Abstract

The invention relates to a compression vest used to exert permanent compression on the torso of the human body and more particularly on the sternal region. According to the invention, the vest (100) has a sternal shaper (102) on the inside, which is solidly attached to it, which shaper comprises a sternal compression member (103) connected at the bottom to an abdominal strap (104) and at the top to two shoulder straps (105), this strap and these shoulder straps being connected to the dorsal part of the vest by associated internal seams (110). The compression vest preferably comprises a front opening and a dorsal opening, both being reclosable.
