Abstract

The lighting display system has an upper (11a) and lower (11b) holder each of which has an attached canvas material support. The canvas clips into a flexible cloth (4) which is held taut between the two supports. The cloth has clips (6) which hold the lighting units (2) in place along the cloth, providing a lighting display.

The invention relates to a support device for lighting equipment and a display panel comprising such a device.

 There are already known display panels of the type comprising a support frame, a box-shaped casing carried by the support frame, having at least one window on at least one of its two large faces and containing support means of at least a poster, arranged so that one or more posters can be seen through the window or windows which are parallel and close thereto.

 Reference may be made, for example, to documents FR-A-2 699 718 and FR-A-2 703 176.

 It is known that such display panels can include one or more lighting fixtures located, relative to the posters, on the opposite side of the window. These lighting devices are supported by the casing by means of a support device and are capable of illuminating by transparency the poster visible from the outside of the panel, through the window.

 Reference may also be made to documents FR-A-717 124, FR-A-2 610 439, US-A-5 018 289 and US-A-5 138 781.

 In general, the support device for lighting equipment is formed from profiles which are rigidly associated with one another, rigidly fixed to the panel casing.

 However, such an embodiment has several drawbacks.

 Such a device is first complex to produce and cumbersome. However, these are particularly unacceptable drawbacks for a display panel.

 Furthermore and above all, such a support device is bulky in thickness, which consequently increases the thickness of the panel. However, many constraints lead to the search for display panels having a thickness as small as possible.

 This drawback is all the more important in the case where the display panel is intended to receive mobile posters and more especially when it is provided that the poster support means comprise at least a first part close to the window and a second return forming part spaced therefrom.

 The invention therefore aims to remedy these drawbacks and to this end it proposes, according to a first aspect, a lighting device support device comprising at least one flexible and substantially inextensible sheet such as a tarpaulin, and support means of the sheet, so that it is substantially stretched, the lighting fixture (s) being fixed on the sheet.

 According to other characteristics, the ply is continuous or, on the contrary, discontinuous and comprises one or more openings or is formed of several adjoining or spaced sections. The ply is substantially opaque or is made of a heat-resistant or / and electrically insulating material.

 In general, the support means of the sheet are means for hooking the sheet on at least two opposite parallel outer edges.

 For example, the ply has a substantially square or rectangular or polygonal outer contour and the support means are latching means on two opposite parallel outer edges, the other parallel edges of the ply being devoid of latching means.

The means for attaching the sheet to an outer edge are chosen from the group comprising
- a rod surrounded by the folded edge of the sheet, the assembly being housed and wedged in a groove of a support piece;
- a clip-shaped member in which the edge of the sheet is placed
- one or more organs in the shape of a point, of a stud or of a ring, passing through one or more holes or indentations made in the sheet towards its edge or in one or more continuous or discontinuous fasteners rigidly fixed to the sheet along its edge
- One or more points, nipples or projections, formed on the ply along its edge or on a fastener rigidly fixed to the ply along its edge, cooperating with a complementary attachment piece.

 Where appropriate, the support means of the ply include means for tensioning the latter, if necessary adjustable, or are removable and / or adjustable in position.

 A lighting fixture is mechanically attached to the tablecloth by means of bolts, flanges, rivets or the like.

If necessary, this attachment is removable.

 The positioning of a lighting member on the sheet is carried out continuously or discontinuously.

 The sheet may include locating means for positioning the lighting fixture (s). For example, these locating means consist of an arrangement of the sheet allowing easy installation of a lighting device, such as one or more orifices.

 Depending on the case, the lighting fixture (s) are placed on one side or on both sides of the sheet.

 Such a lighting support device can be applied to a display panel.

Such a display panel is of the type comprising
- a support frame
- a box-shaped casing carried by the support frame having at least one window on at least one of its large faces and containing
- Support means for at least one poster arranged so that the poster or posters can be visible through the window or windows
- And one or more lighting devices located in relation to the poster or posters, on the opposite side of the window, supported by the casing and capable of illuminating the poster or posters by transparency.

 In one embodiment, the support means of the device are fixed to the casing and the sheet extends parallel to the window or windows for viewing the posters.

