Abstract

A Turkish type WC pan and flushing system (5) is installed in the ground (1) with a drain pipe (6) adjacent to a rear wall (4) which has a sloping portion (8a). A facade (7) supports a U=shaped pivoting seat (10). The pivoting seat (10) is motor-driven (12) and may be lowered from the normally retracted position if required by pressing a button (28). In addition to the normal flushing if the pivoting seat is used it is cleaned by water jets and dried by warm air (14) (22) when automatically retracted after the users exit has been detected by radar.
