Abstract

Electrical connecting member of two male tabs, of the type made from a strip of metal that is a good conductor of electricity and endowed with a certain elasticity and bent to present a duct of rectangular section with a core (6) (37 ), two wings (7 and 8) (38, 39) and a ceiling wall (17, 17a, 40), the ceiling wall (17, 17a, 40) comprising, towards the inside, an elastic bar (14 , 14a) (35, 35a), while the core (6, 37) comprises, towards the inside, an elastic tongue (9, 42), said member having two channels (28, 29, 56, 58) intended each to receive a male tongue (25, 26, 57, 59), the channels opening one on one side and the other on the opposite side, characterized in that the elastic tongue (9, 42) of which is provided the core (6, 37) is cut in said core (6, 37) and suitably arched to extend inside substantially parallel to the latter, the corresponding channel being formed between said tongue (9, 42) and said soul (6, 37).

  The present invention relates to a connecting member

  According to a constructive detail, the wall of the

  bottom, on the side opposite its end provided with elastic bars, has a stop extending in the direction of

  The member shown in Figures 1 to 5 is made

  dried from a metal strip 1 good conductor of electricity and endowed with a certain elasticity, said strip having a generally rectangular shape with two

  long sides 2 and 3 and two short sides 4 and 5.

  In the core 6 is cut a tongue 9 which

  is stamped to extend inside the organ, the ex-

on the opposite side from the core 6.

  Wing 8, near the short side 4, presents

  te a slot 10 which extends parallel to said short side and which extends from the long side 2 to an intermediate point of the width of the strip, said slot being

  extended by a fold line 11 to the long side 3.

  The slot 10 delimits a bar 14 which is terminated by a stop 12 on the side of the large side 3. The member, in the vicinity of the short side 5 has the same configuration as that provided in the vicinity of the short side, namely a slot 10a, a fold line lla, a stop

12a of a bar 14a.

  The wing 8 has an extension 17, an extension

  corresponding gage 17a being provided between wing 7 and the

bar 14a.

  As seen in Figure 2, the bars

  14 and 14a are bent inward against the extensions

  17 and 17a respectively while the latter are bent at right angles inward to form a

  ceiling wall parallel to the core 6. Thus, the organ af-

  fect the shape of a rectangular section duct.

  The bars 14 and 14a are arched in the vicinity

projection 18.

  The stops 12 and 12a are bent at right angles

  Each extension 17 and 17a is, on the side of the

  The organ of FIGS. 1 to 5 presents two ca-

  channels 28 and 29, the channel 28 being formed between the bars 14 and 14a and the tongue 9, and the channel 29 between the core

6 and the tab 9.

  In the channel 28 is engaged a male tongue 25 while a second male tongue 26 is pinched between the bars 14 and 14a and the tongue 9. The stops 20, a define the entry of the channel 28, while the stops 12, 12a with the free end 9a delimit the entry of the

channel 29.

  The stops 12 and 20 make it possible to prevent the tabs 25 and 26 from being able to be engaged in a

position that would not be suitable.

  Figures 6 to 10 show a variant of

realization of the invention.

  The member represented in these figures is produced from a metal strip 30 which is good conductor of electricity and has a certain elasticity. The

  strip 30 is cut to have a general shape rec-

  tangular with two large parallel sides 31 and 32 and

two short sides 33 and 34.

  The strip 30 is intended to be folded so

  to present a core 37 two wings 38 and 39, the wing 39 pre-

  feeling an extension 40 intended to constitute a wall

ceiling.

  In the core 37 is cut a tongue 42

  which is arched to extend inward sensitive-

  lying parallel to the core and whose free end 42a

  is folded back on the side opposite said core 37.

  The ceiling wall 40 is, on the side of the long side 31, extended by two bars 35 and 35a which are folded inwards to present a first part folded in hairpin 44 and a second part 45, also folded in hairpin hair, the free end bearing against the internal face of the wall 40. Between the two parts 44 and 45, each bar 35, 35a has

a boss 46.

  The ceiling wall 40, on the side opposite the bars

at right angles and forms a stop.

  The wing 38, along its edge, is extended by a flap 50 intended to be folded over the free edge of the wall 40 which has a slight stamping 54 so that said flap does not protrude from the surface of said

  te 52, while in line with the fold line separating the flap 50 from the wing 38, a slot 51 is made,

  in which the tab 52 is inserted.

  It will be appreciated that the member thus formed takes the form of a rectangular section conduit in which extends a first channel 56 which is formed between the
