Abstract

The present invention relates to a modular apparatus to be fixed onto a profiled fixing rail. This apparatus (19) includes a housing (11) provided with a fixing base (12) delimited by two grooves (18 and 19) arranged to accommodate two rims (16, 17) of a profiled rail (13) respectively. The groove (19) is equipped with a locking latch (20) associated with elastic tabs. The groove (18) is provided with a protuberance (25) preferably in the form of an elastic tongue which exerts a repulsion force F on the rim (16) of the rail. This repulsion force F is converted into a force F1 pushing the other rim (17) onto the latch (20). This apparatus is advantageous in that it can be easily fixed onto a vertical rail without requiring complementary locking means.
