Abstract

The present invention relates to a nozzle with internal obturation for the flow of viscous or pasty products expelled from their package by compression, characterized in that it consists of a fixed element (1) firmly connected by screwing on the thread (8) of a package (9) and a mobile element (2) moving over the fixed element (1) in such a way as to cause the obturation of the flow channel (3) by the contact of the internal surfaces (4) of the moving element (2) with the surfaces (5) of the obturator (6) of the fixed element (1). The nozzle of the present invention makes it possible to use viscous or pasty products packaged in a deformable tube or in a rigid package with a mobile bottom, to interrupt the flow of the product while it is being used, between two applications, this flow being due to compression and to the inertia due to the state of the product.

Description

BUSE A OBTURATION INTERNEINTERNAL CLOSURE NOZZLE

FOR FLOWING VISCOUS OR PASTE PRODUCTS FROM THEIR PACKAGING BY COMPRESSION.
The present invention relates to a nozzle, for example made of plastic, intended to equip packages of viscous or pasty products which can be expelled under pressure, and characterized in that it comprises a device making it possible to completely and internally seal the channel 'flow.
-We know that many products in a viscous or pasty state are today packaged in malleable and deformable tubes made of flexible metal or plastic, or in rigid cylindrical tubes with moving bottom, such as, for example, glues, mastics , sealing pastes, cosmetic or food creams and pastes.
These viscous or pasty products are expelled from their packaging either by deformation of the container itself and consequently modification of the volumes, as in the case of paint tubes, tubes of toothpaste, tubes of mayonnaise or ketchup sauce, or by application directly on the product of a pressure obtained for example by the displacement of the movable bottom of a rigid cylindrical packaging as in the case of adhesives, sealants, sealing pastes and other plastic seals.
The use of viscous or pasty products expelled by pressure generally causes the user an inconvenience mainly due to the inertia of the product, consecutive to its state, which results in the continuation of the flow of the product out of its packaging after total release of pressure.
This therefore results in a significant loss of product and a very unpleasant effect for the user.
The excess of product expelled without order contaminates the packaging and makes a new grip difficult or unpleasant, but also becomes an obstacle in the case of application requiring the raising of the nozzle between two points of application, for the start of 'a new product cord.
These drawbacks are easily verifiable when using a tube of toothpaste for example, the expulsion of which continues after the tube has been laid. This state of affairs therefore requires the user to place his loaded toothbrush of dough on any support, which is not an obvious gesture given the ergonomic shapes of commercial toothbrushes, to close the dough tube as quickly as possible before too much material is expelled from it .
Identical situations are found in the case of the application of cords of mastic intended to seal cracks and junctions of panels in the DIY sector. Indeed, when the user has to raise the end of the standard nozzle of the support, to change application point, an excess of material is quickly expelled by inertia, constituting a very annoying pile of dough to start a new bead. The user is then forced to wipe the end of the nozzle before tackling a new point of application and stains the hands with putty or glue which makes the operation unpleasant.
On the other hand, the mass of paste expelled after use does not constitute a sufficiently tight stopper to prevent the content remaining in the packaging and in the nozzle from drying and hardening.
Consequently, if the entire volume of dough contained in the packaging is not used up in full during the first use, the remainder of the product still wrapped or stagnant in the nozzle is intended to dry and be definitively lost.
Considering that it is very difficult to clean a standard commercial nozzle, in which a glue or a putty would have dried, it can be considered that the products currently available on the market and packaged in such packages are for single use.
The present invention aims to overcome such drawbacks and significantly improve the use of such packaging and the preservation of their content.
The internally closed nozzle of the present invention provides the user with the possibility of interrupting the flow of the product by a quick and simple movement applied directly to the nozzle, during operation.
Indeed, the nozzle of the present invention equipping a viscous or pasty product packaging is provided with a shutter intervening inside the nozzle itself, so as to close the flow channel on command of the user. The opening of the flow channel is also caused by the user acting on the nozzle.
The invention therefore offers the user the possibility of interrupting the flow of the nozzle during and at the end of the operation, thereby considerably facilitating the start-up of new beads of dough.
The present invention also makes it possible to keep the nozzle closed in leaktight manner, to considerably improve the retention times of the content between two uses.
To this end, the invention relates to a flow nozzle for viscous or pasty products conditioned to be expelled under pressure, characterized in that it consists of two elements, a fixed element acting as a shutter and made integral with the packaging of the product generally by screwing, and an element acting as a conductor of the contained product, preferably of conical shape and movable relative to the fixed element.
According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the mobile element moves on the fixed element by screwing, so that the mobile element approaches the container when it is turned in one direction and away from the container when turned in reverse.
