Abstract

The present invention relates to a support for circuit-breaker reset device. According to the invention, this support has as its subject a circuit-breaker reset device characterised in that it includes at least two parallel walls 2 and 3 against at least one of which abuts a face of the housing of the circuit breaker 1 and in at least one of which are mounted clamping means 4 exerting a pressure against another face of the housing 1 parallel to the first, at least one wall 5 linking the parallel walls 2 and 3 and at least one stop 6 against which abuts one face of the housing of the circuit breaker 1 which is transverse to the previous mutually parallel ones.

Description

The present invention relates to a circuit breaker reset device support.

The purpose of the support according to the invention is to position a device for resetting on circuit breakers that are difficult to access.

The devices for resetting the circuit breakers of the prior art comprise a part for detecting the switching of the circuit breaker by checking the voltage on the output terminals of the circuit breaker and an active part controlled by the detection part and acting on the lever or circuit breaker button to place it in the working position to restore current in the circuit.

The active part of these reset devices comprises a coil and a core movable in translation in the coil under the effect of the magnetic field which is created in the latter.

An axis integral with the heart actuates the lever or the button of the circuit breaker by means of a linkage.

In this type of rearming devices of the prior art the drawbacks are found in the active part.

In fact, the coil is mounted on a support fixed near the circuit breaker and the movement between the heart and the button of the circuit breaker is transmitted by a linkage.

Thus the mounting of this active part requires the fixing of a support near the circuit breaker, which increases the installation time of the reset devices. In addition, linkage transmission requires adjustments to position the elements between the circuit breaker button and the axis of the moving core.

This linkage generates losses of force between the said core and the button and can also cause blockages in the rearming movement.

This type of drawback on the movement is very serious due to the inaccessibility of the circuit breakers on which these reset devices are placed.

The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a support for the active part of a circuit-breaker reset device allowing the direct action of the active part of said device, avoiding additional work of installing the active part in the vicinity. of the circuit breaker and not requiring the prior supply to the circuit breaker housing of parts capable of receiving said active part and its support.

To this end, the support according to the invention is essentially characterized in that it is mounted directly and removably on the case of the circuit breaker.

According to another characteristic, the support according to the invention comprises at least two parallel walls against at least one of which comes to bear on one side of the circuit breaker case and in at least one of which are mounted clamping means exerting pressure against another face of the box parallel to the first, at least one wall connecting the parallel walls and at least one stop against which abuts one face of the box of the circuit breaker transverse to the previous ones parallel to each other.

Other advantages and characteristics will appear in the description of the invention shown in the accompanying drawings given by way of nonlimiting example and in which: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of the support according to the invention according to a first form of production.

- Figure 3 is a perspective view of the support according to the invention according to another embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 2, the support for the circuit breaker for resetting the circuit breaker and more particularly for the active part of said device is fixed directly and removably to the case of circuit breaker 1.

The support according to the invention as shown in the attached figures comprises at least two parallel walls 2 and 3 against at least one of which bears on one face of the case of the circuit breaker 1 and in at least one of which are clamping means 4 exerting pressure against another face of the box 1 parallel to the first, at least one wall 5 connecting the parallel walls 2 and 3 and at least one stop 6 against which abuts a face of the case of the circuit breaker 1 transverse to the previous faces parallel between they.
Preferably, the support comprises two parallel walls 2 and 3, one of which is the support wall 2 for one face of the housing 1 and the other of which is the wall 3 provided with clamping means 4.

According to a first embodiment of the support according to the invention, the parallel walls 2 and 3 are interconnected by a perpendicular wall 5 arranged relative to said walls on one of their edges so as to form a U-shaped profile.

The support according to this first embodiment consists of a stirrup between the branches of which is housed the case of the circuit breaker 1 and more particularly the front face of the latter provided with the reset button or lever 7.

According to a second embodiment, the parallel walls 2 and 3 are interconnected by two parallel lateral walls 5 forming with the walls 2 and 3 a frame, as shown in FIG. 3 between the walls of which is housed the face of the housing of the circuit breaker provided with reset button or lever 7.

According to these two embodiments, the wall 3 carries the clamping means 4.

These clamping means are preferably constituted by screws 8 each cooperating with a threaded orifice formed in said wall and advantageously provided with a rounded or flat end.

The circuit breaker box 1 is placed in abutment against the wall 2 of the support according to the invention and the screws 3 are screwed into the wall 3 so that their end comes into contact with the box 1 of the circuit breaker to exert on it clamping pressure maintaining the support according to the invention on said housing.

The rounded or flat end of the screws 8 prevents deterioration of the housing 1.

According to the two above embodiments of the support according to the invention, a stop 6 comes to bear against a face of the case transverse to the faces against which the support wall 2 and the ends of the clamping means 4 come into contact.

This stop 6 is fixed on one of the walls 2 or 3 and preferably on the wall 3 carrying the tightening means 4.

Said stopper is mounted perpendicular to the wall 3 which carries it in order to bear on the front face of the case 1 provided with reset lever 7 in order to block the support on the case in a direction of translation.

Said front face of the housing 1 is generally perpendicular to the faces on which the bearing wall 2 and the clamping means 4 come into contact.

Advantageously, the support according to the invention may include a stop 9 for lateral locking of said support on the housing 1 and more particularly on a lateral face of the latter.

This lateral stop 9 is represented in FIG. 3 on the second embodiment of the support according to the invention although the latter according to this embodiment can be produced so that the spacing between the walls 5 is substantially equal to the width breaker boxes 1.

According to a variant of the second embodiment, the clamping means 4 can be carried by one of the walls 5.

Depending on the type of resetting element 7 of the circuit breaker either push button or lever one of the walls of the support according to the invention carries the active part 10 of the resetting device and is designed for this purpose.

The active part of the resetting device is generally formed by a coil in which moves in translation under the effect of a magnetic field a core cooperates with a pusher 11.

In the case of a lever circuit breaker, the support according to the invention carries the active part 10 of the reset device against the support wall 3 or the wall 2 which is for this purpose provided with an orifice 12.

Said active part is fixed against the wall 2 or 3 of the support by any known means, for example by screwing.

According to an alternative embodiment, provision may be made to mount on the support according to the invention another active part allowing tripping of the circuit breaker. According to this variant, this active part is mounted on the wall 2 or 3 of said support.

In the case where the support according to the invention is intended to be placed on a push-button circuit breaker, the support according to the first embodiment can receive the active part 10 against the wall 5 connecting the walls 2 and 3 and provided with an orifice push button 11.

Preferably, the support according to the invention is made of metal or any other rigid material.

The support according to the invention is very easy to install on the circuit breakers without damaging them or even modifying them, is very inexpensive and very reliable.

It goes without saying that the present invention can receive all arrangements and all variants in the field of technical equivalents without departing from the scope of this patent.