 According to other characteristics of the panel, the support means of the lighting device support device are fixed to the internal face of a part forming a belt, belonging to the casing and forming its edge.

 Depending on the case, the poster support means and therefore the posters are fixed or are mobile, the posters being mobile scrollable, continuous or not.

 Such a display panel is intended to be placed vertically.

 Insofar as the poster support means are movable by scrolling, the scrolling is, depending on the case, horizontal or vertical.

 The support means of the lighting equipment support device are placed between the poster support means located near a window and the poster support means forming a return separated from this window.

 Thus, in the embodiment considered, the display panel being mounted vertically, the ply of the lighting equipment support device is arranged vertically.

 In this case, the support means of the ply are arranged horizontally at least in the upper part and, where appropriate, in the lower part, respectively, of the part forming a belt.

 The other characteristics of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings by way of nonlimiting examples.

 The invention relates to a device 1 supporting one or more lighting devices 2.

 It also relates to a display panel 3 incorporating such a device 1.

 The device 1 will now be described more specifically. This device 1 comprises a flexible and substantially inextensible ply 4 and the means 5 supporting the ply 4 so that the latter is substantially stretched.

 The light fixture (s) 2 are fixed to the sheet 4 by means of fixing means 6.

 The ply 4 has, in the embodiment shown, a substantially rectangular outer contour limited by four outer edges, two at their parallels with each other, each pair being perpendicular to the other. These edges are, when the device 1 is integrated into the display panel 3 placed vertically, an upper horizontal edge 7, a lower horizontal edge 8 and two vertical lateral edges 9. In fact, in this case, the ply 4 is then it -also arranged vertically.

 It is understood that the device 1 for the lighting fixture support is not limited to the case where the sheet 4 is vertical.

 The sheet 4 could also, without departing from the scope of the invention, have a square or, more generally polygonal or other, external contour.

 In the embodiment shown, the sheet 4 is continuous. According to another embodiment, not shown, the ply 4 is discontinuous. Either it has one or more openings, or it is formed of several sections joined together or spaced from each other.

 According to embodiment characteristics, the ply 4 is substantially opaque and made of a material resistant to heat and electrically insulating.

 Thus, it is possible to use, to produce the ply 4, a material such as tarpaulin. Such material is not exclusive of others.

 In the application shown, the support means 5 secure the ply 4 by its two upper 7 and lower 8 horizontal edges.

 This embodiment is well suited to the case of the application of the device 1 to a display panel, insofar as the latter comprises a casing 10 having a belt 11, the upper and lower horizontal parts or walls pila, llb, respectively , can allow the attachment of support means 5.

 As a variant (not shown), the support means 5 secure the ply 4 by its single upper horizontal edge 7, the ply 4 being stretched either by its own weight, or as a result of a ballast placed in or towards the lower horizontal edge 8.

 According to another variant (not shown), in relation to a vertical ply 4, the support means 5 ensure the attachment of the ply 4 by its two lateral edges 9.

 In the embodiment shown in the figure, the support means 5 comprise a rod 12 surrounded by a folded edge of the ply 4. The rod 12 thus surrounded by the ply 4 is housed and wedged in a groove 13 of a support part 14.

 According to the application more especially considered, such a support piece 14 is carried by and fixed to the pila, llb parts of the belt 11.

 The rod 12 can be held in a hem formed by the ply 4. This hem is kept closed in any suitable manner by welding, gluing, sewing, stapling or the like.

 The rod 12 can be, for example, a cable or a plastic profile.

 The support piece 14 is either continuous over the entire length of the edge of the ply 4 that it maintains, or is discontinuous, which means that several support pieces 14 are then provided spaced from one another.

 The piece in place of the rod 12 and of the ply 4 in the groove 13 is produced by axial or drilled rolling, transversely.

 The support piece 14 is held - in particular on the parts 11a, 11b of the belt 11 in any suitable manner.

 In particular, the support piece 14 may comprise, opposite the groove 13, a hook 15 attached to a complementary hook 16 fixed to the part 11a, 11b of the belt 11.

 The hook 15 is in particular in the form of a U-shaped profile.

 In such an embodiment, the support means 5 are removable or even adjustable in position.

