Abstract

The support consists of one or more clips (4,5) in which the flexible pipe (3) is fixed, enabling it to be bent into a U-trap (2) which can be easily dismantled in the event of the trap becoming blocked to allow a rod to be pushed through it. The support can be made, for example, with two clips (4,5) each in the shape of a section of a cylinder and separated by an intermediate piece (16). The two clips can be situated in line, with the pipe bent into a half-loop between them, or they can be set side by side, with the pipe passing between them in a complete loop. In another variant of the design the support can be made with a coupling for fitting to an article of sanitary ware with a clip to one side of it. The support can be made, for example, from an injection moulded plastic such as an acetate resin, PVC or polypropylene. ADVANTAGE - More convenient to use, being easier to dismantle in event of blockage.

Description

The invention relates to a device for holding a flexible hose for discharging water from a sanitary appliance in order to give it the form of a siphon.

The siphon traditionally used in sanitary appliances is a rigid siphon in stall or plastic. The installation of such a siphon is not simple and generally exiles specific knowledge of the use of materials, open and semi-open products and cannot be set up by an occasional handyman. If a flexible hose7 is used as an evacuation, it is possible to give it a suitable shape so that it can keep a reserve of water forming a seal preventing the return of bad odors.

Patent No. 70-16944 claims a siphon using in particular a flexible pipe having a metal frame and which is held in place by two rings held in place relative to one another by a spacer; the pipe is passed successively through each of the rings so as to form a half loop to constitute the siphon; in a variant of the invention one of the rings is replaced directly by the tubular connecting piece between the sanitary appliance and the flexible pipe.

The object of the present invention is to provide an improvement to this device; indeed7 the most delicate work consists in making watertight connections between the sanitary appliance and the waste water evacuation collector; if the siphon is blocked by debris7 it is necessary to slide the pipe in the rings to be able to deform it in order to unclog it is not an easy operation and the room for maneuver to obtain a result remains low; otherwise it is necessary to dismantle one of the ends in order to be able to intervene in good conditions.

The invention consists in replacing at least one ring with a clip (i) Fig. in which the flexible hose is fixed; the clip is substantially in the form of a cylinder of revolution sector, the section of which is taken perpendicularly to the generators has internally an arc of circle, of radius substantially equal to the radius of the flexible pipe to be maintained, describing an angle greater than pi to present an undercut in the vicinity of the edges which can deform elastically to allow the flexible hose to pass and then hold it in place; the flexible pipe is preferably reinforced with a rigid spiral wire or a succession of rings allowing it to retain a cylindrical shape while being able to be bent; it suffices to connect the two ends of the flexible hose on the one hand to the sanitary appliance and on the other hand to the waste water evacuation collector 7 then to install the flexible hose t37 Fig. 2 in the clip (s) ( 4) and (5) provided for this purpose to make a siphon (2) Fig.2; the siphon thus produced makes it possible to obtain the desired amount of water by enlarging or decreasing for example the half loop which constitutes it; it is also easy to undo this siphon to give it a suitable shape to introduce a rod allowing it to unclog. In a preferred version of the invention, the device is composed of a clip (II) Fi, 34 secured to the tubular part (12) for connecting the flexible pipe to the sanitary appliance by means of a spacer ( 5.3); when the connecting piece (2) is fixed to the sanitary appliance and the flexible pipe (14) fixed to the latter, it suffices to make a half loop (15) in the flexible pipe (14) and pass it through the clip (11) to obtain a siphon; the advantage of such a system it is no longer necessary to worry about the fixing of the flexible pipe holding device; in a variant of the preferred version, the clip can be given an orientation allowing a loop to be made with the flexible pipe. The way of positioning the clips relative to each other to obtain a half loop or a loop or several loops, is infinite and remains in the field of the invention; in fact the result remains the same regardless of the solution chosen and the choice is determined by collar considerations.

 The clips are generally made of materials having good resistance to corrosion and having good elastic characteristics; acetal resins are particularly well suited to this function but it is equally possible to use less expensive materials such as plypropylene or PVC, it being understood that disassembly is infrequent; the production of the clips by injection of plastic material is simplified when the portion of the cylinder sector located at the height of the undercuts is eliminated in order to allow a natural release of the part.

Claims (7)

Claims 1-Flexible pipe holding device, making it possible to form a siphon, characterized in that it consists of at least one clip (1) in which the flexible pipe (3) is fixed, making it possible to constitute the water guard said siphon and easy disassembly in case of blockage of the siphon so7 for example, to be able to introduce inside the pipe (3) a drain rod. 2-flexible pipe holding device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it consists of two clips (4} and (5) having substantially the shape of a cylinder cylinder sector of revolution7 separated by a spacer (16) .  3-Dispositi $ maintenance of flexible pipe, according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the clips (4) and (5) are in the extension of one another to form with the flexible pipe a siphon shaped half loop. 4-flexible pipe holding device according to claim 2 characterized in that the clips (8) and (9) are positioned this to cute to allow to make a siphon in the form of a loop (7) so as not to have to fix when for example the pipe has a general vertical direction. 5-flexible pipe holding device according to the first claim, characterized in that it comprises a clip (11) connected by a spacer (13) to the tubular part (12) for connecting the flexible pipe to the sanitary appliance, allowing to make a siphon by making a half loop (15) to the flexible pipe (14).  6-flexible pipe holding device according to the first claim, characterized in that it comprises a clip connected by a spacer to the tubular part for connecting the flexible pipe to the sanitary appliance, oriented so as to be able to make a siphon by looping the flexible hose. 7-flexible pipe holding device7 according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that it is made of injected plastic material such as acetal resin, or P.V.C. or polypropylene.
