Abstract

Technical field: furniture. The coat hanger consists of rods (1) that can be slid in and out of the flat back portion (3) of a noticeboard (4). In the position shown in the figure, this board is held at right angles to a wall by a device (5). The rods are pulled out by way of a coat hanger. When the latter is immobilised, the rods (1) are pushed back into their housings (2) and the board (4) is swung down against the wall. The information on the board thus becomes observable while the coat hanger is hidden from view.

Title: Clothes rack retractable mounted in a pivoting information panel
The present invention relates to a clothes rack retractable mounted in a pivoting information panel.

Thus it relates both to the field of movable objects
equipping a place and ensuring a generic function of clothes rack,
and those providing a generic information function.

 It primarily concerns objects of the clothes rack type.

 Traditionally, the clothes racks or coat racks, once released from the clothes which had been hung there, do not have the possibility of being put away, so that they always remain visible and that in a generally way unsightly.

 A first object of the invention is to remedy this drawback by mounting these clothes racks retractably in a support to be able to make them invisible when not in use.

 A second object of the invention consists in using as such support, a pivoting information support which, in a first vertical position, delivers information and which, in a second horizontal position, makes it possible to put the clothes hangers in the operational position.

 The invention therefore relates to a complex movable object making it possible, according to one or other of the two possible positioning states, to ensure one or the other of the two abovementioned functions.

Of course, a large number of objects are already known previously.

 The invention consists, from this widely known prior art, of using as an object with a flat surface an informative support situated at a height allowing its easy observation, and of mounting, retractable in the flat rear part of this support, clothes racks sliding.

 The invention therefore relates to a clothes rack of the kind using a movable object with a flat surface mounted on a vertical wall by means of an articulation and capable of being either folded against this wall in a first position, or maintained horizontally, perpendicular to this wall in a second position, characterized in that said movable object used is an information panel intended to be placed at a height allowing its easy observation and that this information panel has a flat rear part in the thickness of which sliding rods are used as clothes hangers when pulled outward.

 The invention, simple in principle and clearly defined above, will be understood more clearly with the aid of the following description of a particular embodiment, given solely by way of a particular example.

This description will be made with reference to the attached drawing, on which
- Figure 1 shows a clothes rack according to the invention in position
service, and
- Figure 2 shows it out of service leaving visible then a pan
informative.

 Figure 1 therefore shows the clothes rack in the service position.

This clothes rack consists of rods (1) mounted sliding in the housing (2) arranged inside the rear part (3) of an information panel (4). The rods (1) are then extended to the outside of these housings. The information panel is fixed to a vertical wall using any known device (5) capable of holding it either in the position of FIG. 1 perpendicular to the wall, or folded down along this wall as shown in FIG. 2
The clothes rods are then returned to their housing. The
clothes rack is then invisible and only appears the front face of the
information panel.

 This very functional description of the subject of the invention makes it possible to explain the very large number of possible variants for producing each elementary constituent of the invention.

 The information panel may have a rectangular front face as shown. It can represent a table, a photograph, readable information.

The shape can be among other things: square, semicircular, in the form of a shield. In the latter case, you can include the logogram identifying the place where the clothes rack is located.

 The front face of the information panel can be protected by a transparent glass so that, when this panel is in the position of FIG. 1, the upper face can be used to place objects there (bags, hats, etc.). without risk of deterioration of the information visible in the position of figure 2.

 The device 5 is very well known in itself, available in traditional hardware.

 The rods 1 can be of round, or square, or rectangular section.

The materials used can be very varied: wood, aluminum, plastics, etc.

 An additional horizontal bar (6) fixed at its ends to the stem arms of the device (5) allows additional hangers to be hung there.

 The invention therefore also relates to all these possible variants.

 URIQUE CLAIM  Clothes rack of the kind using a flat surface movable object mounted on a vertical wall by means of a joint and capable of being either folded against this wall in a first position, or held horizontally, perpendicular to this wall in a second position, characterized in that said movable object used is an informative panel (4 intended to be placed at a height allowing its easy observation, and that this informative panel comprises a flat rear part (3 in the thickness of which are mounted sliding rods (1 used as a clothes rack when pulled outwards (figure 1).