As has been stated above, the embodiment of the support means 5 as described, is not exclusive of others. These are, in particular (not shown)
- a rod surrounded by the folded edge of the sheet, the assembly being housed and wedged in a groove of a support piece;
- a clip-shaped member in which the edge of the sheet is placed
- one or more organs in the shape of a point, of a stud or of a ring, passing through one or more holes or indentations made in the sheet towards its edge or in one or more continuous or discontinuous fasteners rigidly fixed to the sheet along its edge ;
- One or more points, nipples or projections, formed on the ply along its edge or on a fastener rigidly fixed to the ply along its edge, cooperating with a complementary attachment piece.

 Furthermore, the support means 5 can be the subject of different variants. They can include the tensioning means of the ply 4, if necessary adjustable.

 The mechanical fixing means 6 are in the embodiment shown in the form of elastically deformable flanges forming clips, in which the lighting devices 2 are held by elastic clamping.

 Such a flange comprises a core 17 fixed to the ply 4 by a hooking member 18 and two branches 19 which can be spaced apart, elastically, separated from the core 17 by an orifice 20 for the passage of the lighting apparatus. 2.

 In such an embodiment, the lighting fixtures 2 are positioned in the flanges 6 (or removed from them) by transverse displacement by force.

 According to other embodiments not shown, the fixing means 6 are bolts, rivets or other equivalent members.

 Consequently, the fixing means 6 make it possible, as the case may be, to provide a removable or irremovable fixing of the lighting fixtures 2.

 To facilitate implementation, the sheet 4 can be provided with locating means 21 for positioning the lighting fixture (s) 2 or associated fixing means 6.

 These locating means are for example marks or marks or even holes provided in advance or fastening members such as 18 regularly arranged on the web.

 Consequently, depending on the case, the positioning of a lighting member on the sheet is carried out continuously or discontinuously.

 In the embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the lighting devices 2 are placed on one side of the sheet 4.

 In another embodiment, not shown, they are placed on both sides. They are then either facing each other, or offset from each other.

 The device 1 which has just been described can be used independently.

 It can also be integrated into a display panel 3 intended to receive posters such as 22.

 The panel 1 comprises a support frame 23 including a base 24, carrying the casing 10.

 The housing 10 has a general box shape. It comprises firstly the belt 11 forming the edge of the casing 10 and, on either side, two large faces 25.

 One of (or both) large faces 25 has a window 26 provided with a protective glass.

 Such a display panel 3 is intended to be placed with its vertical base 24 and the main plane of the casing 10, the large faces 25 and the windows 26 of which are parallel, vertical. This plane is referenced P. The sheet 4 of the device 1 is parallel to it.

 The belt 11 has, for its part, a main axis passing through the large faces 25, arranged horizontally, perpendicular to the plane P.

 For reasons of convenience, the description is made with reference to the display panel 3 erected as just described.

 It is with reference to this situation that qualifiers such as "horizontal" or "vertical" must be understood.

 Furthermore, the display panel 3 is considered with respect to an observer placed opposite the window 26, or one of the windows 26 in the case where the panel 3 comprises two.

 The qualifiers "front", "rear", "frontal", etc. refer to this situation.

 However, it is understood that during its storage or for assembly or even for its transport, the display panel 3 or its constituent elements can be arranged in a position other than that mentioned previously.

 The display panel 3 also comprises poster support means arranged so that the posters 22 are arranged vertically opposite the window 26, just behind it.

 The posters 22 placed on the display panel 3 are, in the embodiment considered, of square or rectangular outline.

 In the embodiment considered, there are provided several posters 22 placed one beside the other horizontally but independent of each other, but all supported by the support means.

 In this case, a poster 22 is located opposite the window 26, while the other posters are hidden from view relative to this window 26. In this embodiment, the panel 1 therefore also includes means 27 for centering support means so as to ensure the scrolling of the posters 22.

 This scrolling is preferably discontinuous, that is to say that the drive means 27 are stopped for a certain time when the poster 22 facing the window 26 can be seen by an observer. Then, the drive means 27 are active to change the poster and so on.

 However, also falls within the scope of the invention the case where the posters 22 scroll continuously, the drive means 27 being arranged accordingly.

 In the embodiment considered, the scrolling of the posters is horizontal.

