Abstract

Stretch fabric, with stretch along the warps and wefts, has warps of stretch yarns (C) with an elastic core and continuous bulked filament cladding. The wefts are alternately non-stretch yarns (T1) and stretch yarns (T2). The fabric weave gives a stretch weft (T2) masked by a non-stretch weft (T1) and especially of cotton. Each weft is along a diagonal with a float (F1, F2) in the pattern repeat, on the same fabric surface and in succession.
