Abstract

Device acting as an animal-design clasp for articles of jewellery. h e invention relates to a device making it possible to separate two parts constituting the head of an animal closing over any ring, permitting fastening of an article of jewellery. It consists of a lower jaw (1) and of an upper jaw (4), provided with ears (5), which are articulated about a spindle (3) and held in the closed position by a spring (6). When the user exerts pressure on these ears (5), the upper jaw (4) raises up allowing any ring to be engaged therein. When the pressure is released, the upper jaw (4) lowers, enclosing this ring. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for opening and fastening bracelets and necklaces in the field of jewellery.