 However, also falls within the scope of the invention the case where the scrolling is vertical.

 Finally, the invention also relates to the case where the panel 3 is intended for a single poster, fixed or mobile.

 Consequently, in the embodiment more particularly considered, there is provided a plurality of posters 22, juxtaposed horizontally but independent of one another, driven to scroll horizontally thanks to the drive means 27 arranged for this purpose.

 The drive means 27 comprise, in the embodiment under consideration, three pairs of rollers 28, namely a pair of front rollers 28a, a pair of rear rollers 28b, and a pair of middle rollers 28c.

 The front rollers 28a are located near the window 26.

 The rear rollers 28b are located near the face 25 opposite the window 26 considered.

 As for the median rollers 28c, they are located in the vertical median plane of the panel 3.

 The front rollers 28a and the rear rollers 28b are separated and located near the vertical walls lic of the belt 11.

 The median rollers 28c are on the contrary spaced from these vertical walls lic and close to the horizontal axis of the belt 11.

 In the case where the panel 3 has two windows 26 on either side, the arrangement is symmetrical.

 One of the rollers 28 has a motor or geared motor wedged on its axis.

 The rollers 28 are of vertical axes 29. They are carried by bearings fixed to the walls 11a, 11b of the belt 11.

 In the structure described, the axes 29 are located in three planes 29a, 29b, 29c parallel to the plane P.

 The rollers 28 are wedged in the upper and lower external part of the pinions or pulleys for two upper and lower support members 30 respectively.

 These support members 30 are elongated horizontally parallel to the posters, namely their upper and lower horizontal edges. They are flexible and inextensible. They are for example in the form of an endless chain or equivalent and form part of drive means 27.

 These support members 30 serve to support the support means for the posters 22.

 Between the pinions, the support members 30 are guided by a guide member.

 The support members 30 and the posters 22 held by the support means follow a complex path defined by the rollers 28.

 Thus considering a window 26, the support members 30 and the posters 22 form a front section defined by the front plane 31 tangent frontally to the two rollers 28a.

 Then behind the two rollers 28a, the support members 30 and the posters 22 form another section defined by the plane 32 tangent to the rear of the two rollers 28a, and, simultaneously, frontally of the two rollers 28c.

 We thus find in order, from front to back, the following successive planes: 31, 29a, 32, 29c, etc.

 There is therefore a space 33 between the sections defined above in relation to the planes 31 and 32.

 The device 1 is placed in this space 33 parallel to said sections.

 Consequently, the support means of the lighting equipment support device are placed between the poster support means located near a window and the poster support means forming a return separated from this window.

 It will be observed that this space 33 is not very thick (in the horizontal direction) but that this is not a problem for setting up the device 1, in the plane 34. Indeed, the device 1 is not very thick.

 It will also be observed that the lighting devices 2 can be placed in any desired location in space 33.

 Finally, the device 1 can be double ply.

One supporting the lighting fixtures 2 as described and the other parallel, arranged in front, ensuring a suitably distributed diffusion of the light emitted. This arrangement avoids the disharmonious effects resulting from the existence of a point light source.

Claims (30)

Device according to any one of claims 7 and 8 characterized in that the means for hooking the ply (4) to an outer edge are chosen from the group comprising  - a rod surrounded by the folded edge of the sheet, the assembly being housed and wedged in a groove of a support piece  - a clip-shaped member in which the edge of the sheet is placed  - one or more organs in the shape of a point, of a stud or of a ring, passing through one or more holes or indentations made in the sheet towards its edge or in one or more continuous or discontinuous fasteners rigidly fixed to the sheet along its edge  - One or more points, nipples or projections, formed on the ply along its edge or on a fastener rigidly fixed to the ply along its edge, cooperating with a complementary attachment piece.  10. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 9 characterized in that the support means of the ply (4) include means for tensioning the latter, if necessary adjustable.  11. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 10 characterized in that the support means of the sheet are removable and / or adjustable in position.  12.A device according to any one of claims 1 to 11 characterized in that a lighting device (2) is mechanically fixed to the ply (4) by means of bolts, flanges, rivets or the like.  13.Device according to any one of claims 1 to 12 characterized in that a lighting device (2) is removably attached to the sheet (4).  14.
