Abstract

The single control element is formed by a bi-directional lever (1), which is fitted on to the steering column, near to and to the left of the steering wheel (3). The lever pivots around an axis (2) and this movement is transmitted to the accelerator cable (4), to cause it to slide within the fixed cable sheath (5), and operated the accelerator. The operating lever is also fixed to the second lever (6) and can cause this second lever to rotate about the axis (7), which operates the brake rod (9) and thus the brakes.
