Abstract

The invention relates to a car antitheft lock including a main body for immobilising the steering wheel, and a fastening element, connected to the main body, for fixing the steering wheel to a steering column and shaft in such a way that the steering wheel cannot rotate with respect to the steering column and shaft. The car antitheft lock can be transported and used conveniently and has sufficient structural strength and an elegant appearance. Similarly, the car antitheft lock has additional functions which can be used in case of emergency.

6. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 2, in which a curved part of a shape suitable for grasping said fixed jaw is formed on a part of said fixed jaw.

7. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 1, in which said fixing element comprises a first part for fixing the column and the steering shaft so that they cannot rotate and a second part for connecting said first part to said main body.

8. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 7, in which said first part comprises a chain comprising a flexible series of rings fitted into each other, said chain being able to be wound around the column and the 'steering shaft.

9. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 7, in which a screw and nut joint is included in said chain.

10. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 8, in which a first ring located at one end of said chain has a size large enough that the remaining part of said chain connected to said first ring can pass through it.

11. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 8, in which a first ring located at one end of said chain is connected to another ring of said chain and a loop is thus formed of size large enough for the remaining part of said chain which is not made up of a part of said loop can pass through it.

12. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 7, wherein said second part comprises a chain.

13. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 12, wherein said second part also comprises a screw and nut joint.

14. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 7, wherein said second part comprises a rod.

15. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 12, in which two rings remote from said chain are interconnected by an elastic element to elastically shorten the distance between said two rings when said fixing element is disconnected from said main body.

16. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 7, wherein said second part comprises a hook for connecting said second part to said first part.

17. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 7, wherein said second part comprises a hook for connecting said second part to said main body.

18. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 16, wherein said first part is a frame of suitable shape to surround a cross section of the column and the steering shaft so as to prevent rotation.

19. A car anti-theft lock according to claim 16, in which said first part is a plate comprising a hole in which said hook is engaged, said plate being fixed on the column and the steering shaft.