When the obturation of the nozzle is sought, the movable element is turned in the direction bringing it closer to the container until the internal walls of the conical part of the movable element, are in contact with the upper part of the fixed element, thus causing the flow channel to be blocked. By turning the movable element in the opposite direction, it moves away from the container, therefore from the fixed element integral with the container, causing the separation of the contact previously established and releasing the flow channel.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the mobile element moves on the fixed element, by a longitudinal movement, without any rotational movement, so that the obturation is caused by the longitudinal displacement of the movable element in one direction, and the opening caused by the longitudinal displacement of the movable element in the opposite direction.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the mobile element moves on the fixed element, by a combination of longitudinal and rotary movements, consisting in bringing the mobile element closer to or away from the container, therefore from the fixed element which is integral with it, and lock the positions by rotation of the mobile element on the fixed element.
The following descriptions with reference to the accompanying drawings by way of nonlimiting examples will make it possible to understand how the invention can be put into practice.
FIG. 1 is a view of the internally closed nozzle of the invention when the movable element (2) is completely screwed onto the fixed element (1), that is to say in the position closest to the container, causing for example the closure of the flow channel (3). Figure 2 is a view of the internally closed nozzle of the invention when the movable member (2) is unscrewed and away from the container, causing for example the opening of the flow channel (3). Figure 3 shows the internal closure by contact of the inner walls (4) of the movable element (2) on the walls (5) of the shutter (6) of the fixed element (1). FIG. 4 shows the open flow channel (3), the separation of the contact between the interior walls (4) of the movable element (2) and the walls (5) of the shutter (6) of the fixed element (1). Figure 5 is a sectional view of the internally closed nozzle of the invention, mounted on the threaded outlet (8) of a cylindrical package with movable bottom (9), in the closed position, where we can perceive the mobile element (2) screwed on the fixed element (1). Figure 6 is a view of the internally closed nozzle of the invention mounted on the threaded outlet (8) of a cylindrical package with movable bottom (9), in the open position, the flow channel (3) being released . Figure 7 is a representation of the internally closed nozzle of the invention mounted in the open position on a malleable metal tube (10). Figure 8 is a representation of the internally closed nozzle of the invention, mounted in the closed position on a rigid cylindrical package with movable bottom (9). Figure 9 is a half-section view to the left of the fixed element (1) separated from the movable element (2), according to the preferred embodiment of the invention. Figure 10 is a view of the movable element (2) separated from the fixed element (1), according to the preferred embodiment of the invention.
The internally closed nozzle for flow of viscous or pasty products according to the invention comprises two elements: - A fixed element (1) intended to be permanently attached and generally by screwing to a container of viscous or pasty product (9.10). - A mobile element (2) intended to move on the fixed element (1).
According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixed element (1) consists of a part preferably made of plastic, consisting on the one hand of a low cylindrical part (11) externally knurled in (17) or provided by any other means facilitating gripping and screwing, and internally threaded at (14) so as to be assembled by screwing onto the outlet thread (8) of a container (9.10) of pasty product, and other part of an upper cylindrical part (12) internally hollow at (15) and externally threaded at (16) so as to receive by screwing the movable element (2).
An axis (13), one end of which has a bulge (6) extends the cylindrical parts (11) and (12), connected by the end opposite the bulge to the upper cylindrical part (12).
The hollow volume (15) of the upper cylindrical part (12) and the thread (14) of the lower cylindrical part (11) are communicating.
The axis (13) is made integral with the upper cylindrical part (12) by means of a wall (18) integral with the interior surface (20) of the hollow volume (15). The plane of the wall (18) is perpendicular to the axis of the low and high cylindrical parts (11) and (12), the axis (13) is perpendicular to the plane of the wall (18).
The wall (18) supporting in its center the axis (13) is perforated with at least two holes (19) of section and shape sufficient to allow easy passage of the pasty product, from the container (9.10) to the exterior passing through the hollow volume (15) of the upper cylindrical part (12) and the flow channel (3).
Depending on the manufacturing method chosen, the wall (18) can be connected in the high position, low position, or intermediate positions inside the hollow volume (15) of the high cylindrical part (12).
According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, the movable element (2) preferably made of plastic material facilitating the flow, consists of a cylindrical tube (21) extended by a conical tube (22) leading to the orifice deportation by the. flow channel (3). In the part opposite the cone (22) the movable element (2) has an internal thread (23) compatible with the external thread (16) of the upper cylindrical part (12) of the fixed element (1).
The cylindrical part of the tube (21) is provided externally with a means facilitating gripping and screwing, such as for example knurling, grooving, or longitudinal ribs as shown (Fig 10).
According to a different embodiment of the invention, the upper cylindrical part (12) of the fixed element (1) and the part opposite the cone (22) of the movable element (2) are arranged so that the movement of the movable element (2) relative to the fixed element (1) is carried out longitudinally and without rotation of one element relative to the other, the obturation being caused for example by the approach to the container of the movable element (2) and the opening by moving it away from the container.
According to another embodiment different from the invention, the upper cylindrical part (12) of the fixed element (1) and the part opposite the cone (22) of the movable element (2) are arranged so that that the movement of the mobile element (2) relative to the fixed element (1) is achieved by combination of a longitudinal and rotary movement, the longitudinal movement governing the closing or opening of the flow channel (3 ) and the rotary movement ensuring the locking of the positions.
