The present applicant has described in French patent N 947987 of May 23, 1947 an improved device for pasty materials consisting of a support carrying a threaded rod and receiving a piston capable of receiving a rotational movement of a container joined by its open lower edge. to the aforementioned support by means allowing it to rotate about its axis.
The object of the present invention is to provide improvements to the arrangements described in the brief? mentioned above, and more particularly to extend their fields of application.
To this end, the invention proposes:
to make a device for liquid or pasty materials
rotational movement of an element 6 actuable by the user has at its upper end a shoulder 10 taking
deformable such as, for example, a spring 12, on the upper face of the closing base 2 provided with an outlet orifice 7.
The piston 3 of this device pushed by the rotational movement of the threaded rod 4 upwards in the direction of the sealing base 2, compresses the liquid or pasty material contained in the space delimited by the piston 3, by the sealing base 2 and by the tubular wall 5 of the container 1, tending to move the rod 4 in the opposite direction by pulling it downwards.
Several advantages can be derived from a device thus constituted:
1. The threaded rod 4 undergoing tensile stress eliminates the danger of buckling of the compressed rod of the
2. The diffusion of liquid aerosol products under a
of the threaded rod 2.
3. The reduction in the number of component parts of the device (the support carrying the rod and the means ensuring its assembly with the container are replaced by a simple element in the form of a cap 6; cf. FIG. 1).
4-. The opening and closing of the orifice 7 in the device according to the invention (fig. 1) are carried out by the displacement of an element 6.
5. The diffusion of a liquid aerosol product requiring high pressure is made possible by the prior compression of the spring 12 followed by the opening of the valve 13 at the time chosen by the user.
6. The device is factory conditioned; facilitated by filling the container 1 by its widely open end.
7. The unclogging of the dirty orifice 7 is achieved by the increase in pressure on the piston 3.
will also emerge from the description which will be given below, relating to several embodiments chosen by way of examples and shown in the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows in axial section the device according to the invention in which the threaded rod 4 is rigidly fixed on the element 6.
Figures 2a and 2b show in axial section and
Identical or equivalent elements have the same indices in all the figures.
In FIG. 1, the threaded rod 4 is rigidly fixed by its upper end to the element 6 in the form of a cap and assembled in a known manner by elastic clipping with the closing base 2 of the container 1 so as to be able to rotate around its axis. while remaining axial dare
the aforementioned assembly being provided by the gasket 19 placed between the shoulder 10 and the central part of the closing base 2.
In FIG. 1, the device according to the inversion is shown in the ready to operate state with the piston 3 screwed onto the lower end of the rod 4.
To be able to use the device, the user has to rotate the element 6 in the direction of raising the piston 3, and pheasant ~ simultaneously rotate the element 20 closing the outlet orifice 7.
It is easy to understand that in a device thus constituted, the very reduced effort provided by the user to rotate the element 6 results in a very strong pressure exerted by the piston 3 on the product enclosed in a space delimited by the piston 3, the sealing base 2 and the tubular side wall of the container 1.
Consequently, the distribution under pressure of the products which are difficult to remove from the rigid containers is made possible in devices according to the invention.
provided with two complementary parts 8 and 3 preventing the rod 4 from rotating relative to the element 6 while at the same time
element, while a spring 12 supported by its end
upwards, towards the position in which the shoulder 10 abuts against the underside of the cup 24 enough-
with item 6.
To be able to use the device, the user rotates the element 6 in the direction pushing the piston 3 upwards.
The valve 13 of the aerosol type hermetically closing the outlet orifice 7; by preventing the exit of the product through the specified orifice, blocks the piston in its position and forces the threaded rod rotating around its axis to descend by compressing the springs 12 by its shoulder 10 and thus increasing the pressure of the piston 3 on the product enclosed in the space delimited by the piston 3, the sealing base 2 and the tubular lateral section of the container 1.
The opening of the valve 13 by the user at the time chosen by him causes a quantity of the liquid product corresponding to the descent of the Rod 4 to come out under high aerosol pressure.
In FIG. 3, the element 6 is rigidly fixed on the lower end of the rod 4 and placed at the lower end of the container 1 so as to be guided by its tubular wall
The upper end of the rod 4 and the central part of the sealing base 2 is compressed by the shoulder 10 during the descent of the rod 4.
The operation of the device according to the figure is identical to that shown in Figure 2.
The cap 6 axially displaced relative to the tubular wall 5 of the container by the axial displacement of the rod 4 indicates the volume of the product ready to be distributed under pressure by the opening of the valve 13 It is obvious that a thick or viscous product , difficult to extract from a rigid container, can be packaged according to the invention comprising a valve 13 made for this kind of product.
In FIG. 2, the element 6 rigidly fixed or closed at
sealing bottom 2, in a known manner allowing it to be able to rotate around the axis of the container 1 in a sealed manner.
The spring 12, placed between the shoulder 18 of a threaded bush 16 cooperating with the rod 4 and the underside of the piston 3, is slightly compressed and maintained in this state by two circular ribs 21 and 22 formed respectively, one on the sleeve 16 and the other on the sleeve 15 formed in the center, of the piston 3.
The sleeve 15 of the piston 3 and the sleeve 17 closed on the upper face of the shoulder 18 its ~ provided with two complementary parts 8 and 9 preventing the sleeve 16 from turning-
axial cement limited with respect to this element.
The valve 13 hermetically closing the orifice 7 blocks the piston 3 in its position and forces the sleeve 16, during the rotation of the rod 4, to move upwards in
The opening of the valve 13 brings out under a high pressure a quantity of the liquid, viscous or thick product corresponding to the number of -ours printed before the element 6 by the user.
It is understood that the arrangements described and shown may be subject to various modifications and variants without departing from the scope of the invention.
It is further understood that the invention is not limited to the specific applications described above.
