grooves into engagement with the tongue of the male lantern and authorize the rotational driving of said lantern to lock or unlock the lock, characterized in that the tongue of the male lantern comprises at least one oblong axial lumen and at least one groove in the groove box, called the locking groove, has a member capable of being engaged in said lumen of the tongue with the groove box kept at rest in an intermediate position for driving into the pump and the other grooves being kept in alignment position of their grooves in partial engagement with the tongue, with the exception of at least one groove, called active groove, maintained in a non-aligned position of its groove which cooperates with an open notch formed at the end of the tongue, said active groove being able to be actuated by a key, called a site key, comprising a tooth or a groove cooperating with said active groove for the alignment of its groove with the tongue without acting on the other grooves and thus authorizing the further depression of the grooved box in the pump and the rotary drive of the lantern.

Thus, when the member of the locking groove is engaged in the lumen of the tongue, the groove box is already partially pressed into the pump and the other grooves, in the position of alignment of their grooves, are held by the partial grip of these grooves with the tongue. In order to actuate the lock and in particular to allow complete sliding of the groove box in the pump, the site key pivots the active groove and brings its groove opposite the opening of the notch formed in the end of the tongue.

The light provided in the tongue allows the member of the locking groove to slide into engagement in said slot, when the lock is pressed by the site key, without this member coming out of said slot. Consequently, after leaving the site key, the grooved box returns to its intermediate driving position.

The key known as conforming key which is used thereafter causes, on the contrary, the exit of the member of the locking groove out of the lumen of the tongue and this, from the first introduction of the key. As a result, during the extraction of the conforming key, the groove box slides in the pump beyond the intermediate position and the site key therefore becomes inoperative.

Preferably, the member of the own locking groove engaging in the lumen of the tongue consists of a spout projecting transversely relative to the groove of said locking groove, said spout providing a passage constituting said groove.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the lock comprises two locking grooves provided with a member capable of coming into engagement in one or two slots in the tongue.

According to another embodiment, the lock can comprise two active grooves.

An embodiment of the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the drawing in which FIG. 1 represents a side sectional view of a lock according to the invention in the construction position, and FIG. 2 represents a view of above the tongue of the male lantern of a lock according to the invention.

The grooved lock 1 according to the invention is of the type comprising a pump 2 containing a grooved box 3 and a male lantern 4.

Grooves 5 provided with a groove 51 at their end facing the lantern 4 are pivotally mounted inside the groove box 3 about an axis X, the pivoting of said grooves 5 towards an alignment position of their groove 51 so as to form a single groove being obtained during the introduction of a flat shank whose end is provided with teeth and grooves capable of coming into contact with the adjacent end of said grooves 5 and rotate them against the return action of an elastic return member 6 holding a groove 5 in the non-aligned position in the groove box 3.

Once the key has been inserted and the grooves 51 of the grooves 5 aligned, a lateral lug provided on the key allows the sliding box of the grooved box 3 to be driven in the pump 2 against the action of a return spring 21 of such so that the single groove formed by all of the grooves 51 of the aligned grooves 5 engages with the tongue 7 of the male lantern 4 and allows actuation of the lock 1.

The lock 1 according to the invention comprises a tongue 7 in which an oblong axial lumen 8 is formed and at least one notch 9 open at its end opposite the grooved box 3.

A groove 5, said locking groove, is provided with a member capable of being engaged in the slot 8 of the tongue 7. Thus, the groove 5 has a spout 10 projecting transversely relative to its groove 51. As can be seen, see in FIG. 1, when the spout 10 is engaged in the lumen 8, the groove box 3 is in an intermediate position of insertion into the pump 2 towards the tongue 7.

The other grooves 5 are held in the alignment position of their groove 51 in partial engagement with the tongue 7, the spout 10 retaining the groove box 3 at this intermediate insertion position.

At least one groove 5 is left active, that is to say that it is not kept in engagement with the tongue 7 but is in the non-aligned position of its groove 51 which cooperates with the notch 9 of the tongue 7.

Thus, the so-called site key only makes it possible to pivot the active groove 5 opposite the notch 9 so as to align its groove 51 with the tongue 7. It is then possible to continue driving in the box. grooves 3 in the pump 2 so as to actuate the lock 1, the spout 10 moving in the oblong opening 8.

When the site is finished and it is no longer necessary to allow access to people who are not the owner or occupant of the premises, the site lock function is condemned by inserting the conforming key into the lock of the lock.

This key causes the outlet of the spout 10, the size of which is appropriate so as not to prevent the grip of the groove 51 on the tongue 7, out of the slot 8, during the first introduction of said conforming key and, during its extraction, the grooved box 3 is no longer retained in the depressed intermediate position returns to its usual position in the pump 2 under the effect of the spring 21 and the site key becomes completely inoperative.
