Abstract

- a screen (5) disposed downstream of the vibrating plate (31), capable of separating the seeded grains from the rest of the clusters.

6. Device according to claim 5, characterized in that the plate has a vibratory movement (V) in an oblique direction, oriented upwards and downstream.

7. Device according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that said endless belt (4) has a rough outer face.

8. Device according to one of claims 5 to 7, characterized in that the lower strand (40) of the belt moves in the same direction as the direction of advance of the clusters on the vibrating plate (31).

9. Device according to one of claims 5 to 8, characterized in that the screen (5) consists of a horizontal perforated plate extending the vibrating plate (31) and integral therewith.

10. Ginning device for implementing the method according to claim 3, characterized in that it comprises:

- a pair of juxtaposed rotary rollers (71a, 71b) of parallel axes (XA, XB) horizontal and substantially coplanar, these rollers having a generally cylindrical shape whose generatrices opposite delimit a passage of small width (k), slightly greater at the grain diameter, the surface of at least one of the rollers (71a, 71b) having a plurality of circumferential grooves (70) of cross-section whose width is close to the diameter of the grains;

- means for driving the two rollers (71a, 71b) in opposite directions, at substantially the same circumferential speed, so that the facing surfaces of the rollers move up and down;

- a supply means, such as a hopper (6) capable of discharging the clusters to be ginned directly above the passage between the two rollers (71a, 71b)

- a screen (8) disposed below this passage, capable of separating the seeded grains from the rest of the bunches.
